If the rails sit higher than you want for daily entry, N-Fab's detachable RKR steps bolt to them and add up to 3" of drop with a 3" wide step. Run bare rails first and add the steps later; they are sold separately.
One-piece rails, three-stage finish
Each rail is 1.75" steel tube with a .120" wall, fully welded into a single piece with no bolted joints along its length. A three-stage textured black powder coat seals the steel, and N-Fab warrants that finish for five years.
Slider first, step second
The RKR rail tucks in close to the body, so rocks and stumps meet 1.75" steel tube rather than the rockers. The same outer tube is your step into the cab on the drive to the trailhead.

Can I add steps to the rails later?
Yes. N-Fab's detachable RKR steps bolt to these rails and add up to 3" of drop with a 3" wide step. They are sold separately, so you can run bare rails first and add steps whenever you like.
Do I have to drill into my vehicle to install these?
Most applications bolt to factory mounting points with the included hardware. Where a vehicle needs a hole drilled, the Installation tab of that listing says so, so check it for your part number.
Will they protect my rockers off-road?
That is what they are for. The rails are 1.75" steel tube with a .120" wall, so a rock or stump meets the rail before the rocker. N-Fab does not publish a load rating, so we do not quote one.
Can I use the rail as a step?
Yes. The outer tube works as a step into the cab. It sits high and tight, so if you want a lower, wider step, the detachable RKR steps are the add-on.
Will the finish hold up to road salt?
The rails carry a three-stage textured black powder coat that N-Fab warrants for five years. Trail use will scrape it, so touch up bare steel and rinse off salt through the winter to stop rust starting at a damaged spot.
Do they come as a pair, and is the hardware included?
Yes. Every order is two rails, driver and passenger side, with the vehicle-specific mounting hardware and instructions.
