Steel plate where your foot lands

The Roan's step is a 5.5" wide plate of 12-gauge steel, stitch-welded onto a tubular steel frame, and N-Fab rates the result at 475 lb. That gives a flat, stable surface under the whole boot, with raised louvers on top so the grip holds when it is wet.

Tread plates that come off

The Roan's raised-louver tread plates bolt on rather than being welded in place. Take them off to refinish or color them to suit your build, separately from the steel frame that stays on the vehicle.

Set the board where you want it

An adjustable mounting system lets you position the Roan during install instead of accepting wherever a fixed bracket happens to put it. The brackets use existing holes in the rocker panel, so the job is a bolt-on with nothing drilled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

Do I have to drill into my truck to install these?

No. The Roan brackets line up with existing holes in the rocker panel, and every Roan application installs with the supplied hardware without cutting or drilling.

How much weight can the Roan hold?

N-Fab rates the Roan at a 475 lb weight capacity. It is built from a tubular steel frame with a 12-gauge steel plate step, which is where that rating comes from.

Will the powder coat hold up to road salt?

The Roan is steel under a textured black powder coat that N-Fab warrants for five years. The coating is tough, but no finish on steel is immune to salt, so touch up any deep chips and rinse the boards through the winter to keep rust from starting at a damaged spot.

Can I adjust where the boards sit?

Yes. The Roan uses an adjustable mounting system, so you can position the boards during install before the hardware is tightened.

Are the tread plates removable?

Yes. The louvered tread plates bolt on, so they can be taken off to be refinished or painted to match your build, separately from the frame.

Do they come as a pair, and is the hardware included?

Yes. Every order is two boards, driver and passenger side, with the tread plates fitted, the vehicle-specific brackets and the hardware kit.
