Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

What is a chase light?

A chase light faces rearward to show following vehicles where you are and what you are doing, which matters in dust or at night.

Can Chase work as a brake or reverse light?

Chase has auxiliary trigger inputs, so it can be wired to signals such as brake or reverse. Follow Rigid's wiring instructions for the setup you want.

Can I use it on the street?

Rigid does not list this light as SAE or DOT compliant, and Rigid's warranty terms state that some Rigid lights are built and sold strictly for off-road driving. Treat it as an off-road light and follow your state's rules for auxiliary lighting.

Where should the relay go?

Rigid recommends mounting relays inside the cab, away from the heat and moisture under the hood.

How should I clean the lens?

Rigid recommends mild soap and water or mineral spirits. Ammonia-based cleaners, household glass cleaners and liquid detergents can fade or crack the polycarbonate lens, and Rigid advises skipping automatic car washes for that reason.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Start with the store you bought from, keeping your proof of purchase. Rigid may ask for photos or video, and if the product is found defective it will replace it, refund it or issue store credit.
