Can Ignite be a backup light?
Yes. Rigid sells a diffused Ignite backup kit for that purpose, and the diffused beam suits reverse lighting.

Is Ignite road legal?
Rigid does not list this light as SAE or DOT compliant, and Rigid's warranty terms state that some Rigid lights are built and sold strictly for off-road driving. Treat it as an off-road light and follow your state's rules for auxiliary lighting.
How should I clean the lens?
