White lifted JL Unlimited with stubby front bumper in a sand canyon

Keep your stock shocks working

A mild lift pulls the axle farther from the frame, and the factory shocks can run short on travel. These brackets add the missing length so the original dampers keep doing their job at the new height.

Red lifted Jeep Gladiator Rubicon on a gravel lot under cloudy sky

Simple bolt-in brackets

Each extension drops into the factory axle mount and takes the stock shock hardware, so there is nothing to cut and the install stays straightforward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

Do I still need new shocks after a lift?

Not right away. These brackets let the factory shocks work at a mild lift height, which is useful if you plan to upgrade the shocks later.

Which lift heights do these suit?

Each kit is sized for the small lift range listed on the product. Larger lifts need longer shocks rather than extensions.

Do I have to lift the Jeep to install them?

TeraFlex says the extensions can be installed without lifting the vehicle. If you do raise it, use the factory lifting points and support it on jack stands.

Does the kit include new shock bolts?

The kit supplies the hardware that mounts the extension to the axle, and the factory hardware is reused to mount the shock into the extension.

Will I need an alignment?

TeraFlex advises an alignment by a shop experienced with lifted 4x4s after any suspension change.

Is there any cutting or welding?

No. The brackets bolt into the existing axle-side shock mounts.
