- Fold-Up Front Access: Release a hidden latch on either side of the bed, just behind the cab, and the front 30" folds back, so you can grab gear from behind the cab without dropping the tailgate. Fold it forward again and the front latches catch on their own. Just never drive with that front section open.
- Full Bed Access: Drop the tailgate, release the driver-side trigger latch and roll the cover toward the cab; the load bars roll up inside the vinyl. Secure it with the included straps and the whole bed is open for tall cargo.
- Low-Profile Look: Closed, the Deuce sits just 3/4" above the bed rails, so from the side it nearly disappears. TruXedo counts it among the lowest-profile soft roll-up covers made.
- Tension Control in the Hinges: Spring-loaded tension controls built into the hinges adjust the pull on the vinyl, and floating hook-and-loop sides help keep it taut as the seasons change. If it ever needs a tweak, the manual says to adjust it in small steps during the warmest part of the day.
- Sealed at All Four Corners: EPDM rubber seals close off all four corners, and two foam block seals press against the front bulkhead, to help keep rain and dust out of the bed. Like any soft cover, it is weather-resistant, not airtight.
- Vinyl Over a Powder-Coated Frame: The top is industrial-grade, tear-resistant vinyl with a leather-grain finish, stretched over a rigid but lightweight aluminum frame. TruXedo powder coats the aluminum in gloss black to resist corrosion.

TruXedo cuts this Deuce for one truck and bed: the 2014-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 / GMC Sierra 1500 and 2015-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 / GMC Sierra 2500/3500 with the 6'7" bed (78.9"). That is the box GM calls its 6'6" standard box. For 2019 it fits only the Silverado 1500 LD (Legacy) and Sierra 1500 Limited, which kept the 2018 body, not the redesigned 2019 trucks. The Deuce opens from both ends: roll it up from the tailgate, or flip the front 30" back with the hidden latch on either side. No drilling or cutting is needed; the rails clamp to the bed. The vinyl stays taut through the seasons thanks to tension controls in the hinges, and EPDM seals guard the corners. It rides only 3/4" above the rails when closed. You get TruXedo's limited lifetime warranty.

Will this fit my 2014-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 / GMC Sierra 1500?
Yes, if it has the 6'7" box. Measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate; you should get about 78.9". A 5'9" box takes 771801 (about 69.3"). For 2019 it fits only the Silverado 1500 LD (Legacy) and Sierra 1500 Limited, which kept the 2018 body, not the redesigned 2019 trucks.
Will it fit my 2019 Silverado 1500 or Sierra 1500?
Only the 2019 Silverado 1500 LD (Legacy) or Sierra 1500 Limited, which carried over the 2018 body. The redesigned 2019 trucks take a different part, listed under Not for. Send us your VIN if you're unsure which you have.
How do I open just the front of the bed?
Pull the hidden latch on either side of the bed, just behind the cab, and fold the front 30" of the cover back. To close, fold it forward and the latches catch on their own; then lift up on the front edge to make sure it is latched. TruXedo's manual says never to drive with the hinged front open.
Can I drive with the cover rolled open?
Yes. Roll it all the way to the cab and fasten the included retainer straps first. Don't drive with it unlatched at the rear or only partly rolled, and don't stow it against the cab or the back window.
Will it keep my cargo dry, and can it go through a car wash?
It keeps most weather out, with EPDM rubber seals at all four corners and vinyl held taut by the hinge tension controls, but TruXedo's manual says the cover is not airtight, so keep anything that must stay dry in a sealed container. The manual allows hand washing with mild soap and water or a car wash; rinse off all the soap, and never use vinyl conditioners containing silicone, petroleum or citrus, which can crack and shrink the vinyl.
Does it lock, and can I carry things on top?
There is a security lock on the driver side, and the hidden front latches can be locked out. Keep expectations realistic: TruXedo's manual says a fabric cover won't prevent theft from the bed, and it asks you not to place objects on or against the cover or tie cargo to its frame. TruXedo publishes no load rating for the Deuce.

Here's the short version. Follow TruXedo's Deuce manual (below) for the exact rail positions and the latch linkage.
- Fit the corner block seals. Peel the backing off the two foam block seals and stick one in each front corner of the bed at the bulkhead.
- Clamp on the underbody rails. Using the sheet's 30 1/4" mark from the front bulkhead as your guide, clamp the driver and passenger underbody rails to the bed rails. Press down so the block seal compresses as you clamp, and set each clamp as high as it will go so it grips firmly.
- Set the side rail assemblies. Place each rail assembly behind its underbody rail so the two meet flush end to end, about 3/8" from the tailgate, and clamp it level while pressing down to compress the side seal. If the rear seal isn't slightly squeezed, slide the assembly back a little. Tighten every clamp securely before you drive.
- Hook on the cover. With the tailgate down and both release levers pointing toward the tailgate, drop the front header into the driver and passenger header stops together, rotate it up and lock both sides.
- Fold it forward and connect the linkage. From inside the bed, swing the cover assembly over to the cab with both hands (it's heavy) and seat the striker pins in the latch brackets. Turn both release levers to the left, peel off the anti-spin tape and connect the short tie-bars on each side.
- Close, tension and check. Unroll to the tailgate, rotate the rear header into its stops and press down until the toggle locks. Adjust tension in small steps during the warmest part of the day, press the hook-and-loop strips down along both rails, then lift on the cover's front edge to confirm the striker pins are back at 90 degrees and latched.

I had a Truxedo Deuce on my last vehicle. I loved being able to open the cover from behind the cab as well as from the tailgate, especially when something slides to the front of the bed. The Deuce 2 is built much sturdier than the original version. The rails would flex on the original version making it hard to line up the back end to close. No flex now. Also, you are now able to open the front fold back panel from either the driver's side or passenger's side. No more slamming the front panel to get it to latch, a better latching mechanism in the front catches every time. The only negative is I personally believe the cover should have been 1 inch longer for better coverage (Toyota Tacoma Long Bed). The rubber seal barely goes over the tailgate and looks like it would be prone to leaks but it hasn't yet. Also the directions weren't clear on where the adhesive rubber seal goes in the…

Too much for what it is
The cover fits for the most part. There are areas that are not as sealed as I would like in comparison to other covers I have on other trucks. I really dislike that I have to open the cover a little to close the tailgate. In hindsight, I would have spent less for a different cover.

Really good innovation
I really like this tonneau cover. It is great to be able to access near the cab without having to roll up the whole thing. I also like how secure the back latch is when closed. I feel pretty confident that my stuff is safe. Of course, someone could simply cut the vinyl, but nothing is perfectly secure. It is also not 100% waterproof, and was a touch difficult to install.

I bought a truck with the deuce already installed. Not sure how long it had been on; but edges were pretty wore out. I put some gorilla duct tape down the edges to make it last a little longer. I love the low profile design. The cross bars give the frame and cover some added strength. I like how the front can flip back; but I wish there was a way to lock this option and still be functional. I like that it locks in the back; but the locking latch sticks out and cuts into my bed extender when I flip it out. I wish I could just buy a replacement cover, since the rest of mine is fine. I’d still say it’s a good deal for the money; I’d just change a few things to make it even better.

Poor fitting & doesn't seal
First, the installation was nowhere near as simple as the instructions made it out to be. Second, it appears that this product is not really designed to properly fit on a 2024 Ram 2500. The rails do not fully sit on top of the trim that is present on the truck bed no matter how you adjust the clamps. The ridge of the mounting rails is not large enough to sit flush. I even had a helper put their weight on top of the rails while I tightened the clamps & they still won't sit down to create a seal along the bed. Even with the header seal on the bed, the front part of the cover does not sit down on the bed header therefore water gets into the bed. Same holds true for the tailgate seal. One of the front folding section lock studs needs constant adjustment so that it will lock when you close the cover. I've had many trucks with tonneau covers & this is probably the worst one that I've used. I…

Easy to stall and way more secure than my last one that blew off the back driving down the highway. Lots of ways to adjust for best and tight fit. Live the front opens up for cooler access. I would recommend to everyone looking at soft covers.

Only complaint is if you have plastic rail covers ('14 F150 does) then it sits about a half inch higher than the tailgate and looks a little strange, but works great and the cab access makes it worth the money.

front lock is BS does not work no matter how it is adjusted . had one on my 150 and did not like it but this i thought would be better and its not its worse
