It is a full-size extra-wide crossover, or saddle, box that mounts across the top bed rails behind the cab, so it fits full-size pickups such as the F-150, Silverado and Sierra 1500 through 3500, Ram 1500 through 3500, Tundra and Titan. It needs about 72" of rail-to-rail width. Measure your bed rails and check clearance behind the cab first, and note it is not designed for compact or mid-size trucks.
No. The box ships with under-rail clamps and hardware, so it mounts without drilling into your truck. Most installs take about 20 to 30 minutes and go easiest with two people to lift and hold the box while you clamp it down.
This earlier-generation saddle box uses a One Key push-button high-security lock. Press the button to release the lid, and the keyed cylinder lets you code several boxes on one truck, or an entire fleet, to a single key. It is PowerSync capable as well, so it pairs with Weather Guard interior lights and remote keyless entry accessories.

This is the previous-generation 117 saddle box, running the proven One Key push-button high-security lock and PowerSync wiring rather than the newer 1Key UltraLock hardware on the current version. The welded aluminum diamond-plate body, full-perimeter weather seal and no-drill mounting carry over unchanged, so you get the same everyday performance at a lower, value price.
This previous-generation box is five-piece welded aluminum diamond plate under a clear ARMOR TUF coat. It measures 72"L x 27-1/2"W x 18-1/2"H, holds 14.4ft³, and ships at about 81.56 lb, so it stays much lighter than steel while giving you a value price.

I had this toolbox on my truck, worth every penny i bought it for! always full of tools! I have went on a fishing trip, and parked at the gate fo the park to watin on it to open up, and a tree fell on it 8" in diameter, 25' long. totally destroyed the toolbox, but saved my truck from getting totaled. pretty amazed at the toughness of the toolbox. I will always have weathergaurd items when possible.
Really like the product the only downfall is I'm having a hard time closing the lid even after putting washers on it.

I’ve been using this comercially for years. It never leaks. This extra wide and extra deep model has great capacity. Thicker walls than the less expensive defender series. I raised mine with aluminum spacers to fit more long material in my truck bed beneath the box. Love the automotive style locks and latches

Got the tool box on sale as a black friday deal and it is one of the best tool boxes ive ever had. The quality is top notch and everything works flawlessly. Theres all kinds of room and it comes with a nice red tool tray thats mounts inside(not pictured) along with a clear plastic organizer box for smaller items. Id give it a 10/10
Easy to install, I have a F350 and I can fit 4x8’s under this which is critical for me and work. Easy to bolt down and it’s not going anywhere. The locking mechanism is easy to use and allows me to not worry about my tools on sites or parking lots. Worth every penny!

117-52-02 on a 2017 F-350. Been using Weatherguard products for decades and very disappointed in this box. As other reviews have said you have to get into the bed and push this lid from the center to get this box to positively latch on both sides. Even with a 3rd step on my truck and stretching acoss the box and slamming it will not close the opposite latch.

What a great tool box for my truck! Put it in a 2023 chevy 1500 to store all the stuff I need to carry gear for my guys onsite. Really really happy I got the extra wide box. It makes such a big difference. It's got some great weather seals that keep all my stuff dry. I even tried giving it a few deliberate sprays when washing the truck to test it and it stayed dry. The locks are great in that you can unlock one side (and leave the other locked) and open the tool box. They are also conveniently located so you don't have to get into the bed of the truck to open the box or lock/unlock it. When I need another box for new trucks I will definitely be getting another one of these. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This is by far the best toolbox that I’ve owned. It’s light weight but really well built and has exellent locking latches. The push button feature is also very nice. I’ve had mine on my truck for over a year now and the powder coat finish still looking brand new. Overall it’s money well spent.

Great, well built toolbox! I’m in the land clearing and site work business, so I carry as many tools that I might need as I can. My old, standard sized toolbox allowed for a lot of it, but it was so disorganized and cluttered that it took me longer to find something than it did to fix it. This toolbox resolved that issue for me and allows me to carry it all and in an organized way. I love it!

Box is great, wide enough to hold plenty but shallow so things aren't buried and I can still slide long items underneath. A bit pricey but so is everything nowadays.....

This is my 4th box of this model from weather guard and the quality has gone down. The locks are cheaper and the inner tray is alot cheaper, was very disappointed they cut corners on these 2 items other than that the box is still nice.
Nice well made toolbox. When I programmed the keys, the latch would not unlock. Figured out the latch pushrods needed to be shortened about 1/8” . After that, everything was good. No complaints.
Tool box is well built, heavy duty. I have owned numerous weatherguard boxes before and they all work well for the demanding professional or serious truck lover. 4 stars due to the fact that it takes some love to make it latch. havent had time to tinker with it but assume the gaskets are tight and latches need to be adjusted to make it work correctly..Well Worth The Money overall!
