- Lo-Side rail mount: The box rides on top of one bed side rail, low enough to keep your view out the rear window and leave the bed floor free for cargo.
- High-security push-button lock: A One Key push-button lock guards the lid, and its cylinder can be coded so several boxes run on the same key.
- PowerSync ready: The box is prepared for Weather Guard's PowerSync add-ons, such as interior lighting and remote keyless entry, sold separately.
- Gas strut, reinforced lid: A gas strut raises the reinforced lid to roughly 90 degrees and holds it, so one hand is enough to open it.
- Full-perimeter weather seal: A multi-ridge seal runs all the way around the lid, and a drain plug lets out any water that does get in.
- ARMOR TUF powder coat: An ARMOR TUF powder coat guards the finish against corrosion, chipping and fading over the years.

At 41" long, the 184-0-03 is the shortest earlier-generation Lo-Side, in bright aluminum diamond plate with a clear ARMOR TUF coat. It stores 3.0 ft³ in a 41" x 17" x 13" body and ships at roughly 36.85 lb. Its lock is the -03 One Key push-button with PowerSync-ready access.

Will it fit an F-150?
It is on our fitment list for that truck. Rail lengths vary by bed, so measure the usable length of your side rail against this 41" box before ordering.
Which side of the bed does it go on?
It mounts on one bed side rail, fixed with blind fasteners in drilled holes per Weather Guard's -03 manual. Check that the lid can open fully where you place it.
Do I have to drill my truck?
Yes. Weather Guard's manual for these -03 Lo-Side boxes uses blind fasteners set in drilled holes. On an aluminum bed, coat each drilled hole with zinc-rich primer.
What is PowerSync?
PowerSync is Weather Guard's add-on system for box lighting and remote keyless entry. These boxes are ready for it, and the parts are sold separately.
How does the -03 differ from the -04?
The -03 is the earlier generation, with the One Key push-button lock and PowerSync-ready access. Weather Guard's current -04 Lo-Side boxes carry the 1Key UltraLock coded lock instead.
Can the lock code be changed?
No. Weather Guard's manual warns that once a lock has been coded it stays on that code, so decide which key you want before coding.

Here's the short version. Follow Weather Guard's install sheet (below) for the exact positions and hardware.
- Code the locks with your key before first use. Once a lock is coded it cannot be changed. Lock and unlock it to test.
- Mount the box with the supplied bolt kit, using the blind fasteners and 5/16" flat washers at the truck box rail as shown in the figures.
- On an aluminum bed, use the aluminum upfit parts and coat every drilled hole with zinc rich primer.

Weather Guard backs this box with its Limited Lifetime Warranty, issued by Werner Co.: the box is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for its expected lifetime, counted from the day you buy it.- Only the original purchaser is covered, and coverage ends if the box passes to a new owner.
- Every claim needs a copy of the original sales receipt, so keep your Prestige Truck order receipt with your records.
- Werner Co. picks the remedy: it repairs the faulty part or replaces the whole box at no charge for parts or labor, or it may refund what you paid or issue a credit toward a new Weather Guard product.
- Not covered: normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, accident damage, repairs Werner Co. did not authorize, misuse, overloading, or a box that was not mounted or used as Weather Guard's written instructions describe. Damage to what is stored in the box or to the vehicle is excluded too.
- Where the law allows, Werner Co. accepts no liability for incidental, special, indirect or consequential damages, economic loss included. This is the only express warranty on Weather Guard products, and no dealer can change it.

Inspect on delivery
Make sure both keys and the hardware kit with its blind fasteners and installation tool are in the carton, and check the seal and finish before the box goes on the rail. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.

Professional boxes
These boxes are awesome! Easy to open and shut. No pounding on the lid to make sure it seals. Just pull down on the lid gently and it locks and seals with ease. We take our trucks through a high pressure car wash and there’s never a drop of water in the box. Also no dust, grass, or leaves gets in like some of the less expensive boxes we have. I know these boxes are way more expensive than most, but they’re worth it if you don’t want what you store in it wet, rusted, corroded, or stolen.

Great Box
This is one of three boxes that I bought for my new truck. I bought these same boxes 20 years ago (aluminum plated) for my first work truck and they're still working great. I through equipment and inventory in them all day everyday, stand on them and leave them out in the weather and still they look great. I'm looking forward to getting them same use out of this box.
