Van Shelf Back Panels and Door Accessories Install

Weather Guard's step-by-step guide covers fitting the back panels and door accessories that turn an open van shelf unit into a closed, secure one. Back panels stop small parts dropping down behind the shelving, and the doors keep contents in place and out of sight. It is the reference to use when you are adding to shelving you already own. Because it is the manufacturer's own video, it shows the correct fixing points and the order the parts go together.

Conquer the Chaos in Your Work Van

Weather Guard's own short film on van storage, built around the difference between a van you have to dig through and one where every item has a home. It shows the Weather Guard van range working as a single interior rather than as separate parts bolted in over time. It is a useful orientation if you are planning an upfit and are not sure where to start. Because it is manufacturer content, the shelving, bins and flooring shown are the current Weather Guard line rather than an older catalog.

Installation Help for Your Van Accessories

Weather Guard made this video for anyone who would rather not tackle a van upfit alone. It covers the installation support Weather Guard offers on its van accessories and how to get a fitment question answered before it becomes a problem. Watch it before you start if this is your first upfit. Knowing the support route in advance is usually what keeps a Saturday install from turning into a Monday phone call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

What shelving does the 902-3-01 mount to?

It is designed to mount to standard 16" deep Weather Guard van shelving using the included hardware. It is a modular unit, so it attaches to the Weather Guard system rather than bolting to the van body. Confirm you have about 21" of open shelf width and 16" of depth before ordering.

Do the drawers stay closed while I drive?

Yes. Each of the two drawers has a latch that keeps it shut even when the cabinet itself is unlocked, so the drawers will not fly open on hard stops or rough roads. Lock the cam lock and the whole module is secured with one key.

How is it different from the 903 module?

The 902 is the two-drawer version and the 903 is the three-drawer version in the same 21" wide footprint. Choose the 902 when you want fewer, deeper drawers, or pair the two as the 9045 five-drawer kit.

Can I stack or combine modules?

Yes. The 902 stacks with other Weather Guard secure storage modules and locking cabinets, so you can build a custom secure storage wall in the van. Secure the upper unit to the lower one before loading gear.

What is it made of and how secure is it?

The box and drawers are welded steel with a heavy-duty locking mechanism and a keyed cam lock, so it resists prying and casual theft on the jobsite and overnight. The Brite White ARMOR TUF powder coat protects it against moisture and grime.

Is it covered by a warranty?

Yes. It is backed by the Weather Guard Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. It ships at about 40 pounds.
