Van Shelf Back Panels and Door Accessories Install

Weather Guard's step-by-step guide covers fitting the back panels and door accessories that turn an open van shelf unit into a closed, secure one. Back panels stop small parts dropping down behind the shelving, and the doors keep contents in place and out of sight. It is the reference to use when you are adding to shelving you already own. Because it is the manufacturer's own video, it shows the correct fixing points and the order the parts go together.

Conquer the Chaos in Your Work Van

Weather Guard's own short film on van storage, built around the difference between a van you have to dig through and one where every item has a home. It shows the Weather Guard van range working as a single interior rather than as separate parts bolted in over time. It is a useful orientation if you are planning an upfit and are not sure where to start. Because it is manufacturer content, the shelving, bins and flooring shown are the current Weather Guard line rather than an older catalog.

Installation Help for Your Van Accessories

Weather Guard made this video for anyone who would rather not tackle a van upfit alone. It covers the installation support Weather Guard offers on its van accessories and how to get a fitment question answered before it becomes a problem. Watch it before you start if this is your first upfit. Knowing the support route in advance is usually what keeps a Saturday install from turning into a Monday phone call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

How is the 9914-3-02 different from the 9912?

The 9914 has four shallow drawers in the same 16" wide footprint, while the 9912 has two. Choose the 9914 when you want finer separation, a drawer each for wrenches, drivers, meters and fittings.

Do the drawers glide smoothly?

Yes. All four drawers ride on ball-bearing rollers and pull out on easy-to-grip handles, so opening a drawer is quick and clean even with gloves on.

Do the drawers stay shut while driving?

Yes. Each drawer latches closed and holds even when the cabinet is unlocked, so none of the four slide open on hard stops or washboard roads.

Can I stack it?

Yes. It stacks with other 16" wide Weather Guard cabinets, so you can combine it with two-drawer and eight-drawer units to build a storage tower.

Does it come with a bracket?

No. The mounting bracket is sold separately. Order Model 9993-3-01 for 13" deep shelving or Model 9996-3-01 for 16" deep shelving.

How big is it and what does it weigh?

About 16" wide, 12" high and roughly 13.63" deep, shipping at about 35 pounds. It is welded steel with a Brite White ARMOR TUF powder coat.
