Description & Fitment
The 1425-3 is an aluminum ladder rack for one side of a service body, finished in Brite White ARMOR TUF powder coat and rated for 200 lb. At 22 lb, and listed by Weather Guard at 24.5" long, 30.25" wide and 8" high, it pairs a swiveling, height-adjustable front post with a rear support so one person can slide a ladder on and swing it into place.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it fit a mini service body?
Yes. Weather Guard lists it for mini as well as full-size service bodies, on the left or right.
Can I fit one on each side?
Each rack mounts on one side. Weather Guard's sheet gives the swivel direction for both the driver and passenger side, so you can fit one per side.
Do I have to drill?
Yes. The support angles bolt inside the service-body side box through 3/8" holes. Put the supplied sealant under each outside fastener and under the stand bases, and touch up the holes against rust.
How high does the front post go?
The front stand comes pre-drilled for 16" and 30", with 30" the maximum. For a height in between you drill extra holes, and for 16" to 20" you cut 4" off the bottom.
Which way does the post swivel?
On the driver side it turns clockwise from facing rearward to facing the side; on the passenger side it turns the other way.
Will it hold two ladders?
Weather Guard rates it for 200 lb. Keep the total of what you carry under that.
Installation
Here's the short version. Follow Weather Guard's install sheet (below) for the exact positions and hardware.
- Set the front stand height: it is pre-drilled for 16" and 30" (30" max). Between those, drill extra holes; for 16"-20" cut 4" off the bottom.
- Bolt the upper front stand to the lower one, leaving the slot bolt loose enough for the stand to swivel.
- Inside the service-body side box, hold a support angle in the front upper corner against the top and end panel and mark all six holes; repeat at the back.
- Drill the marks 3/8". Put the supplied sealant under every outside fastener and under the stand bases.
- Set the driver-side front stand to swivel clockwise from rear-facing to side-facing (passenger side the opposite way). Touch up drilled holes against rust.

Weather Guard backs this rack with its Limited Lifetime Warranty, issued by Werner Co.: the rack is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for its expected lifetime, counted from the day you buy it.- Only the original purchaser is covered, and coverage ends if the rack passes to a new owner.
- Every claim needs a copy of the original sales receipt, so keep your Prestige Truck order receipt with your records.
- Werner Co. picks the remedy: it repairs the faulty part or replaces the whole rack at no charge for parts or labor, or it may refund what you paid or issue a credit toward a new Weather Guard product.
- Not covered: normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, accident damage, repairs Werner Co. did not authorize, misuse, overloading, or a rack that was not mounted or used as Weather Guard's written instructions describe. Damage to what you carry on it or to the vehicle is excluded too.
- Where the law allows, Werner Co. accepts no liability for incidental, special, indirect or consequential damages, economic loss included. This is the only express warranty on Weather Guard products, and no dealer can change it.
- Report a problem promptly once you find it. To start a claim, contact us with your order number and photos of the issue, and we will take it up with Weather Guard for you.

Check the front stand, rear support, support angles and the sealant packet are in the carton, and look over the white finish before drilling. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
