Is the 2267-3-01 a complete rack?
No. It is an add-on kit that converts a single-side Weather Guard EZGLIDE2 compact rack (Model 2261-3-01) to dual-side. You need that compact base rack installed first, then this kit gives the open side its own drop-down and a center cross member.
Why add a second side on a compact van?
Small vans have limited roof width, so carrying one ladder per side keeps both easy to reach and load rather than stacking two ladders on one side. It speeds up loading and keeps the load balanced.
What ladders fit the second side?
Extension ladders from 14' to 18', step ladders from 5' to 8', and podium ladders from 3' to 8', up to about 100 lb. Confirm your compact van roof load rating before loading both sides.
How is this different from the full-size dual kit?
This is the compact version, sized for the compact EZGLIDE2 rack 2261-3-01 and shorter ladders. The full-size dual kits (2275-3-01 and 2277-3-01) fit the full-size rack 2271-3-01.
Do I need another van mounting kit?
No. The van mounting is handled by the compact base rack's 2085-0-01 channel kit. This dual kit bolts to the installed base rack itself.
