Weather Guard Defender Series Truck Rack Install

Weather Guard's Defender Series install video shows the lightweight aluminum truck rack going onto a pickup with no drilling required. You see the compression clamps grip the bed rails and the crossbars set up to carry ladders, lumber and pipe, rated to about 800 pounds. It makes clear how quickly the rack mounts and how the ladder stops keep a load in place. It is a helpful look at the rack in place before you buy or install your own.

Weather Guard Steel Truck Rack Install

This official Weather Guard guide shows how to install a steel truck rack for hauling ladders, lumber and long loads over the bed. You watch the rack mount to the bed and get tightened down, with the load bars set for ladders and pipe. It gives a clear picture of how the rack goes on and how much it adds to a truck's hauling capability. It is the manufacturer's own reference for setting up the rack correctly.

Best Upgrade for Your Truck

This is Weather Guard's own brand film about outfitting a working pickup, built on the idea that the truck should already be loaded and organized before the day starts. It puts the bed and rail equipment in the context of a real work day rather than a spec sheet. Watch it if you are still deciding how much storage a truck actually needs. It is the clearest short look at how Weather Guard boxes, racks and drawer units are meant to work together on one vehicle, and it comes straight from the manufacturer rather than a reseller.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

What are the 11922 attachment points for?

They are anchor points you add to a Weather Guard aluminum headache rack so you have a dedicated ring to strap equipment and materials to. Instead of tying off to the rack tubing, you hook your strap, rope or bungee to the recessed ring.

How do they attach and adjust?

Each attachment point slides through the rack's accessory channel and locks down with a bolt. Loosen the bolt to slide it to a new spot along the rack, then tighten it back down. No drilling is needed.

How many are in a pack?

Two. They are sold as a 2-pack, so you can put an anchor on each side of a load or space them along the rack, and add more sets if you need extra tie-off points.

Do they come with straps?

No. This part is just the attachment points, so no straps, ropes or bungees are included. You supply your own tie-downs and hook them to the anchor rings.

Which racks do they fit?

They fit the four Weather Guard aluminum modular headache racks: the 11902-52-01 Open Frame, 11908-52-01 Half Bar, 11904-52-01 Louvered and 11906-52-01 Hex. They do not fit the older steel Protect-A-Rail cab protectors.

What are they made of and are they covered?

They are made of aluminum to match the aluminum racks and hold up to weather and daily use, and they are backed by a Weather Guard Limited Lifetime Warranty. Always rate and secure your load properly when you use them.
