Description & Fitment
This is the 1290-52-01, a 58.8" steel cross member in matte black that adds a further load bar to the 1275-52-02, Weather Guard's full-size steel rack. It pins into place without drilling, slides to where your load needs support, and can be parked over the cab between jobs.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check your fit: you need a Weather Guard 1275-52-02 rack already on the truck. The bar fits that rack only, whatever the truck.
Not for: the 1175-52-02 heavy-duty or 1345-52-02 compact racks, other brands' racks, or use on its own. It is a single bar, not a rack.

No. Weather Guard lists this cross member for the 1275-52-02 rack only.
Does it change my rack's load rating?
Weather Guard does not state a separate rating for the bar. Treat the 1275-52-02 rack's 1,000 lb evenly distributed rating as the limit.
Does it fit other racks?
No. Weather Guard makes it for the 1275-52-02 rack alone. The heavy-duty 1175-52-02 and compact 1345-52-02 are not listed for it.
Do I need tools or drilling?
No drilling. It attaches with pins of the same type as the rack's rear cross member.
Where does it go when I'm not using it?
Store it on the rack above the cab, out of the way of your load.
Is there an install sheet?
Weather Guard does not print a separate sheet for this bar. It pins on the same way as the rear cross member described in the 1275-52-02 rack instructions.

Weather Guard backs this rack with its Limited Lifetime Warranty, issued by Werner Co.: the rack is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for its expected lifetime, counted from the day you buy it.- Only the original purchaser is covered, and coverage ends if the rack passes to a new owner.
- Every claim needs a copy of the original sales receipt, so keep your Prestige Truck order receipt with your records.
- Werner Co. picks the remedy: it repairs the faulty part or replaces the whole rack at no charge for parts or labor, or it may refund what you paid or issue a credit toward a new Weather Guard product.
- Not covered: normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, accident damage, repairs Werner Co. did not authorize, misuse, overloading, or a rack that was not mounted or used as Weather Guard's written instructions describe. Damage to what you carry on it or to the vehicle is excluded too.
- Where the law allows, Werner Co. accepts no liability for incidental, special, indirect or consequential damages, economic loss included. This is the only express warranty on Weather Guard products, and no dealer can change it.
- Report a problem promptly once you find it. To start a claim, contact us with your order number and photos of the issue, and we will take it up with Weather Guard for you.

Check the bar's powder coat and ends for shipping damage before you fit it to the rack. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
