- Bolt-in pockets: Adjustable steel tube pockets bolt into the side of the bed, so the rack sits right on your truck.

Description & Fitment
The 1450 WEEKENDER is Weather Guard's single-side steel ladder rack for pickups, built from 1.5" square 14-gauge tube in black ARMOR TUF powder coat and rated for 250 lb. It stands 52.5" tall and 58.5" long, adjusts from 19" to 36" wide, and weighs 56 lb, and its uprights lift out of bolted pockets so it is only on the truck when you need it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit my 2021 Ford Ranger?
No. Weather Guard excludes the 2019 and newer Ranger from this rack.
Will it fit a Ram 1500?
Yes. Weather Guard lists 1995 and newer Dodge pickups, and the Ram 1500 is on our fitment list.
Do I have to drill?
Yes. The socket brackets bolt to the bed floor with blind fasteners: drill 7/32" pilot holes and open them to 1/2". The rear bracket goes at the tailgate stop; the sheet gives a separate 45-degree stop step for some mid-size trucks, so follow the step that matches yours.
Can I take it off between jobs?
Yes. The uprights drop into the bolted sockets, so the rack comes off when you are not carrying a ladder.
Which side does it go on?
Either one. The supplied brackets suit both, so pick driver or curb based on how you load.
What comes with it?
Weather Guard's sheet includes a ladder stop, strap and rope cleats that you place where you want them, plus silicone for the joints.

Here's the short version. Follow Weather Guard's install sheet (below) for the exact positions and hardware.
- Square the front leg socket assembly to the bed, mark the socket hole over a floor rib and center punch the mounting bracket holes.
- Drill 7/32" pilots, open them to 1/2", set the blind fasteners, and bolt the bracket down with 5/16-18 x 1-1/4" bolts, lock and flat washers. Use the thread-cutting bolt to mark the tube, then drill it 7/32" then 1/2".
- Fit the rear leg socket bracket at the tailgate stop the same way (step 2B covers Tacoma, Colorado and Canyon with a 45-degree tailgate stop).
- Drop the uprights into the sockets, tighten the thread-cutting bolts, set the extensions and seal the joints with the silicone provided.
- Add the ladder stop, strap and rope cleats where you want them.

Weather Guard backs this rack with its Limited Lifetime Warranty, issued by Werner Co.: the rack is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for its expected lifetime, counted from the day you buy it.- Only the original purchaser is covered, and coverage ends if the rack passes to a new owner.
- Every claim needs a copy of the original sales receipt, so keep your Prestige Truck order receipt with your records.
- Werner Co. picks the remedy: it repairs the faulty part or replaces the whole rack at no charge for parts or labor, or it may refund what you paid or issue a credit toward a new Weather Guard product.
- Not covered: normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, accident damage, repairs Werner Co. did not authorize, misuse, overloading, or a rack that was not mounted or used as Weather Guard's written instructions describe. Damage to what you carry on it or to the vehicle is excluded too.
- Where the law allows, Werner Co. accepts no liability for incidental, special, indirect or consequential damages, economic loss included. This is the only express warranty on Weather Guard products, and no dealer can change it.
- Report a problem promptly once you find it. To start a claim, contact us with your order number and photos of the issue, and we will take it up with Weather Guard for you.

Inspect on delivery
Check the uprights, the leg socket brackets, blind fasteners, road bar and silicone are all in the carton before you mark the bed. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.

Great Ladder Racks
I've been using these ladder racks on my trucks for 15 years. Every other ladder rack I have tried didn't mount properly or was just weak. These ladder racks last!
