How is the LiteRider tarp different from the heavier Access covers?
It uses a double layer marine grade vinyl with a leather grain face and UV inhibitors worked into the material. The dearer models in the range use a thicker commercial vinyl and add a full perimeter gasket set, which is part of why they carry a longer warranty.
How does the cover open?
Drop the tailgate, release the slide latch at the rear and roll the vinyl forward to the cab. Buckle the strap around the roll and the bed is completely clear. Lowering the cover again latches it automatically, so closing up takes a few seconds.
Does water get in?
Hook and loop fasteners close the tarp against both rails and the vinyl is weather resistant, so normal rain runs off. This is a soft cover, not a sealed lid, so a driving storm or a car wash lance can still push some water past the edges.
Will it fit my bed if it has a rail system?
There are separate LiteRider part numbers for beds with a utility rail system, a deck rail system, a trail rail system, a factory tonneau track, a RamBox or a multifunction tailgate. Pick the matching option when you select your truck and the right kit comes through.
Can I install it alone?
Yes, most people manage it alone in well under an hour. The hardware is vehicle specific so nothing has to be drilled or trimmed, and the aluminum frame is light enough to lift into the bed and position without help.
What is the warranty term?
Three years, limited, against defects in material and workmanship. The maker repairs or replaces the affected part at its own option, and no labor allowance is included. Damage from an accident or from misuse sits outside those terms.
