Made for the 5'7" bed on the 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra, with the factory deck rail system and not the Trail Edition, this BAK Revolver X4ts fits that truck and bed. Trucks with the same bed without the factory deck rail system take Revolver X4ts 80409RK. On deck-rail Tundras, BAK's sheet fastens the rails into the deck-rail mounting holes with S clamps and refits the deck rails. Its side rails carry a T-slot for racks, cross bars and cargo holders (sold separately), and the cover itself is one-piece TriShield 70-grade vinyl over interlocking aluminum slats.

Will this fit my 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra?

Yes, if it has the 5'7" bed and it is with the factory deck rail system and not the Trail Edition. It fits the 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra. Measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the closed tailgate, check the fit notes above, and if you are unsure, send us your VIN and we will confirm.

Does it matter if my truck has deck or cargo rails?

Yes. BAK lists this part for trucks with the factory deck rail system and not the Trail Edition. For the same 5'7" bed without the factory deck rail system, BAK lists Revolver X4ts 80409RK.

Does it come with a rack?

No. The X4ts has T-slot side rails that racks, cargo holders, tents and cross bars connect to, but the rack and accessories are sold separately. Check the rack maker's load limits for your setup; the 400 lb figure is BAK's rating for the closed cover, spread evenly.

What is the difference between the X4ts and the X4s?

The X4ts is the X4s with integrated T-slot rails, so it is rack-ready. Both use TriShield 70-grade matte vinyl over patented aluminum slats, the same locking rails and slam latches, and BAK's 5-year warranty.

Will it keep rain and snow out of the bed?

It is built to: one-piece vinyl with no visible seams, flush side seals and a bulkhead seal. BAK calls it the most leakproof of all folding, roll-up and retractable covers, but its own install sheet notes the cover is not airtight, so plan on weather-resistant rather than sealed. Clear snow and ice off before you open it.

Can I drive with it rolled open?

Yes. Roll it fully to the cab and secure it with both straps. BAK says never to drive with the cover partly open, and keeping it secured is a warranty condition.

Here's the short version for a new cover on a Tundra with the factory deck rails, the setup BAK's sheet is written for. Follow the sheet (below) for exact positions.

  1. Seal the bulkhead. Clean it with soap and water, then isopropyl alcohol, let it dry and stick the seal flush with the front edge, snug between the bed rails.
  2. Fit the end caps. Put one end cap on the cab end of each new cover rail and tighten its set screw with the supplied 1/8" Allen wrench.
  3. Fasten the rails into the deck-rail holes. Slide the S clamps into the rail slot so they match the truck-bed hole locations and fasten the rail into those holes with the screws, pushed tight against the front cargo rail and clear of the tailgate.
  4. Refit the cargo rail. Mount the cargo rail and its strap clamp assembly through the lower hole of the S clamps and tighten to 7.5 Nm (6 ft-lb). Repeat on the driver side.
  5. Set the cover on the rails. Rest the rolled cover on the rails at the cab, roll it toward the tailgate and throw away the packaging. Fold the front panel back, drop the two mounting bolts on each side into the slotted brackets, then fit the rubber washer, large flat washer and lock knob underneath, loosely for now.
  6. Lock it in. Roll the cover open without knocking it out of line and tighten the knobs by hand only. Close it and check the locking levers hold it down on both sides. Square it first: front vinyl edge lined up and about 1/8" (3.2 mm) on each side so both slam latches meet the locking levers.

X4ts 2024 Tundra

I like the concept and the product design. I was disappointed that the cleats for the ts rails did not come included. Also there was alot of metal shavings in the bed rails. I found excess burrs and cutting oil in the rails. Also the cross section where the rails were cut had exposed aluminum. Would have wanted touch up pen or paint to keep consistent. Lastly the rubber flap by the bulk head corner is not seated. I tried to put weight on it over night to see if it will lay flat and stick to the adhesive under. Did not work. It is an expensive cover for the perceived quality experienced.

Overall Satisfied

It's a nice cover and having the t-slot built-in is what sold me. However, the fit and finish leaves a bit to be desired considering the high price tag. My cover had a series of cut marks on the underside of the cover in the metal support bars. While this doesn't affect the performance of the product it's a bit surprising to see this lack of quality control on product that touts made in USA superiority. I have seen this defect from other Tundra owners that have purchased this same cover. BAK did offer to send me a replacement cover, though. I was also sent the incorrect straps for securing the cover in the rolled-up position. Trying to resolve via email with BAK is useless endeavor as their response times are pretty terrible. However, calling their support line was effective in getting the correct parts to be sent. Unfortunately, they stated it could take at least 5 days to get the…

BAK revolver X4S

I got this model because of the T slot feature and liked the roll up instead of a canister taking up space in the bed. When rolled up it doesn’t block my rear window since the bottom of the window start about 8 inches above the bottom of the glass. I gave it 4 stars because the T slot is really close to the roll up cover which limits the type of rack I can install due to clearance. Also the plastic cover at the tailgate feels loose and fragile, it will probably be the first part to break. Other than that I really like the cover.

Best tonneau cover

I know that this is one of the more expensive tonneau covers but once you have bought it and installed it on your truck, you will be so glad that you spent that extra money. Not only does it look amazingly sleek but it keeps all your stuff inside your truckbed dry and safe. Knowing that I can leave whatever I like in my truckbed and park my truck anywhere and no-one is getting in there to steal anything unless they have powertools is worth every extra cent. Having the extra rails to mount extra tie down points and racks is also going to be handy in the future. By the way, I installed it all by myself in about 45 minutes in the carpark of the Ford Dealer when I bought my new truck.

Cheap parts bad service

I installed my new cover and the flimsy little plastic cover on the end is bad! It's hard to believe you pay this much for a bed cover and this part is made so cheap. And I also was missing the end caps for the rails. I sent 2 emails asking for replacement part and the end caps and I've had no response. It's a great cover it's so confusing why they would make this part so cheap. And I see many others who have complained about it but I guess they don't care!!!

Good but inferior cover material

This is my second Bak Rolling cover. I like most everything about it but I am finding the vinyl covering material inferior and susceptible to punctures. I think it is just road rocks bouncing off it and they leave little holes. My first one never had an issue and I had it for 5 years. This one I have only had a few months and I just found my second hole. My truck is garaged most of the time and I am very careful when setting anything on top. Also these hole are up in the middle and small round holes. I found a vinyl repair kit that seems to work pretty good, but very disappointed for the price of this tonneau that the material is so cheap. first phot is the new hole I found and the second is the repair. Holes are about 1/8 - 1/4" round.

New truck tonneau

We got this tonneau for our son and wife to put on their new F350. The quality is great and the look is great but when they received it there was a broken part and the 4 end caps were missing. They called the customer service and were able to get the issue resolved but it took awhile for the parts to come in. They looked at the reviews and saw that quite a few had complained about that part being broken so maybe some better packing for shipment would be beneficial.

Close to awesome

This tonneau is really well made and performs pretty good mostly. The directions are easy but the corners at the front and rear leave a lot to be desired as far as keeping water out. In all four corners you can see right into the bed and it lets a bunch of water in at those corners. Lastly, there are a few ripples at the drivers side weather strip that does not look great, but doesn't seem to be a water problem. Overall happy with the product, but wish the product was more water tight.

Great cover

Working great on my F-150. With the taller feet for my FrontRunner slimline bed rack, the cover can still roll all the way up without interference. Pretty good waterproofness for parking outside in Seattle - some water gets in at the tailgate but other than that it seems bone dry. No leaking from the sides or water running along the underside of the cover.

Solid Cover

Looks good. Fit and function are great. I like the security of a hard cover with the convenience of a rolling cover. One item to be aware of is that the rails which mount along the truck bed have a sharp corner at the end by the tailgate. The manufacturer could easily round the corner off without sacrificing any function or quality. If you purchase this cover you will want to dull or round off that corner so you or a kid doesn't get hurt on it.

Just as Advertised

Due to the Decked System I have in my bed, I was limited on what options I had for bed covers. Since they finally had one come out with t-slots, I pulled the trigger and could not be happier. This product was a breeze to install and very intuitive. The look is great and it keeps all the crap out of my truck bed. I am looking forward to getting the bed rack installed now and seeing it all done. The cover is great, a little clarification on the instructions were needed. The sharp edges of the most exposed corners by the tailgate need better deburring and radiusing. Needs a matching/better tailgate seal kit that works well for the tacoma. The end of the mechanism could use a cap to seal against, is hard to weatherstrip.

Solid Versatile Bedcover, with some quirks

First off, the shipping was lightning fast. Ordered on a Friday, was delivered on a Sunday. Install was pretty simple, minimal tools were needed which was nice. Aligning the bedcover was tricky, probably took me 6 times trying to tweak it and its still not perfect. The biggest issue I have had was the locking track doesn't line up perfectly with the cover- meaning I can never get both sides to lock up just right. The cover works, but doesn't fully click into place. Even after emailing with support, can't seem to figure it out. I do love how easy it rolls up and how little space it takes up. Just wish it was a little more secure.

Great cover! Unclear instructions though

The cover is fantastic. It looks great, feels sturdy, and works perfect with my TRUKD bed rack. The only thing that was a bit confusing were the instructions. Because I have a 3rd gen short bed tacoma, I needed to read the supplemental instructions first. There should be a note in the regular instructions at the beginning. Once I figured out the info I was missing, the installation went smooth.

Doesn’t fit 25 frontier

I like the design of the cover, unfortunately it doesn’t fit the 25 Nissan Frontier correctly. If you put the rails all the way against the front (the way it’s designed) you’ll have a large gap between the cover and the tailgate. If you move the rails back towards the tailgate, just to get it to line up even with the tailgate creates a gap/hole where the rail doesn’t cover the front of the bed.

This Revolver Rocks!

This bed cover is what I was looking for. I didn't want a hard folding cover, I also didn't want a soft cover. The Revolver is the best of both worlds. I put it on by myself, but a second set of hands would make it much easier. After install I let it sit in the sun and "relax". It is a great cover and hardly any water gets inside.

Overall happy with the look and function. . . however mounting clamps and bolts are cheap Chinesium crap. For a very expensive tonneau cover I would expect premium hardware. T he box it was shipped in was damaged causing a cracked corner plastic trim. Extra corner trim was included. Perhaps the corner trim should be made of aluminum??? Damaged box likely due to shipping companies. . . whom we should all hold accountable,

x4ts fitment issues

I purchased an X4TS cover for my 25 Maverick Tremor. The cover was too narrow. I called support and asked how they advised that I should shim out the sides to fit the cover and they said I should not do that and they would send a proper sized replacement. The only question they asked was the actual size of the cover. I gave them the measurement and they sent a replacement. I just got the replacement and it is slightly wider, but still too narrow and this one has a short section on the drivers side near the front that does not sit down right and even when I have this temporarily installed, I have to push down the top to allow the locking rail to latch. I have it temporarily shimmed out approx 1/8 inch to make it work. That seems to make the rail slightly less stable and probably not a good long term installation. It’s ok for my truck. Could be different on others.

First, the instructions that came in the box was for the previous generation of our truck so it completely confused us as the provided kit didn’t match what the instructions were telling us to use. The adaptor rail has 3 holes to install the t-nut kits, but the bed rail length only allows for two of the holes to be installed as the 3rd is passed the factory bed rail. Once we installed the cover, there were open gaps between the adaptor rails and the truck bed sides, so we needed to add more foam to reduce leaks. The metal at the end (tailgate end) of the driver cover side rail keeps touching and scratching the tailgate protector, so we kept having to readjust to prevent it. Overall installation took longer than expected because of these issues. We regret prematurely throwing away the boxes the kit came in, and we would return it if we could.

Easy install, Looks good Appreciate the ability to look out vehicle rear window when it's rolled up. Only leaks I've seen are at the rear at the bed door. Could use a little extra seal which I manufactured to ensure some contact and limit water intrusion.

Maverick Bak X4ts Hard Roll-up

I finally got my 2025 Ford Maverick in February 2025. The weather was not conducive to install it. Finally in April I installed it with help from a local garage due to the weight of the tonneau and my physical problems. The install was easy (with help). The directions were great. The question I have is: I have the sprayed in bed liner, I used the thicker gasket at the cab end, should I have used the thinner one as I get water in the bed?

Had the cover installed for about a month now. Very pleased with, however, I did need to readjust on of the left rails as it was a bit high at the cab, and low at the tailgate. The issue with being too low is that it was damaging the top of my tailgate. Tried readjusting, and it is slightly better, but very minimal clearance. Will continue to watch, but may need to be bent up a bit for best fit.

So far, so good!

I purchased this tonneau to replace a roll-up vinyl one that was showing its age, and I wanted something more secure. Opted for the t-slot rail version with plans to add a rack later and maybe some tie-downs. Given that it has only been installed for about a month now, it has served us well. We'll see how it holds up over the next few years. The package as delivered was missing minor parts, but this issue was quickly resolved by BAK.

BAK-Revolver-X4ts: Overall pleased, but a few nits

The first few steps of the written install instructions start out with several steps on how to de-install the cover without any real explanation as to why, and then tell you to skip to the step # to start the installation. This is confusing and should be reversed in the document IMHO. The install did go reasonably well. I am not pleased with the strap strategy of holding the cover in a rolled up position against the cab while carrying cargo. It is tough to tighten the straps to really secure the cover tightly. It is hard to pull on the strap(s) to tighten it. It is even harder to loosen the strap(s) to release the strap(s) and unroll the cover. I like the way the end of the strap with a T-bar head secures into the slot to hold the cover and the strap. But there really should be an easier way to tighten and moreover release the strap(s) from holding the cover. I also do not feel…

I am happy with the cover, the initial process and shipping. Gasket that prevents water seepage leaks. Process to correct has been long and frustrating. still don't have replacement. When I first called in about the leak I was advised to take a video of the leak.....once that requirement was dropped I was advised that the issue is common and the replacement is different than the original. Quality control

The seals don't lay down by the cab, which I guess I understand since it's been 30 degrees give or take since I got it. My real complaint is that one of the rails has a twisted locking mechanism. I've fiddle with the rails but no matter what I do on of the locking bars sticks out progressively farther from the rail closer to the tailgate. I can get it open ok, but it snags and is annoying.

Not so good

I’ve had this installed for a few days now and have some issues. The biggest issue being the cover itself has a defect, it has a spot from the manufacturer were it will not lay flat it is binded up. Was hoping it would lay flat after being installed for a few days but no improvements it looks like a permanent defect. The other smaller issue is no way water is staying out of this cover, gaps by the bulk head even with the seal installed and the tailgate area will leak in a heavier rain

Nice cover, some flaws

Installation was easy enough. There were some paint chips on multiple pieces of the railing and the fitment didn't fit quite right. All four corners you can see light coming through. That's what I'm most disappointed because I wanted something essentially water right.

My order was placed on 5/24. Today is 6/8 and I received an email to review a tonneau cover that still hasn’t left their warehouse. This is not a good look, and if it doesn’t ship with a tracking number by tomorrow, I’m just going to cancel.

Doesn't Fit Right

I was really excited for this product but unfortunately it has been a disappointment. On unboxing I was impressed with the design and quality of the cover but as I installed it I ran into issues. The cover shed little metal scraps everywhere as I installed causing concern that they will scratch the paint. The cover also doesn't fit right on the truck leaving a half inch gap along the tailgate. Bak support has been non-responsive when I reached out the issue. I can't recommend this product. At this price point I expect better.

Seems great, minus straps

Cover seems great, no real test on weather proofing but otherwise solid and as advertised. Problem: packaged with the cover I had the old style fast-stick buckle straps, not the new straps that go with the cover I received. Customer service in resolving that issue was lacking, to put it mildly. Email went unanswered, and follow up phone call was fielded by an off-shore call center that informed me that it would take at least 10 days to ship the correct straps (compared to the 3 calendar days it took form order to receiving cover). About 10 days later, I received an email stating my straps would ship no later than 28 June and that I would receive notification of shipment. As of 2 July, no notification and no straps.

Good Cover - Some Issues

Sharp, good-looking cover once installed. Functions great - as expected. However, I am giving three stars due to what I found out of the box. First, there were aluminum chips everywhere, embedded in the vinyl. It was a major pain to remove them all. Second, one of the screws on the latching mechanism was missing. You could tell it was never installed. Luckily I had a screw in my parts bin that worked. One of the rubber bumpers on the bottom side had fallen out, and could not be reinstalled due to the "crimp" that had been applied to keep it in place. Finally, the handle nuts used to mount the cover to the rails could not be tightened by hand. The plastic retainer for the locknut is very aggressive and requires a wrench to tighten. I would not expect these kinds of issues from a product with a price tag this high. Hopefully, Real-Truck will see this negative review and work to improve…

Good cover, the load bearing rating of 400lbs is a little misleading, I haven’t put anything near that weight on it but just pushing down on the cover while rolled out flat, doesn’t seem like it would hold anything over 100lbs without breaking

Cover could be improved

Cover showed up missing the end caps for the t slot rails. One of the plastic tonneau cover corner pieces was broken. Eventually the missing and broken parts were sent to me and even received parts I didn't request. The rails were about 3/16" different in length from each other which doesn't seem like a lot but is noticeable when one side of the cover is flush with the end of the rail and on the other side the rail extends past the cover. My experience with customer support was that everyone was very kind but always seemed like it was another department that dealt with certain items and the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Perhaps a company is that is growing faster than it can handle.
