F150 Lightning fits and looks great
Great price for a quality product. Easy to install. Shipping took way longer than expected. The final setup looks amazing.

BAK makes this BAKFlip MX4 for one bed: the 5'7" box on the 2004-2014 Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor (and the 2006-2008 Lincoln Mark LT), without the Cargo Management System (2008-2014 Ford F-150, 2010-2014 Ford F-150 Raptor). Re-engineered prop rod clips hold it upright against the cab, and rubber bumpers protect the cab paint. Its Gen 3 aluminum panels sit over a high-density polymer core, and BAK rates them 22% stronger than the original MX4. To open it, drop the tailgate, pull the release cable and fold the panels toward the cab. For the install, it clamps to the bed rails with no drilling; BAK rates it at 30 minutes or less. The warranty is BAK's 5-year limited coverage.

Check your bed: measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate. This part is for the 5'7" bed on the 2004-2014 Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor (and the 2006-2008 Lincoln Mark LT). BAK lists the bed by that label and publishes no inch figure for it. Fit notes from BAK: new body style (2004 Ford F-150); without the Cargo Management System (2008-2014 Ford F-150; 2010-2014 Ford F-150 Raptor).
Not for: the 6'7" bed (BAKFlip MX4 448307). 2015-2020 trucks with the same bed take BAKFlip MX4 448329.
BAK makes hard tonneau covers. BAK bills itself as "America's #1 truck bed cover."
The range splits into BAKFlip hard folding covers (MX4, MX4 EZ-Lift, MX4 TS, G2, F1 and Fibermax) and Revolver hard roll-ups (X2, X4s and X4 TS). The MX4 is the aluminum-panel BAKFlip that BAK calls America's best-selling truck bed cover; the MX4 TS adds T-slot rails and the MX4 EZ-Lift adds a lift-assist system.
Authorized BAK dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized BAK dealer, so what we sell is new and genuine BAK. BAK's warranty "is nontransferable and applies to the original purchaser of the BAK product only," and BAK requires warranty registration on file or proof of original purchase (a detailed, dated receipt) for warranty service. Your Prestige Truck order receipt is that proof.
Yes, if it has the 5'7" bed, without the Cargo Management System (2008-2014 Ford F-150, 2010-2014 Ford F-150 Raptor). Measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the closed tailgate, and note it is not for the 6'7" bed (BAKFlip MX4 448307). If you are unsure, send us your VIN and we will confirm.
This part covers the 2004-2014 Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor (and the 2006-2008 Lincoln Mark LT). 2015-2020 trucks with the same bed take BAKFlip MX4 448329. Go by your truck's model year, or send us your VIN.
BAK lists stronger panels (high-density polymer cores, 22% stronger than the original MX4), re-engineered lock parts that resist forced entry better than the Gen 2, revised EPDM perimeter seals and tight-fit clamps, a dual-action tailgate seal 13% longer than before, re-engineered prop rod clips, and a click-in design that it says cuts install time by 12%.
It is built to: edge-to-edge seals and tight-fit clamps close the gap to the bed rails, and drain tubes carry off water that reaches the rails. BAK's own install sheet says the cover is not airtight, so plan on weather-resistant rather than sealed. Clear snow and ice off before you open it; that is a warranty condition too.
BAK rates the closed cover at 400 lb, evenly distributed. BAK's sheet also says not to drive with objects on top of the cover or tie cargo to it.
Yes. Fold it toward the cab and attach the straps to the buckles at the bulkhead, pulled snug, and you can drive with the bed open. The cover must be secured at all points while the truck is moving; that is a condition of the warranty.
Here's the short version. Follow BAK's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact clamp positions and settings.

Great price for a quality product. Easy to install. Shipping took way longer than expected. The final setup looks amazing.
Great product. Easy to use. Its dry inside. (just had normal rain since install) Much better than factory Ford roll-up version. The online reviews really help me make a decision, and were true.
I've had soft tonneau covers before, and this is my first hard fold cover. It was very easy to install, and appears to be a very solid and stable cover. I would recommend this product.
Awesome cover, somewhat easy to install by yourself, looks great
First truck and first cover. Installed pretty quick with some basic tools, follow the instructions and you’ll be fine. We had intense storms two days after I installed it and the bed was bone dry. It folds up pretty easy and locks in place by each panel.
The fit was perfect and instalation easy to perform. The seal between the cover and bed kept most water out even during a trip through the car wash. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quality cover with a tight, neat fit.
I'm a repeat BAK customer, having owned a Gen 1 cover before upgrading to this Gen 3 model on my new F-150, and the difference is night and day. Build quality has taken a significant step up. The materials feel more refined and the panels sit flush and tight. The latching mechanism is the standout improvement. It feels far more secure than the Gen 1 system, with a solid, confident engagement every time I close it. That matters because the whole point of a tonneau cover is peace of mind, and this one delivers it. Incredibly easy to install, it took about 30 minutes tops. Weather protection has been excellent so far, keeping the bed dry and shielded from sun damage. Just as important, it adds a real layer of security against anyone trying to grab gear out of the bed. I no longer think twice about leaving tools or equipment back there overnight. If you owned an older BAK cover and are…
Great cover, easy to install and easy to flip.
Latch broke in less than a month How do I get support? I have pictures of the latch which pulled out of the cover
Realizing there are many styles of. covers available, the Backflip MX4 works wonderfully for our active lifestyle.
I have been wanting one of these for a while and I’m glad I went with this one. It’s built well and suits my needs perfectly. Seems to be pretty water tight for my F150
Install was easy and adjusting was easy . It looks great ! The fit was really nice and flush with the top of the bed . It opens and closes easily and the has very positive latching . It’s a welcome addition to my f150 and really finishes the look of my truck. I’ve gotten alot of compliments on how nice it looks .
So far so good , no leaks and an easy easy install. The one thing I have a problem with is, the rubber stops that are on the last panel . The ones that are approx. 3/8 x 3 did not stay in place . I may have to find another way to make them work correctly .
Our BakFlip Tonneau cover looks great and is easy to use. We have space to carry large items in the truck bed and don’t have to shovel snow out of the bed in winter
I had a BAKFlip on my 2015 F150 and liked it but it was wearing in a few places and was very difficult to open due to its weight. The BAKFlip that I just put on my new 2025 F150 is much lighter and appears to be modified where there some areas of wear on the old one. Very happy with the innovations.
I am very happy with the BAKFlip MX4 on my 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat. It took me a few hours to install and I needed help on one rail due to the fact that I have a bed liner (plastic, not spay in), which was causing me some grief. One I was able to get one secure clamp installed, the rest of the install I was able to get it done by myself (two hands are always better than one). I’m sure after installing this once, my next install will easily be 1/2 the time if not quicker.
This is the second Bakflip MX4 I've installed on my trucks. They are nice Tonneau covers. The install was pretty easy on my new F150. Looks great. The only ding I can say and it could have been me, The 3rd panel doesn't unlatch easily. I have to give it a tug to unhook, it's almost like the cable is too long to bring in the clips all the way. Anyway, Everyone that looks at my truck comments how cool my MX4 looks. Keeps the content secure in the bed. I hope to figure out the latch hangup. Overall, I'm pleased with the BAKflip MX4. I've had one on my 17 Tacoma and now on my 19 F150.
Fit perfect, the issue I have is when you are folding and keep open the cover, the air kick back the cover, it is not strong enough to hold, should be better quality for the price I pay, looks good but I was disappointed that did not function as needs to be.
I ordered the wrong size and they quickly resolved the problem with in 1 week!
My only negative comment would be the lack of printed installation instructions. It did come with a QR code for an installation video.
Hands down the best hard tonneau cover for the money. I recently purchased my second cover after buying a new truck. The first cover was still going strong after being on two trucks including surviving a collission that totalled my first truck.
This cover is on a new Ford F-150 lightning. It was incredibly easy to install for one person. It is also located in the Pacific NW and has shown to be more than adequate in keeping bed items dry in the rainy season.
Install went good except for clamp at the driver’s side at the tailgate. I had to use a plastic shim to level the rail enough for the automatic lock to engage. Directions leave a bit to be desired if you have never installed a cover. I would buy again provided this one lasts a long time.
Best purchase so far for my F150
Easy to instal looks good on the bed and a great product over all.
Took me about 1 hour to unpack and install. Had to get my wife to help put the bolts in the very front just because I could not hold backup and tighten with screw driver. Went on very easy and so far seems to keep all rain water out of bed.
I gave this a 4 because when I received product and installed it the back passenger side seal did not come all the back to the corner like it should have. This has to do with QA control. Bak should step that up for as much as we pay for their products. Which they do have great products.
Once I figured out how the clamp is supposed to snap into the rail, the installation went pretty good. However, there’s nothing in the instructions that tell you that the clamp literally locks into the rail and then you can tighten it down. So that made it difficult at first once I figured that out and get a second set of hands to hold it in place the install went pretty good. That said, the cover is very nice and fit my 22 F150 perfectly. I haven’t had it long enough to tell you if it’s leaking or if it stays dry.
Fairly easy install once I received instructions. They were omitted in the shipment.
The cover looks beautiful. Install was easy. But near the front of the bed on the right side water has a consistent drip during a med-high rain. If I was to know this leaked this much I would have bought a cheaper alternative. This review does not allow for media but I would post if I could.
I had a Bakflip on my old truck and after 9 years of flawless performance There was no need to review other manufacturers, The only thing I needed to do was pick the bakflip model I wanted for the new truck. I selected the MX4.
Installation was easy. Low profile looks great . Happy with the purchase!
Perfect fit and installation on my f150 lightning
Got a new F150. Had a Backflip on the old truck so I needed one. Ordered and it arrived in 4 days. Instructions were simple, tools needed limited and was easy to install. Wouldn't have any other cover.
The BakFlip MX4 was super easy to install, looks awesome and allows me to secure things in the bed without worry. 10 out of 10 would buy again.
Great cover and easy installation.
Very easy to install. Looks great. Keeps the bed clean of leaves. Easy to open and close. Still working on a leak in front area but overall very happy.
I have used the XTang tri fold cover for years and decided to try this one out on in my new F150. There’s a little more to the installation but it was fairly easy. Took me 30-40 minutes taking my time. I like that it sits flush and looks great. It seems to be well built and quality material. Only time and use will tell how it holds up but I think it’s a good cover.
Well made and it was easy to install. I like to low profile. Just watch the video for simple instructions. Took less than an hour with my brother as an extra pair of hands. I look forward to seeing how it holds up over time and repels/channel water.
Nice cover , I wish locking system was a little better.
Quality is good. Function operates as designed. cost is between high and lower end covers. comparable covers are slightly cheaper. Material quality so far are holding up to hot temps (95 degrees). The directions are OK, need to explain better the forward end over lap. Cover needs to be about . 50 inches longer. Foam seal could be better quality with rubber bulb seal. Pro-tailgate needs to have a better seal on the cover to keep out water.
I had an MX 2 installed on my 2017 Tacoma in January 2017. When I recently bought a 2023 Tacoma I wanted the BakFlip for it. The MX 2 is so much easier to install and it aligns with no issues. I had to keep adjusting the rails to improve the fit. The right side of the cover did not close all the way; there was a 1/4 inch gap. Part of the problem was the rubber seal improperly installed at the factory. I managed to peel it back and adjust it as it should have been.
I’ve had the BAKFlip MX4 (Gen 3) on my truck for a couple months now. Overall, I am very happy with the cover. - It looks great - It is very low profile (one of my definite requirements) - It is almost completely waterproof, I am confident that I could put suitcases, etc. in the bed and drive through rain without having wet clothes, gear, etc. - Installation was quick and simple for one person. I am not happy with the cheap plastic fittings (corner pieces, partially open hold down straps). They are so brittle that both corners were broken when the cover arrived at my house, and one of the hold down clips was completely destroyed. To the credit of BAK, they immediately shipped replacement parts. Unfortunately, I’ve had the corners break since installation. These are particularly troublesome, as they are held onto the cover by a single small screw and a tiny tab. The tab breaks! For the…
I ordered BAKflip MX4 and noticed a small puncture in the underside of the main cover. Living in the PNW with moisture wasn’t sure about the moisture and the integrity of the internal part of cover. I sent in pics and a new system was sent to me. Hope the other one made it back with the duct tape box!
Came with a broken part, and I do now know how to make a claim to it fixed or replaced.
I now have owned 4 of these. Some of the plastic parts at the edges wear prematurely. That being said, the company stands behind their product. When I have inquired, they have made things right. This was the primary driver behind buying this latest one.
This tonneau cover is very nice, and makes my truck bed more usable. The install was pretty easy, and it keeps rain and debris out of the bed when closed. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the way it latches. It takes a little coaxing to get the latches to engage. The corner piece on the rear drivers side looks like it is up a little bit as well. I am worried it will come off if I take the truck through the car wash. All in all I love the way it makes my truck look, and it is very functional.
Excellent product. Easy install. My boyfriend loves it.
It was very easy to install and so far I’m very happy with it
Everything was great, but the box was beat up a little. Upon opening the box, there was a small dent on the inner portion of the cover. Not big enough to return, just big enough to notice.
I’ve been wanting the BakFlip MX4 for my 17 F150 for a while and I finally broke down and bought one. It’s everything I thought it’d be. It’s has great quality, durable and can easily be installed within a couple hours by yourself, but an extra set of hands doesn’t hurt.
It installed easily, look great, and functions good.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.
First, watched the online video instructions for my year mode and make prior to starting. Small item, but 1/8" shims shown in the video were not included with my purchase. Second, both rubber bumpers that support the cover when in the folded position became unattached after 6 weeks without ever having the cover in the folded position. Third, both struts that are used to lock the cover in the folded open position are constantly vibrated from their holders and then hang down getting entangled in what ever cargo is being carried. Just a matter of time before they are broken off.
Instructions could be better
This is my third truck to install bak flip tri fold hard cover. Each one was improved and better than the last. My only issue was a wrong part was packed with mine so I had to call customer service to ship out the correct part. I think I have had this issue on the last two covers. Issue was always resolved in a professional and professional way but it is just an added cost to you and an extra step for the customer. You dont expect this from this price point.
I have purchased the BAKFlip MX-4 for 2 prior pickups and have been very pleased with the appearance, fit, materials, and workmanship. Thank you.
Replaced a soft cover with this. So far its been great. Gear is secure. Easy install.
First box came without hardware. Second box came with everything but was not straight with one side being longer than the other. They kept asking me for pictures and measurements till I had enough and sent it back for a full refund. Will never buy anything from them again. The funny thing is ,this is the second time they asked me to do a review on their junk.
I bought the same model BAKFlip cover in 2015 for my Ford F-250. I was very satisfied with the performance of that product over the last 6+ years. So, when I recently purchased a F150 and wanted the same model cover. I ordered the MX4 from BAKFlip. The service was excellent and my order was received in less than 5 days. The installation was very easy, taking me about an hour. The BAKFlip MX4 had several design changes/upgrades from the one I previously owned and the MX4 was superior to my previously owned cover that had easily met my expectations. I enthusiastically endorse this BAKFlip product!
Got the cover quickly. Install was pretty easy but I did read and watch videos before install. My 11 year old grandson, he did most of the work inside the truck bed, and my son assisted. So you know it was a straight forward install. Love the topper.
The Ford Maverick factory options are fine but the BAKFlip is heavier duty. The installation was easy and took an hour but I have installed one on my F350 previously. It may take a little longer for someone with no experience installing a bed cover. Instruction are easy to follow. The BAKFlip is popular so there are excellent videos of step by step instruction online. An advantage of the BAKFlip is it is more secure than a regular cover. It’s going to be hard for someone to break into my bed and steal anything.
Love the new design. Light weight and excellent quality and design. Easy to install with minimal tool required and the looks are amazing. Super sleek.
Tonneau cover looks great and was very easy to install. It’s very easy to fold open and gives full access to the whole bed.
Great cover!! safe and secure. I'm trying to work out a gap in the front of the bed to seal completely but other than that it is perfect!!
The first backflip we received had a divet in the panel. They sent us a new panel that had the corner cover damaged and the screw pulled out. It was for a Long bed truck and it didn’t come with full length solid rails we had to add the extra 2’ which wasn’t easy and was annoying. Since we have been using it for over a month, 4-5 of the protective foam pieces have come loose and fallen off and we have tried to put some back on but they keep falling off. Overall this seems like a very low quality truck bed cover with components that can’t hold up to hardly any use or the outdoor elements. Very disappointed in this product.
This BAKFlip is the best cover Ive had on any of my trucks by far. Easily installed and gives the truck a nice clean look. Dont hesitate buy one today!
I’m very pleased with the fit, finish and ease of installation. A couple of pieces were damaged in shipping and customer service replaced them quickly. The only improvement that I can suggest is a heavier duty box to ship it in.
Very easy install. Fits great and looks good also.
Great tonneau cover for the money.
Quality product. Fits well and easy to install.
Was initially impressed with the bed cover. Appearance is great, installation was easy. But after a rain, water pools in the middle of the cover and begins to leak in the middle of the bed. Ive had numerous bed covers (roll up/soft trifold/hard trifold) and they all leak and I understand that it is unavoidable. However, other bed covers have leaked towards the cab or at the tailgate. This one leaks right in the middle of the bed. For the price I cannot and would not recommend this cover to friends/family.
Easy installation and very versatile tri-folding Tonneau Cover. Removes easily. Aesthetically appealing. Highly recommend.
the cover added nice look to my chevy truck
Excellent customer service and easy on line ordering. Packaged well and received with no damage. Easy install. Very pleased with look.
Easy install. Great quality
In 2015, I bought my first BakFlip and transferred it to my second Ram 1500. Here in 2026, I bought my third Ram and decided to get the new BakFlip design and am glad I did. Very easy to install and it took me less than 30 minutes. I love the finished look - like it's from the Ram factory. I like that the folded panels are really secured in place when driving and won't get whipped in the wind plus it leaves room for maximum cargo space. The upgraded cable system for latching and unlatching is another big plus. They really designed a great product and I recommend it over all the others out there. . . well worth the money!
I like the cover especially because it's a hard top. There still is leakage and some parts, like the seal, seem to be fragile. Mines popped off. I have to move it a little to make it lock. If I have to use my whole truck bed, it covers my whole back window. I do like the steak flush look. I like that it easily opens with the pull down. I also like the fact you can close it with the truck bed door open or closed. Overall I like it, but for the price, definitely wish there were some things that were better.
Only took me an hour to install. Great looking.
Love it, easy install, great cover!
While the cover looks good the quality of parts were defective. I had to call for replacement and repair parts twice. The cable to release the lip broke due to poor workmanship. I had to replace the latch myself after only 2 weeks. This is way overpriced for having to fix it myself.
My wife had one of these on her 2010 nissan titan and it was perfect in every way. So when we bought a newer truck (2015 ram 2500) we wanted to get the same cover. Tonneau was shipped quickly, was packed well and had easy instructions. The fitment is perfect and the overall utility is great. I espec6like how it acts as a headache rack when fully up and out of the way. I've had this item for a year now and have had it opened and closed around 30-40 times. The wire for the section closest to the tailgate broke. Inside the latches the wire is looped and crimped on and it slid out of the crimps. So I had to buy new cable and fix it. Works like a charm now. I will say the other stock cables work well and have not broken. Other issue is the clips that hold the seal into the side of the tonneau keep popping out. They pop back in easily but it's definitely annoying and causes the seal to…
I have this cover on a 2021 F250. I work in the construction industry and need to open it often. The corner pieces have fallen off and the coating doesn't hold up to medium use. The seal leak in various places. If this is something you rely on, I would consider other brands.
I love the low profile look of the cover but it leaks in the corners by the cab. I even purchased some silicone putty to fill in the gaps between the bed and the cover, but it still leaks.
I am happy with the product. It works well. My goal was to purchase a more heavy-duty cover, but currently it is not made for the 2026 GMC Sierra AT4 EV. If that ever changes please contact me as I most likely will be interested.
Second fold from rear window needs a latch set. The joint raises and lowers after your speed reaches 70 mph and above. This can lead to water leaks at the joint. Contacted company, but would not fix problem or refund money. They said this is normal function of the cover. This problem is caused by the design of the aerodynamics of the truck with the Cab Air Deflectors. This is different from all other Chevy Trucks.
For the price I paid, I wouldnt buy this cover again. The biggest issue is with the long-bed rails. They come in two pieces, but only include three mounting clips. Because of this, its very difficult to get the rails properly aligned during installation, and they never seem to line up quite right. The adhesive rubber bumpers have already started coming loose after being exposed to warm weather. Lastly, the cover gets extremely hot in direct sunlight. It becomes uncomfortable to touch and makes it painful to open when needed. Overall, Im disappointed. For what this cover costs, I expected better quality and a better-designed product. Now that its installed, I feel stuck with something Im not satisfied with.
The cover went on well but once I installed it, I noticed the clip that holds the strap for locking into place in the folded position, was broken off. I found the broken piece in the packing material. The only real fix would be to send the whole cover back and I needed it for my truck. I guess I should have looked it over more closely when I removed it from the packing.
With the longer bed this cover doesn’t allow you to transport with just one fold. Any suggestions. Also, any suggestions on making it less water resistant?
It's good, but not 100%. The corners on the front have an opening where water can get in, and it's a bit hard to open.
This tonneau cover was even nicer looking than I thought it would be. Super streamlined and matches my Rhino Lining bedliner somehow. The only complaint is that I installed it three weeks ago and the adhesive foam strips are peeling up already. The truck is garage stored and it’s summer so it hasn’t been in the elements yet.
This is the least weather proof cover Ive ever owned, on top of that it rattles on any pot hole or bump. The only thing this cover has going for it is the appearance.
The clamps don't seat well against the metal behind the cap rail plastic. So, they can't hold straight when closing the cover. I contacted support and they said to send a picture and over a week later I've gotten nothing back after additional email. Pretty disappointed that something so simple couldn't be resolved quickly. I have put backing material in place until they figure it out so I can at least use it. The tailgate seal was also not seated correctly so I had to take it off and reseat it. For such an expensive product they really aren't doing the small parts well.
Love everything about the cover except that it’s too short. It barely covers the edge of the bed at the front and just touches the tailgate. Seems about two to three inches shorter than it should be so it doesn’t keep the water out at the tailgate and it’s not very secure for theft.
The foam was glued together and bed cover looks worn and half of the parts are missing . Took it to a place for an install and they told me this is definitely a used item. Wasted a whole day!
very difficult to get to fit. RETURNED. Thank you for no hassle.
Product is flimsy. You can see light escaping through the cracks from the outside. Plenty of water gets inside. Side trims are always falling off rail. Always looks dirty or faded. Side stands don’t hold up box correctly.
I am very unhappy with the fit. It does not allow the tail gate of my 2026 Nissan frontier to properly close. I have to position it further forward on the bed to make it work. I would not recommend this cover or the company.
Damaged bed cover and no help from customer servic
I like the appearance and a parent quality of the product, but it would not work on a 25 Nissan frontier the rear latches would not come down enough to latch so I had to return it. customer Service was very helpful and I had no issues so far still waiting on my refund.
It looks unfinished. The rubber molding on the sides creased up were it folds. I gave it some time n the heat to see if it would flatten and it didn’t. The corners by the cab looked unfinished. The installation of the rails was horrible, yes I did it right, and it still didn’t close and lock wo slamming it or lifting on the side rails get it to lock. For the amount of money it cost I expect much better. So I returned mine and went with another brand from another company. And am very happy now. No rubber flap edges. Easy install and locks every time. Yes: the return process was fast and easy, but I’m rating the product.
I’m very disappointed with this product. It leaks at both the front and rear, which defeats the whole purpose of having a bed cover/top in the first place. The instructions were also a major issue. I have a Ram with the RamBox bed, but the instructions provided were for a Chevy 1500. The installation is not the same, and it made the process much more frustrating than it needed to be. Had I known the product would not seal properly and that the correct truck-specific instructions would not be included, I would have chosen a different top. At this point, I honestly wish I could return it.
After making several adjustments to maintain the cover from dismantling, I reached out to customer service but have yet to receive a call.
If you want a cover that does not leak look somewhere else. It has been installed correctly and it's still does not prevent water from entering the bed. . after a good rain the bed as water in it do not keep anything that is valuable in your bed.
First of all, I don’t like to bring bad news, that being said, here it goes. Last year 2022 in may, I received my first MX4, it looked great! I had little trouble with installing it, about 30 mins I’d say. My issue is with the overall durability or thickness the bad cover aluminum, it dents so easily. One hailstorm and it looked like a golf ball. Ugh, that was just having it for a few months. The company was receptive to my concern, and sent me a “fiberglass” one to hopefully correct the issue. The next light hailstorm and it was another golf ball. I’m not sure if they sent me another aluminum one by mistake, or their fiberglass dents vs. cracks? It’s just a lot of money to ruin the look of your otherwise tough looking truck. Sorry Bakflip, you even tried to make it right by sending me another one, and still failed. Makes me feel a little sick.
Looks good, I like that it folds all the way for full bed access. One of the bumpers for when it is fully open blew off. Still leaks water inside. Could probably use to be made a little longer for more coverage over the tail gate. I was expecting better for the money I paid for this thing. I have a cheaper one on a different truck that leaks about the same. I going to try some extra gasket in places and hope for the best.
