Is 5 ft long enough for my bed?

It reaches items up to about 8 ft away from the tailgate, which covers short and standard beds. On an 8 ft long bed you may need to lean in a little for items right at the front.

Will it work with my tonneau cover?

Yes. That is what it is made for: open the tailgate, slide it under the cover and hook what you need.

Where do I store it?

Most owners keep it behind the rear seat or along the side of the bed.
