Features
- Two Drop Steps Per Side: The D2 hangs a welded hoop below each door, so the pad you step on sits lower than the bar itself. That shortens the first climb into a lifted truck or SUV, while the bar between the hoops keeps the clean look of an oval side step.
- Perforated Drop Step Pads: Each hoop holds a 4" wide galvanized steel pad with a hex-stamped, punched tread that drains water and mud and keeps grip under a wet boot. The pads unbolt, so you can paint them to match or contrast; paint is not included.
- Slide-In Channel Mount: A Dominator Xtreme mount kit made for your vehicle comes in the box. Nut-plates slide into the channel on the back of the bar and bolt to brackets that use the factory holes in the rocker panel. Go Rhino calls it a no-drill bolt-on; a few kits, such as the older Ram Crew Cab and the JK Wrangler, can need holes drilled or opened.
- One-Piece Steel Main Bar: The main bar is a single piece of shaped steel channel, finished at each end with an angled cap. The material is mild steel. It mounts to the rocker panel, so treat it as a step that also shields the paint, not as a rock slider.
- Zinc Plated, Textured Black: Go Rhino zinc plates the steel before it gets a textured black powder coat, two layers aimed at long-term corrosion resistance. Textured black is the only finish offered for the D2.
- Lifetime Structure, 5-Year Finish: Go Rhino covers the structure against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product when installed per its instructions, and the finish for 5 years if it red-rusts, peels, flakes or cracks, for the original owner.
Description & Fitment
Built for the 2019-2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, the 2020-2027 Silverado and Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD Crew Cab, and the 2022 Silverado 1500 LTD and Sierra 1500 Limited. A hoop drops below each door, so the first step up is shorter, and the pads lift out if you want them painted. Textured black powder coat is the one finish.

Check your cab: The Crew Cab has four full-size doors, the Double Cab has shorter rear doors. The 2007-2019 trucks are the previous body.

Will this fit my Silverado or Sierra?
Yes, if your year and cab appear in the fit table. If yours is a different cab or body, look at the 2007-2019 Silverado / Sierra Crew Cab (previous body) (D224052T). Not sure? Send us your VIN and we will confirm.
Do I need to drill or remove anything?
Go Rhino's install sheet for this kit has no drilling step; the brackets use existing holes in the body.
What is a drop step?
A hoop welded to the bar that hangs below it under each door. The pad sits in the hoop, lower than a regular side step, which makes the first step into a tall truck or SUV easier.
Do I need to drill?
Go Rhino says the D2 bolts to factory holes in the rocker panel. Some kits differ: the older Ram Crew Cab sheet may call for two 1/4" holes, some JK Wranglers need pinch-mold holes opened to 5/16", and Bronco and Wrangler kits need factory rock rails removed. Each vehicle page says which applies.
Can I paint the step pads?
Yes. Go Rhino describes the galvanized pads as removable and paintable, so they can match your paint or stand out. Paint is not included, and the warranty text does not address painted pads, so ask us first if that matters to you.
How do I keep the finish looking new?
Wash with car wash soap, rinse and dry, and wash more often where roads are salted. Use only a non-abrasive wax such as pure carnauba, skip rubbing compounds and harsh bug or tar removers, and recheck the bolts every six months, as Go Rhino's guide asks.
Installation
Here's the short version. Follow Go Rhino's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact positions and hardware.
- Start on the passenger side at the front: pull the plastic plugs off the first set of threaded holes in the body panel. Holding a bracket up in place helps find the right holes.
- Bolt a bracket to the body panel with (2) M8 x 25mm hex bolts, (2) 5/16" lock washers and (2) 5/16" flat washers. Leave them loose.
- Fit the center and rear brackets the same way; counting from the front they use the 3rd and 5th sets of threaded holes.
- Slide three of the 3/8" nut-plates through the rectangular opening in the back of the step and space each one so it lines up with a bracket already on the truck.
- Bolt the board to each bracket with (2) 3/8" x 1-1/4" hex bolts, (2) 3/8" lock washers and (2) 3/8" flat washers into one nut-plate. Then tighten the bracket-to-body bolts and the step-to-bracket bolts.
- Repeat on the driver side.

Go Rhino backs the Dominator Xtreme D2 with a Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty and a Limited 5-Year Finish Warranty.- Structure: covers defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product itself (not the life of the owner or the truck), as long as it was installed following Go Rhino's instructions.
- Finish: covers the original owner for 5 years from purchase if the finish shows red rust, peels, flakes or cracks, on a correctly installed product. The printed install sheet notes that exposed welds are excluded.
- Go Rhino judges whether a part failed from a defect or simply wore out, then repairs or replaces it at its discretion.
- Shipping: approved structural claims generally ship both ways at Go Rhino's cost; finish claims ship at the owner's cost. Go Rhino is not responsible for packages lost in transit.
- Keep your proof of purchase. Go Rhino may ask for it and for photos, and every warranty return needs an RGA number.
- Care that keeps the finish covered: car wash soap, a good rinse and a dry-off; more frequent washing in road-salt season; only non-abrasive wax such as pure carnauba; no rubbing compounds or harsh bug and tar removers. Retighten the bolts every six months.
