The N-Fab Predator Pro is an extruded aluminum hoop step: a one-piece welded bar rides high against the body and drops a 4" step with raised slots at each door, finished in textured black powder coat. On the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 crew cab, the Predator Pro drops a 4" raised-slot step at each door from a bar that sits high and tight to the body. This listing is N-Fab part number PRD1977CC, finished in textured black.
What's Included:
2x Predator Pro step bars (driver and passenger side)
Vehicle-specific mounting hardware kit
Features
Extruded Aluminum Build The bar is 100% extruded aluminum, which does not form red rust the way steel does.
A Step, Not a Slider Predator Pro is designed for stepping in and out and for fending off road debris. It is not built to carry the vehicle's weight on rocks; N-Fab builds the RKR Rails and TrailSlider for that job.
4" Raised-Slot Step Each 4" step carries raised slots that give a sole something to grip in rain, mud and snow.
Patented Hoop Step The N-Fab hoop step shape drops the stepping surface below the main bar, lowering the first move in on stock and lifted builds.
One-Piece Welded Design The step is fully welded as one piece, and the main bar rides close along the body for a clean profile.
Textured Black Powder Coat A textured black powder coat adds a matte look and a second layer of protection, backed by a 5-year finish warranty.
Mostly Bolt-On Most applications bolt to factory mounting points with the supplied hardware; where a vehicle needs a hole drilled, the Installation tab of that listing says so and names the step.
Fitment & Compatibility
Fit guidance: Fits the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 crew cab. Not for the Ram 1500 Classic (previous body, sold 2019-2024). Match your cab before ordering: each bar is built for one body style.
Specifications
Series: N-Fab Predator Pro
Step material: Extruded aluminum
Step width: 4"
Step type: Hoop step (patented)
Step surface: Raised slots
Construction: One-piece, fully welded
Mounting: Rocker panel
Intended use: Step and rocker guard; not a rock slider
Type: Bolt-on (a few applications require drilling) · Tools: Common hand tools: sockets, wrenches and a ratchet, plus a torque wrench where the guide lists a torque value · Difficulty: Moderate DIY
Most applications bolt to factory mounting points with the supplied hardware; where a vehicle needs a hole drilled, the Installation tab of that listing says so and names the step. Depending on the application, not every piece of supplied hardware is used, so follow your guide rather than the parts count. Start the fasteners by hand, set each bar parallel to the rocker, then tighten to the listed values. Recheck every fastener after the first few weeks of driving and again at routine service, because a bar that is never rechecked can settle.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns
Warranty. N-Fab covers the structure for life against failures in materials and workmanship, including the welds, the brackets and the material of the bar itself. The powder-coat finish carries a 5-year limited finish warranty. Both terms belong to the original purchaser and apply on the vehicle the bars were first installed on.
Free shipping. This part ships by ground carrier as an oversize parcel, in a long carton rather than on a pallet.
Inspect on delivery. A long carton takes knocks in transit, so look it over while the driver is there and note any crushed ends or punctures on the delivery record. Unpack it the same day and check the parts list: a bent bracket or a short hardware bag reported in the first days is a quick replacement.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. N-Fab charges a 20% restocking fee on any product returned without a defect, and an N-Fab representative has to confirm a defect in fit, form or function before a return is authorized, so please contact us before shipping a part back. An item sent back without that authorization is refused and returned at the buyer's expense. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About N-Fab
N-Fab designs and fabricates tubular accessories for trucks and SUVs: nerf steps, running boards, rock rails and sliders, pre-runner bumpers and light mounts, most of them cut and bracketed for one specific vehicle. Every N-Fab product is warranted for life against defects in its materials and workmanship, and powder-coated finishes carry a 5-year limited finish warranty, both extended to the original purchaser on the vehicle the part was first installed on.
Predator Pro is the aluminum hoop step in the N-Fab lineup, next to the mild-steel Nerf Step, Nerf Step RS and EpYx and the stainless Podium. It is a step, not a slider: for rock protection that takes the vehicle's weight, N-Fab builds the RKR Rails and the frame-mounted TrailSlider. The Growler Fleet running boards use aluminum too, in a wide running-board format.
Most of the N-Fab range is formed and welded tube: mild steel across the Nerf Step, EpYx, Roan and RKR lines, stainless steel in the Podium series, and extruded aluminum in Predator Pro and the Growler steps. Steel and aluminum parts are finished in gloss or textured black powder coat, and many bars are welded as one piece so there are fewer joints along the length to work loose.

Extruded aluminum, powder coated
Predator Pro is built from extruded aluminum, which does not rust the way a steel bar can after a few salted winters. A textured black powder coat adds a matte look and a second layer of protection, and N-Fab backs that finish for 5 years.
Built as an everyday step
Predator Pro is designed for daily climbing in and out and for keeping road grit off the rockers, with the main bar riding close along the body. It is a step rather than a rock slider, so treat it as one on the trail.

Grip on the raised slots
Each 4" step carries raised slots that give a sole something to hold in rain, mud and snow, so the first step in feels planted. The hoop shape keeps that step below the main bar, where a foot naturally lands when the door opens.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Is aluminum strong enough to use as a rock slider?
Predator Pro is not a slider, and it should not be used as one. It is a step and a guard against road debris, not a bar built to carry the vehicle's weight when you drop onto a rock. If you need true slider protection, N-Fab builds the RKR Rails and the frame-mounted TrailSlider for that job.
Will aluminum corrode?
Aluminum does not form the red rust that eats steel, which is its main advantage on salted roads, and the textured black powder coat over it carries a 5-year finish warranty. Aluminum can still develop white surface corrosion where the coating is chipped and salt sits on it, so rinse the bars through winter. We will not tell you any finish is immune to corrosion.
Do I have to drill into my truck to install these?
Most applications bolt to factory mounting points with the supplied hardware and need no drilling. A few vehicles do need holes drilled, and where that applies, the Installation tab of that listing says so and names the step. Check it before you order if drilling is a deal-breaker.
Is there a weight rating for these steps?
N-Fab does not publish a load rating for Predator Pro, so we do not quote one. It is built as a one-piece welded aluminum step for climbing in and out, and it should be treated as a step rather than a jacking or sliding point.
How long does the install take and what tools do I need?
It is a driveway job with sockets, wrenches and a ratchet, plus a torque wrench where your guide lists a value, and a drill on the applications whose guide calls for one. Snug everything by hand, set each bar parallel to the rocker before final tightening, and recheck the fasteners after the first few weeks of driving.
Do they come as a pair, and is the hardware included?
Yes. Each order is a driver-side and a passenger-side step with the mounting hardware for your application. The hardware is matched to one body style and cab, so a kit for one configuration will not fit another.
