The Roan is a cab-length steel running board: a tubular steel frame carrying a 5.5" wide, stitch-welded 12-gauge step plate with removable raised-louver tread plates, on an adjustable rocker-panel bracket system. Rather than a tube, the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 crew cab gets a step made from steel plate, stitch-welded to the frame so it stays flat. This listing is N-Fab part number NBD19CC, finished in textured black.
What's Included:
2x Roan running boards (driver and passenger side)
Removable louvered tread plates
Vehicle-specific rocker panel brackets
Mounting hardware kit
Features
475 lb Weight Capacity N-Fab rates the Roan at a 475 lb weight capacity. The strength comes from a tubular steel frame under a plate-steel step rather than a single bent tube.
A 5.5" Steel Plate Step The step is 12-gauge steel plate, 5.5" wide, stitch-welded to the frame. Stitch welding joins the plate in short runs, which adds strength while keeping heat distortion out of the flat surface.
Raised Louver Tread The top of the step carries raised louvers that give a boot an edge to grip in wet or muddy conditions.
Removable Tread Plates The tread plates bolt on rather than being welded, so they can come off to be refinished or colored to suit your build.
Adjustable Mounting System The brackets allow the board to be positioned during install, so you can set it where it suits your vehicle and your stride before tightening everything down.
Bolt-On, No Drilling The vehicle-specific brackets line up with existing holes in the rocker panel, and every Roan application installs with the supplied hardware and no drilling.
Textured Black Powder Coat The steel is sealed in a textured black powder coat that resists scratches, chips, oil and chemicals. N-Fab warrants the finish for five years.
Fitment & Compatibility
Fit guidance: Fits the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 crew cab. Not for the Ram 1500 Classic (previous body, sold 2019-2024). Match your cab before ordering: each bar is built for one body style.
Type: Bolt-on, no drilling · Tools: Hand tools (socket set, ratchet and a torque wrench) · Difficulty: DIY-friendly; a helper makes lifting the boards easier
The vehicle-specific brackets bolt to existing holes in the rocker panel, then the boards are set on the brackets and positioned before the hardware is brought up to torque. Take the time to get both sides level and even before the final tightening, and check the bolts again after the first few hundred miles. The installation guide for this application uses the factory mounting points and does not call for drilling. The guide specifies fastener torque of 17-20 ft-lb.
Warranty. N-Fab warrants the Roan running boards for life against defects in materials and workmanship, covering the frame, the step plates, the brackets and the welds, and warrants the powder-coat finish for five years. Both terms belong to the original purchaser, on the vehicle the product was first installed on, and they do not transfer if the vehicle is sold.
Free shipping. This part ships by ground carrier as an oversize parcel, in a long carton rather than on a pallet.
Inspect on delivery. A long carton takes knocks in transit, so look it over while the driver is there and note any crushed ends or punctures on the delivery record. Unpack it the same day and check the parts list: a bent bracket or a short hardware bag reported in the first days is a quick replacement.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. N-Fab charges a 20% restocking fee on any product returned without a defect, and an N-Fab representative has to confirm a defect in fit, form or function before a return is authorized, so please contact us before shipping a part back. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About N-Fab
N-Fab designs and fabricates steps, running boards, rock rails and pre-runner bumpers for trucks, SUVs and vans, along with sports bars, racks and lighting mounts. Every N-Fab product carries a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship plus a five-year warranty on the powder-coat finish, both held by the original purchaser on the vehicle the part was first installed on.
The Roan is N-Fab's steel running board, and it sits between the tube steps and the aluminum boards in the lineup. Against the Podium, Nerf Step and EpYx hoop steps it trades a round tube for a flat plate step; against the aluminum Growler Fleet it trades a lighter board for a steel frame with a published 475 lb capacity.
Most N-Fab parts start as steel tube that is bent, fully welded into a single assembly and finished in a multi-stage powder coat. Brackets and hardware are specific to each vehicle, so a part is engineered around one body's mounting points rather than adapted from a generic bracket.

Steel plate where your foot lands
The Roan's step is a 5.5" wide plate of 12-gauge steel, stitch-welded onto a tubular steel frame, and N-Fab rates the result at 475 lb. That gives a flat, stable surface under the whole boot, with raised louvers on top so the grip holds when it is wet.

Tread plates that come off
The Roan's raised-louver tread plates bolt on rather than being welded in place. Take them off to refinish or color them to suit your build, separately from the steel frame that stays on the vehicle.
Set the board where you want it
An adjustable mounting system lets you position the Roan during install instead of accepting wherever a fixed bracket happens to put it. The brackets use existing holes in the rocker panel, so the job is a bolt-on with nothing drilled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Do I have to drill into my truck to install these?
No. The Roan brackets line up with existing holes in the rocker panel, and every Roan application installs with the supplied hardware without cutting or drilling.
How much weight can the Roan hold?
N-Fab rates the Roan at a 475 lb weight capacity. It is built from a tubular steel frame with a 12-gauge steel plate step, which is where that rating comes from.
Will the powder coat hold up to road salt?
The Roan is steel under a textured black powder coat that N-Fab warrants for five years. The coating is tough, but no finish on steel is immune to salt, so touch up any deep chips and rinse the boards through the winter to keep rust from starting at a damaged spot.
Can I adjust where the boards sit?
Yes. The Roan uses an adjustable mounting system, so you can position the boards during install before the hardware is tightened.
Are the tread plates removable?
Yes. The louvered tread plates bolt on, so they can be taken off to be refinished or painted to match your build, separately from the frame.
Do they come as a pair, and is the hardware included?
Yes. Every order is two boards, driver and passenger side, with the tread plates fitted, the vehicle-specific brackets and the hardware kit.
