Features

Slider and Step in One
The TrailSlider does two jobs with one part: it protects the rocker panels on the trail, and its outer tube is the step you use to climb in.

2" Main Tube, 3/16" Wall
The primary tube is 2" in diameter with a 3/16" wall, a heavier section than a typical step bar, chosen for impacts rather than looks.

Fully Welded and Gusseted
Every joint is fully welded, and gussets brace the structure so it resists bending and deforming under a hard hit.

Rocker-Panel Mounting
N-Fab classifies the TrailSlider as a rocker-panel mount: its brackets pick up factory mounting points under the body along the rocker. Most applications bolt on without drilling; where a vehicle needs a hole drilled, the Installation tab of that listing says so.

Textured Black Powder Coat
A textured black powder coat seals the steel against corrosion and gives the tube a grippier surface when it is used as a step. N-Fab warrants the finish for five years.

Sold as a Pair

Installation

Type: Bolt-on, no drilling  ·  Tools: Hand tools (socket set, ratchet and a torque wrench)  ·  Difficulty: DIY-friendly; a helper or jack stands make lifting each slider into place easier

If the vehicle has factory running boards, they come off first. Each slider is lifted into place against the body, its brackets lined up with the factory mounting points, and the hardware started loosely before everything is brought up to torque in the order N-Fab's sheet gives. The installation guide for this application uses the factory mounting points and does not call for drilling. The guide specifies fastener torque of 17 ft-lb and 21 ft-lb.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns

Warranty. N-Fab warrants the TrailSlider for life against defects in materials and workmanship, covering the tube, the gussets, the brackets and the welds, and warrants the powder-coat finish for five years. Both terms belong to the original purchaser, on the vehicle the product was first installed on, and they do not transfer if the vehicle is sold.

Free shipping. This part ships by ground parcel carrier to the lower 48 states.

Inspect on delivery. Open the carton the day it arrives and check every part and the hardware bag against the parts list before you start. A damaged or short kit reported in the first days is a quick replacement; one reported after installation is much harder to resolve.

Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. N-Fab charges a 20% restocking fee on any product returned without a defect, and an N-Fab representative has to confirm a defect in fit, form or function before a return is authorized, so please contact us before shipping a part back.
