Pace Edwards SwitchBlade Manual Retractable Tonneau Cover for 2009-2018 Ram 1500, 2010-2026 Ram 2500/3500 & 2019-2023 Ram 1500 Classic (8' Bed)

With an ArmorTek-over-aluminum deck and no stops along its rails, the Pace Edwards SwitchBlade travels fully open or fully closed. Release the rear latch and its Continuous Tension Spring draws the deck into a low-profile canister at the bulkhead. Part SWD7936 fits the 8' bed (96.3" measured) on 2009-2018 Ram 1500, 2019-2023 Ram 1500 Classic and 2010-2026 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks, Dodge-badged 2009-2010 models included.

Features

ArmorTek Over Rigid Aluminum
The deck is made of rigid aluminum top panels laminated with ArmorTek padded vinyl, a weather-resistant overlay bonded to the metal.

Release the Latch, It Retracts
Release the rear latch and Pace Edwards' heavy-duty Continuous Tension Spring takes over, drawing the cover into a low-profile canister mounted at the bulkhead for nearly full access to the bed.

Lifts Out for Full Bed Access
The canister and cover come out as one assembly in minutes, so the whole bed is available for a big load and the cover goes back on afterward.

Built-In Rain Gutters
Recessed U-channels in the side rails work as gutters in heavy rain and send water out of the bed through drainage tubes. The cover is weather resistant, not waterproof.

Pull Strap Closing
A built-in pull strap brings the deck back over the bed from the tailgate end.

Fully Open or Fully Closed
The deck runs smoothly along the rails with no stopping points, so it is used fully open or fully closed rather than locked partway.

Clear View Rearward
The cover allows full rear visibility, and its contoured canister stays low at the front of the bed.

Clamp-On Mounting
The SwitchBlade clamps to the truck with its included clamp system, with no cutting or drilling on most trucks. Only a bed without factory drain holes needs holes drilled, and those are for the drain tubes, not the cover.

Installation

This cover clamps onto the truck with its included clamp system, with no cutting or drilling on most trucks. The drain tubes use the factory drain holes or ports at the front of the bed; a truck without them needs 3/4" holes drilled for the tubes. Pace Edwards lists a Phillips head screwdriver and a 7/16" wrench as the tools for mounting and says the job takes under an hour. The same mounting lets the canister and cover come out as one assembly in minutes when the whole bed is needed.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns

Warranty. Pace Edwards backs the SwitchBlade with a two-year limited warranty. It covers ArmorTek deck material delamination, a failed Continuous Tension Spring, and all hardware and components. Not covered: normal wear and tear such as fading or discoloration, water that gets in at any point and the damage it causes, added parts and accessories, and acts of nature. Coverage is void after lubrication other than what the owner or installation manual prescribes, misuse, negligence or accident, improper installation, cargo that is not secured, or an accessory installed without Pace Edwards' written permission that interferes with the cover. Pace Edwards repairs or replaces a defective part at its discretion and does not cover consequential damage to the vehicle or other property. Shipping. The carrier and ship method are set by the size and weight of the carton when the order is placed. Inspect on delivery. Open the carton when it arrives and check the cover, rails and hardware before you start the install. Note any visible carton damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it, because damage reported later is much harder to claim.
