Description & Fitment
Part 1356000 is the TeraFlex 3.5" coil spring base lift kit for the 2018-2026 Jeep Wrangler JL (4-door only). It is the basic lift only: TeraFlex notes it lacks the drivability of a full system. TeraFlex says this height needs caster correction and track bar parts, sold separately, to set geometry. TeraFlex lists longer front lower Sport control arms or front control arm Sport brackets or adjustable Alpine arms, plus HD forged adjustable track bars as the options. Choose your engine version: 1356000 (3.6L / 2.0L), 1356020 (3.0L Diesel), 1356040 (4xe). It ships without shocks. TeraFlex points to its Falcon or 9550 VSS shocks for the longer travel.

Will this fit my 2018-2026 Jeep Wrangler JL?
Yes, if your Jeep matches the fitment table and is a 4-door and you pick the variant that matches it. If you're unsure, send us your VIN and we'll check.
What else do I need?
Longer shocks, which are not included. At 3.5" and 4.5", caster correction and track bar parts as TeraFlex specifies. TeraFlex may also call for bump stop strike pad extensions (1959500) or shims (1959300).
Is a base lift kit a full suspension system?
No. TeraFlex says its base kits carry just the basic lift parts and do not have the drivability of a full system. At 3.5" and 4.5" you also need caster correction and track bar parts, sold separately.
Which shocks should I run?
Lifted springs need longer shocks. TeraFlex recommends its Falcon shocks or its 9550 VSS twin-tube shocks, and some JL kits come with the 9550s.
Do I need new wheels?
On the JL kits TeraFlex calls for wheels with 4.75" backspacing or less, or its 1057000 offset wheel adapters on stock wheels, and some setups need bump stop strike pad extensions (1959500) or shims (1959300).
What are Outback springs?
Outback lift coil springs are TeraFlex's heavy-rate springs for overland builds that carry extra cargo. They are sold as front or rear pairs.

Here's the short version. Follow TeraFlex's install sheet (below) for your Jeep's exact steps and torque values.
- Lift and support the Jeep at the frame, remove the front tires and support the front axle.
- Remove the sway bar links and track bar bolt at the axle, discard the brake line brackets on the lower control arms, disconnect the actuators and vent hose, loosen the front control arm bolts and remove the shocks.
- Lower the axle, remove the front springs, fit the bump stops into the new springs and install them, raise the axle, install the shocks and brake line anchors, reconnect the axle connections and install the new sway bar links (torque as printed).
- At the rear, lift and support, discard the e-brake cable bracket and reroute the cables, loosen the control arms, discard the sway bar links, and remove the track bar, shocks and brake line brackets.
- Lower the axle, fit the new rear springs (driver side first), raise the axle and install the shocks, brake line brackets and new sway bar links, then fit the rear track bar bracket with the M12 bolts (1/2" drill per the tool list), torquing as printed.
- Reinstall the tires and lower to the ground, reinstall the front and rear track bars and torque them and the control arms as printed.

TeraFlex covers its coil springs and its 9550 VSS shocks for life against defects in materials and workmanship, and paint and powder coat finishes for 90 days (defects only). TeraFlex's warranty list names no separate term for the coil spring spacers in the Gladiator 2.5" kit, so contact us if you need that term before ordering.- TeraFlex extends its limited warranty only to the consumer who first bought the product, and only on the vehicle the part was first installed on. It does not pass to a later owner.
- Coverage starts on the purchase date and does not restart if a part is repaired or replaced.
- For a covered defect, TeraFlex will either repair or replace the product (or the faulty part) free of charge or refund the purchase price, at its discretion, and it pays the freight to send a repaired or replacement part back to you.

Jeep Looks Great
I installed my lift around 2 weeks ago with the help of a friend. It was actually pretty easy to install and it only took about 5-6 hours for us. I am really liking my new lift bc my jeep looks so much better now and it honestly feels like the ride is better. I’d say it was worth the price.

Great value
Firmer ride even with larger tires there is less roll. Measured to be 3 inches of lift but will settle and sag eventually to 2.5 best lift for the money on all the parts you receive. I did do an upgrade front adjustable track bar to keep geometry in line. Didn't need a rear track bar as it stayed well in line. About 3 hours to install with the parts that I purchased outside of the kit. But I also have wide array of tools available.

2.5" Lift in my 2019 JLU & I love it!
I shopped lifts forever and didn't know what one to buy. I didn't want to spend a fortune as this is a second vehicle for me and a highway toy. After reading many forums on the topic, I decided on the Teraflex and have been very happy! It rides and looks great. The only suggestion I can give is to add an extra .5" spring spacer in the rear right away if you are going to add a big spare and a heavy rear bumper. I learned that the hard way and had to add it after the fact.

Perfect for new jeep owners!

Lifted and smooth on bumps
This lift was easy to install in my garage with a buddy. We are no experts but had all the tools to complete the job and took about 5 hours. I have an adjustable front JLS track bar, changed the tie rod and drag link a while back. Having some minor wobble may have to see about the rear track bar everything else seems to be in place with no loose movement.

Best lift for your money!
Great price for a quality lift kit! Rides smooth on the road- even at highway speeds. Quality parts all around. Gives a little more than 2.5"- mine ended up sitting close to 3 inches but might settle over time. 10/10 would recommend

Just right lift kit
I chose this lift kit because 2.5" is about the most you can do without having to make other modifications to your Jeep. With 34" or 35" tires, it ends up being "the way the factory should have built it". Not too high that it's a pain to get in, better looking and better functioning than stock. I'm happy with the look and the ride quality. My wife's Jeep is probably never going to be off road, so I can't vouch for 4x4 capability. On the road it's a little tight but smooth and compentent at soaking up bumps. The Mickey Thompson tires I chose ride smoothly and are quiet enough.

Fantastic ride.
I bought this lift for my wife’s 21 Sahara JL and couldn’t be happier. The lift looks clean and rides better than stock (IMO). Clears 35”s with no rubbing.

Semi easy upgrade
Driving a 2018 JLUR this 3.5 inch lift is a nice addition. I had a friend install it. He stated it was easier than the previous ones he's done and didn't require any further parts for the install. The only thing required post install was an alignment and possible balancing. On the second day driving it I hit a bump in the road without my hands on the steering wheel and had a slight wobble. With my hand on the wheel it went away and hasn't happened since. I don't think speed wobbles (Death wobble) will come to me fortunately. I have a set of NITTO 35's on the stock rims and have plenty of room for my next set of tires, 37's. I DID have to add a 2 inch spacer to all wheels to prevent from rubbing but that gives it that aggressive stance, which is fine with me. I also have the electronic sway bar disconnects. Overall I am impressed with the simplicity of this kit and would refer it to…

Looks and Ride Solid
I’m pleased with the purchase. I was concerned about how it would ride with adding 37s to it… but had some cattle get out and had to rush across a disked up pasture the same day I got it back…. Stunningly surprised at how smooth it was going across it at 25 mph. I’m happy with it

Perfect lift

Great option but order the control arms
Great lift and great option for on and moderate off road. Tracks bettter than orm and more comfortable ride. Shop struggled with this install a because bit. Brake line mounts are removed and leave the line dangling dangerously. Ordered the mount extenders to solve this. Ordered the sport control arms to fix the geometry and angle of the drive shaft. Also ordered the front and rear track bars. Could have ordered just the track bar bracket but these new track bars are so much better Double check all the torques as there are several different torque requirements Teraflex support line was fantastic

Nice performing kit
Nice lift kit. Local shop installed it for me. Only thing, I had to buy rear coils for my 4xe model. I didn’t realize it was a difference until it was half way installed.

Most excellent.
So took these to a DIY garage, watched a YouTube vid, easy instal anyone could do this save yourself the mechanic bill and do it yourself. Teraflex packaged this super well. Your shocks and springs are labeled so you don't have to worry what goes where. They include 3 instruction manuals for each part. New hardware for some things, but mostly using the hardware that you have. They give new bump stop extenders but no bumpstops kinda would've liked if they did. After install had no issues with wobble, rides very well, aimed at some pot holes otw home stayed firm barely felt anything. Lift is definitely noticable on my Sahara. Can't wait to get bigger tires.
