The Deuce is the only cover TruXedo builds that opens at both ends of the bed. Drop the tailgate, pull the rear toggle and it rolls forward to the cab on retainer straps, clearing the box completely; leave the tailgate shut, flip a lever on either side of the truck and the front section hinges up to give you roughly the first 30" of the bed without walking round. Below the grained vinyl sits an aluminum frame wearing gloss black powder coat, EPDM rubber closes all four corners, and the shut cover stands about 3/4" proud of the rail line. Use the selector to name your truck and the page narrows to one part, one price and the manual that goes in its carton.

Features
It Rolls and It Folds Every other soft cover TruXedo builds does one or the other. The Deuce rolls forward from the tailgate for the full length of the bed, and its front section hinges up at the cab end for quick access, so the way you open it depends on what you are reaching for rather than on what the cover allows.
Front Release on Both Sides The levers that free the hinged front section sit on the driver side and the passenger side, so you open it from wherever you are standing. Press the section back down and the latches catch on their own; the striker pins return to ninety degrees when they are properly home.
3/4" Above the Rail Closed, the Deuce sits about 3/4" proud of the bed rails, which is low enough that the truck reads as covered rather than as carrying something. It is one of the flattest soft covers TruXedo has built, and the profile is most of the reason for that.
EPDM Rubber at Every Corner Corners are where a bed cover leaks and where dust gets in, so that is where the rubber goes: EPDM seals at all four, plus two foam block seals that squeeze against the front bulkhead as the underbody rails are clamped down. The tailgate end gets its own header seal.
Tension Built Into the Hinges Rather than a tensioner at one end, the Deuce carries its tension control inside the hinges themselves, working with floating hook-and-loop strips along both sides to keep the vinyl taut as the temperature swings. Set it once on a warm day, in small increments, and it holds.
Powder-Coated Aluminum Under the Vinyl Underneath, the aluminum is powder coated in gloss black for corrosion resistance rather than left raw, and the skin stretched over it is industrial-grade vinyl. That combination is what lets the manufacturer put a car wash in the care instructions rather than a warning about one.
A Two-Piece Rail and Eight Clamps The Deuce mounts on a separate underbody rail and side rail assembly on each side, held by eight clamps rather than the six a plain roll-up uses. It is more hardware because the hinged front has to be carried as well as the cover, and it is the reason nothing on this cover is shared with the roll-up kits.
Fitment & Compatibility
{{PENDING_FITMENT_TABLE:truxedo-deuce}}
Name your truck in the selector above, down to the box length, and the page narrows to the one part built around it. They are listed separately because no two share rails, hardware, a manual or a price. Read the qualifier on whatever you land on before ordering. A Ram with the split tailgate takes a different part from a Ram without one; a Tundra on Toyota's deck rail takes different mounting hardware from a Tundra on a bare rail; and the Nissan track system has its own version again. Fitting a TonneauMate toolbox alongside it? Its mounting rails, seals and adjustable clamps go unused with this cover.

Clamps hold this cover to every truck it fits, and no application anywhere in the range asks for a hole or a cut. The build order belongs to this model alone: foam blocks into the bulkhead corners, underbody rails clamped with their front ends measured 30-1/4" back from that bulkhead, side rail assemblies trued and clamped over them, cover lowered into the header stops and swung forward until the striker pins bite, tie bars linking the two front levers connected last of all. Five documents serve this range and not one of them prints a tightening figure; each says only to make the clamps secure on the rails before the truck moves. Hardware and tool lists do change between vehicles, and Toyota Tundra buyers in particular get their own supplement and their own clamp set. Choose your truck and the page you reach carries the right document.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns
Warranty. Defects in material and workmanship are covered for as long as the product lasts, to whoever bought it new, so long as it went on correctly and has been used for what it was built for. Keep the dated receipt or register it; a second owner inherits nothing. Anything repaired, altered, modified, abused or simply worn out falls outside, and a claim can be refused where parts that did not come from the manufacturer have been fitted. In practice two care rules decide most outcomes. Wash it with mild soap and water or send it through a car wash, then rinse every trace of soap away. And keep silicone, petroleum and citrus products off the vinyl, because all three will shrink and crack it. Beyond that: nothing set down on top or lashed to the frame, no driving with the front section hinged open, and the cover rolled right back and strapped before the truck is pulled backwards on a tow.
Free shipping. The carton goes by parcel carrier rather than freight, and stock generally leaves us within 1 to 2 business days.
Inspect on delivery. It travels by parcel carrier in a long box, and the four rail sections inside are what absorb the knocks along the way. Give the outside a look while the driver waits. Unpack it that day and tick the clamps and the two block seals off against the diagram in the manual, because a tweaked rail found in week one is a phone call and the same rail found in week three is an argument. Spares come straight from the factory rather than back through the seller, and a damage note written on the delivery paperwork is what gets a replacement moving.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About TruXedo
TruXedo is a South Dakota manufacturer of pickup bed covers, assembling them in Yankton and warranting them to the original buyer with proof of purchase on file. The company honors a warranty only on a cover bought through an authorized dealer, which matters in a category full of lookalike listings sold at a discount. Buying here means the Deuce arrives as a warranted product rather than as an orphan.
The Deuce is the hybrid in the TruXedo lineup and the only cover the company builds that both rolls and folds. Its stablemates each open one way and one way only. TruXport is where the range starts, in vinyl. Lo Pro is the vinyl cover cut to sit low. Pro X15 trades that vinyl for woven canvas and gets quieter for it, and Pro X15 TS is the same canvas cover with T-slot rails milled into it for rack hardware. If what you want is a locking deck rather than a fabric lid, the range steps up to Sentry and Sentry CT, which run aluminum slats under vinyl and canvas respectively. The Deuce sits apart from all of them because of how it opens, not because of what it is made of.
One pattern runs through this manufacturer's whole catalog: a skin held taut across an aluminum structure, gripped onto the box by clamps, with no hole made in any truck. What the Deuce does differently is carry a hinge assembly across the front of that structure and bury its tension adjusters inside the hinges. The skin is a grained industrial vinyl and the metal beneath it wears gloss black powder coat. Cover runs for the life of the product, to the person who bought it.

Two ways into one bed
The Deuce is built to open from either end. Drop the tailgate, release the rear toggle and the whole cover rolls forward to the cab on retainer straps, which clears the bed completely. Or leave the tailgate shut, flip a lever on either side of the truck and the front section of the cover hinges up, giving you the first 30" of the box without walking to the back. Most owners use the front hatch daily and the full roll only when something large goes in.

Sealed at all four corners
TruXedo puts EPDM rubber seals at every corner of the Deuce, backed by foam block seals that compress between the underbody rails and the front bulkhead as the clamps come down. Rubber at the corners is what decides whether a soft cover keeps dust and weather out of a bed, because corners are where the geometry of a truck box fights the geometry of a flat lid. Under the vinyl the aluminum frame is powder coated gloss black, which is the part that has to survive a decade of road salt.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
How do I get at the front of the bed without dropping the tailgate?
That is the reason this cover exists. A release lever sits on each side of the truck just behind the cab, and flipping one lifts the hinged front section of the cover up and forward, exposing roughly the first 30" of the bed. You can do it from the driver side or the passenger side, whichever you happen to be standing on, and the front latches re-engage on their own when you press the section back down. Lift up on the front edge afterwards to confirm it has caught. One firm rule from TruXedo: never drive with the hinged front open.
Does it roll all the way back as well?
It does, and that is the other half of the design. Open the tailgate, pull the rear release toggle, and roll the cover forward toward the cab, keeping both sides even as it goes. Secure it at the cab with both retainer straps before you move off; a partly rolled or unstrapped cover is the one thing TruXedo warns about most, because wind will find it. Do not stow the rolled cover hard against the cab or the back window. Rolled and strapped, the entire bed is open, which is what a folding cover cannot give you.
How tight should the clamps be?
TruXedo does not publish a torque figure for the Deuce, and we are not going to invent one. Across all five installation documents the company serves for this cover, the instruction is the same sentence: tighten the clamps securely on the side rails before driving the vehicle, so the cover cannot blow off. What the documents do give you is a set of positions rather than numbers. Mount each clamp as high on the rail as it will go for the best grip, press down while you tighten so the side seal stays compressed, and set the underbody rails 30-1/4" back from the front bulkhead on both sides. If the rear header will not latch, the cause is usually a side rail sitting out of level rather than a clamp that needs more force.
Will it keep the weather out?
Most of it, yes, though waterproof and airtight are words the manufacturer avoids for every cover it builds, and so will we. The Deuce seals with EPDM rubber at all four corners plus two foam block seals that compress against the front bulkhead as the underbody rails come down, and the vinyl surface is held taut by tension controls built into the cover's own hinges. The corners are where a truck bed leaks, which is why that is where the rubber is. In a long downpour or a pressure wash, expect some moisture to get past the tailgate, and keep anything that genuinely must stay dry in a sealed container.
Can I take it through a car wash?
Yes, and this is one of the few covers where the manufacturer says so in writing. TruXedo's manual states the vinyl cover can be hand washed with mild soap and water or cleaned in a car wash, and asks that you rinse thoroughly so no soap residue is left on the surface. You can also treat it with a vinyl protectant made for tonneau covers. What voids the warranty is the wrong product: never use a conditioner containing silicone, petroleum or citrus, because those will crack and shrink the vinyl. That rules out most general-purpose dashboard sprays.
How secure is it, and can it be locked?
The Deuce has a security lock on the driver side, and the manual shows it in both positions and states that the cover can be locked while it is rolled up or in the open position. What that gives you is a cover that cannot simply be flipped open or unrolled by hand. TruXedo is equally plain in the same manual about the limit: a fabric cover will not prevent theft of the contents of the truck box. Treat it as a deterrent and as a way of keeping what is in the bed out of sight rather than as a safe. If a lock is the deciding factor in your purchase, the aluminum-slatted Sentry and Sentry CT are the covers built around one.
