TruXedo seats the Lo Pro's side rails down inside the box rather than over the bed rails, and that is what leaves the shut cover a bare 3/4" proud of the rail line, with the truck looking untouched from a few paces away. Beneath the leather-grain vinyl a patented self-adjusting spring tensioner pulls against a floating strip of hook-and-loop to hold everything drum tight as the seasons swing, and one finger on the anodized trigger sends the cover rolling forward to the bulkhead. Part number 590601 is the 2001-2003 Ford F-150 fit, sized for the 5'6" (66") box.

Features
Rails Inside the Bed
Most soft roll-ups bolt their tracks on top of the bed rails, which raises the whole cover by the height of the track. TruXedo drops the Lo Pro's rails down inside the bed instead, so the closed cover finishes 3/4" above the rail line. That single decision is what the model is for: the truck keeps its own shoulder line, and the cover reads as part of the bed rather than as something bolted over it.
Tension That Adjusts Itself
A patented spring tensioner works against a floating hook-and-loop strip, so the vinyl is pulled flat by the mechanism rather than by how hard you tugged it when you fitted it. Soft covers go slack in the cold and tighten in the heat; this one takes that up on its own through the year, and there is no turnbuckle, ratchet or seasonal adjustment anywhere on the cover.
One Finger on the Trigger
The rear latch is a single anodized trigger you release with one finger, standing at the tailgate with a load in your other hand. The cover then rolls forward to the bulkhead and buckles down with its integrated straps. Nothing has to be unclipped at the corners first and nothing needs a second person, which is the practical difference between a cover you open daily and one you leave shut.
Leather Grain Over Powder Coat
The top is industrial-grade tear-resistant vinyl in a leather grain, and beneath it sits an aluminum frame carrying a gloss black powder coat rather than bare or painted extrusion. From the side of the truck it is a better-looking cover than the price suggests, and the powder coat is the part that goes on surviving winters where paint would start to lift at the edges.
Sealed at Both Ends
Rubber seals close the gap at the bulkhead and at the tailgate, and hook-and-loop runs the full length of both side rails between them. Press that hook-and-loop down with the flat of your hand every time you shut the cover, including part way through a long trip. The word waterproof never appears in TruXedo's material and it will not appear in ours, but a cover closed properly at all four edges is the difference between a damp corner and a wet bed.
Comes Off Without Tools
On most applications the Lo Pro carries TruXedo's quick-release system, which lets you lift the whole cover out of the rails in moments and get the full bed back for a tall load, then drop it in again afterwards without a single tool. A handful of trucks cannot take it because of how their beds are shaped, and where that is the case the fitment notes on that truck's page say so outright rather than leaving you to find out.
Fitment & Compatibility
Fit guidance: Fits the 2001-2003 Ford F-150 with the 5'6" (66") bed. The Lo Pro's rails are cut for one truck and one box length, so this part number is the one for this combination; the same truck with a different bed takes a different cover.

Installation
Type: Clamp-on, no drilling · Time: Under an hour · Tools: Flat head screwdriver, 1/2" wrench or socket, isopropyl alcohol; spring clamps and a utility knife are recommended · Difficulty: Level 1, one person
Both rails seat down inside the box and clamp there, the rolled cover drops into the channel and the header shuts against the tailgate. Nothing gets cut, drilled or permanently changed, and the whole assembly lifts straight back out if the truck moves on. Adhesive seals go on first, so prep the bulkhead and the corners with alcohol and give them time to flash off before anything is pressed home. TruXedo calls for 8 ft-lb at the rail clamps using a half-inch wrench or socket, light enough that a torque wrench beats a guess. One detail catches people out and is not a fault: the rear of the passenger rail is punched with a hole and no latch behind it. The brand punches every rail the same way so they stay interchangeable, and its sheet says as much.

Lo Pro Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover Installation Sheet (PDF), Document 1118953, revision D. This is the series guide, naming no vehicle, so the steps are shared across trucks while the rails in your carton were cut for yours. It also carries the full warranty terms and the care instructions in print.
Warranty, Shipping & Returns
Warranty. A limited lifetime term on the hard parts, which TruXedo spells out as the rails, the clamps and the bows, plus a limited lifetime term on the fabric. Both run against faults in material or workmanship, both belong to the first owner alone, and neither travels with the truck when you sell it. Keep a dated receipt and register the cover online, which the brand asks for and which decides a claim years later. Where the cover was bought matters just as much: TruXedo states in print that a cover bought from eBay or an unrecognized online seller can arrive used, defective or short of parts, and it declines claims on those. We are a dealer TruXedo recognizes. Its written conditions deserve a minute of your time. Mild automotive soap and water is the cleaning instruction. A vinyl protectant sold specifically for tonneau covers is permitted; anything carrying silicone or petroleum is not. Never set off with the cover partly open. Never let a load lean on the fabric or tie anything to the frame. And if the truck is going onto a hook backwards, roll the cover right open and strap it down first.
Free shipping. Lo Pro covers travel as parcel rather than LTL freight, which means no lift-gate fee and no delivery window to sit and wait through. In-stock orders generally go out within 1 to 2 business days of landing with us.
Inspect on delivery. Unpack the carton before the driver pulls away and look over the rails, the trigger latch and the vinyl. A line written onto the receipt there and then is what makes a fast replacement possible; a report that arrives days afterwards rarely moves as quickly.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About TruXedo
TruXedo assembles its roll-up covers in Yankton, South Dakota, some topped in vinyl and some built on hard slats. Its warranty goes to the person who buys a cover new, will not follow the truck to its next owner, and applies only when the cover was supplied by a dealer the brand has authorized. The brand is unusually blunt about it in print, cautioning that a cover bought from eBay or an unrecognized online seller can arrive used, defective or short of parts, with nothing standing behind it. Going through an authorized dealer is what makes a limited lifetime term worth having.
Lo Pro is the cover that made the brand's name, and it sits one step above TruXport, the entry model in vinyl. What separates it is the rail: TruXedo mounts it inside the bed rather than over the bed rails, which is where the low closed profile comes from. Move further up the range and the surface changes rather than the geometry. Pro X15 and Pro X15 TS swap vinyl for the brand's RTxTechWeave canvas, with the TS adding T-slot rails for a rack. On the Deuce the leading section hinges forward instead of only rolling back. The Sentry and Sentry CT leave fabric behind entirely for interlocking aluminum slats that lock. Lo Pro stays a soft cover and spends its money on the profile, the tensioner and the one-finger latch.
Everything the company makes rests on aluminum framing, topped either in industrial vinyl or in the canvas it weaves for itself. Fitting is a clamp job on all but a handful of parts, with no hole going into the truck. What TruXedo patents is the way its covers hold themselves taut and the way they shut, so that the surface never needs an owner reaching for an adjuster twice a year.
