- Rolls Up to the Cab: Roll the cover forward until it sits at the cab, hook both retainer straps, and the whole bed is open for tall loads. TruXedo's rule is simple: drive with it fully latched or fully rolled and strapped, never part way.
- Latches at the Tailgate: Unroll it to the tailgate and the rear header drops into the header stops and clicks shut. To open, one finger on the trigger latch on the driver side rail releases it, which TruXedo pitches as one-finger operation.
- Clamp-On Install, No Drilling: On most trucks the rails clamp to the inside of the bed rails with no drilling; TruXedo calls it a Level 1 job that takes under an hour, often about 30 minutes. A few versions use brackets or deck rail hardware, and the CarbonPro bed version drills the bed caps, so check your truck's page.
- Five-Layer RTxTechWeave Top: The top is RTxTechWeave, a textured, 120-grade woven composite built in five layers instead of a vinyl sheet. TruXedo says it stretches tighter than other cover materials and calls it the quietest, most refined soft roll-up on the market.
- Low 15-Degree Side Rails: The X15 rails are angled at 15 degrees, so the closed cover finishes nearly flush with the bed rails. TruXedo rates that profile 33% lower than TruXedo's own Lo Pro, with less wind drag and noise.
- Tension That Holds, Edges That Stay Down: DriveTight automatic tension control in the front header is set at the factory and takes up slack as the fabric moves with the temperature. RTxGrip multi-tiered hook-and-loop then holds both side edges down, and aluminum cross-frames underneath help stop sagging under rain or snow.

Made for the 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra and its 8'2" (97.6") bed, with the deck rail system, this is TruXedo's Pro X15 soft roll-up. Pull the trigger latch and roll it to the cab for open-bed hauling, then fasten the two straps before you drive. Its clamps slide into the Tundra's factory deck rails, so nothing is drilled. The top is RTxTechWeave: five layers, 120 grade and textured, and in TruXedo's words tighter than other cover materials, which keeps it quiet. The DriveTight header keeps steady tension on the canvas, and RTxGrip hook-and-loop holds both edges down. Both the fabric and the hard parts carry TruXedo's limited lifetime warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this Pro X15 fit my Tundra?
Yes, if it is a 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra with the 8'2" bed, with the deck rail system. Measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate; TruXedo's figure for this bed is 97.6". It is not the part for trucks without the deck rail system (1446701), the 6'7" box (1445701 or 1445801) or the 5'7" box (1463701 or 1463801).
Does it matter whether my Tundra has the deck rail system?
Yes. TruXedo builds separate Pro X15 parts for Tundras with and without Toyota's factory deck rail system, and 1446801 is for beds with it. The other setup takes part 1446701.
Will it keep rain and snow out of the bed?
It is built to keep most weather out, but TruXedo states plainly that the cover is not airtight. The kit's corner seals, end plug seals and (on select trucks) bulkhead seal do the sealing, so clean each spot with soap, water and isopropyl alcohol before you stick them down. TruXedo notes that water reaching the tailgate corners usually runs out the bottom of the tailgate, away from the truck. Keep anything that must stay dry in a closed container.
Water sits on top after it rains. Is that normal?
Yes. TruXedo explains that the cross bows are flat rather than arched, so some water can pool on the closed cover, and it sheds once you drive. Re-press the hook-and-loop along both sides afterward.
Why does the fabric flutter or lift at speed?
Usually the hook-and-loop isn't fully set. After every close, pull the fabric flap over the hook track and press it in with your palms along both rails. If it still flutters, check the tension at the front header spring plungers, adjusting in small steps during the warmest part of the day, as TruXedo's sheet describes.
What if the cover won't latch?
TruXedo's troubleshooting list starts with the rails: they should sit level with the bed caps, not tilted or too low, and you can move the clamps to adjust the tilt. Also make sure the header seal isn't caught between a rail and the header, and that the tension is set correctly.

Here's the short version for the Tundra with deck rails. Follow TruXedo's Tundra install sheet (below) for the drawings.
- Slide the clamps into the deck rails. Make sure every mounting spot is clean. Pull the rear end plugs off the deck rails and remove the tie-downs. Build each clamp with a cap screw and flat washer through the female then the male clamp end, slide three into each deck rail with about 8" left at each end, and refit the cleats and end plugs.
- Seal and set the rails. Stick the end plug seals on the front of both rails and the front corner seals in the bed corners, 1/8" above the bed caps. Set the driver side rail (it carries the trigger latch) inside the bed rail with its flange on the bed cap and its front edge 3/8" back from the bulkhead, then the passenger rail.
- Level and tighten. Hand-tighten the deck-rail clamps to hold the rails, set both rails level with the bed caps, then tighten the clamps with a 1/2" wrench or socket.
- Fit the bulkhead and tailgate seals. If your truck has factory bed caps, clean the bulkhead and run the bulkhead seal edge to edge, flush with its inside edge and tight against the rail end plug seals; trim the excess. Add the end plug seals at the rear of both rails.
- Bolt on the cover. Pull the front header end plugs, slide a bolt into each side of the header and refit the plugs. Set the cover on the rails at the cab end, pass each bolt through the oblong hole in the rail and fit a washer and hex nut underneath with a 1/2" socket: snug it until you feel resistance, then back it off 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
- Unroll, latch and check. Roll the cover to the tailgate, set the rear header in the header stops and rotate it down until it clicks, then press the hook-and-loop strips in along both sides. Re-check the clamps for tightness after your first week of driving and now and then after that; TruXedo makes this a warranty condition.

Awesome cover!
I love the low profile look and I prefer the matte finish rather than the shinier vinyl type cover. Installation was fairly straightforward but it took me just over an hour as I took my time and adjusted it a few times for a great fit! I highly recommend this cover as it allows FULL access to the truck bed and is completely removable in seconds! The quality is excellent and the single latch seems very secure. I did purchase a second latch that I could add to the passenger side but I don’t really think it’s necessary.

Nice looking, lots of unappealing wrinkles.
Order for a 2024 Ranger Raptor. Install was easy, material is great but it has an immense amount of wrinkles at the top and bottom that won’t come out no matter how much it is adjusted. I was told it was because it’s cold but it’s in a heated garage and we’ve had some warm days where it’s sat outside. Also, the tailgate sees a lot of water while going through a car wash. Not too bad during snow storms, haven’t experienced a rain storm.

Difficult to get rails aligned
It is almost impossible to get the rails flat to the bedside as described in the installation instructions. I had to put on the forward and rear rails to the side rails and make a frame to support the side edges. Still not parallel as described, but functions.

I love it but...
I’ve had it on my truck for about a year now. The installation was fairly easy. One man job. Definitely easier with two people though for adjustments. Everything has stayed 100% drying the bed too. So far it’s done everything I needed it to. The only downside is the automatic tension system. It works great. Just make sure you pay attention to the weather. I live in Louisiana where the weather is bipolar. The constant swing in temperature causes it to lose tension. Almost daily sometimes. So make sure you carry around a screwdriver because you’ll need to make adjustments so the tarp is taught and not flapping. I’ve reached out to Truxedo several times with questions and different issues and they’ve been outstanding every time. So really no complaints other than my Louisiana climate. That is the only reason it gets four stars.

This is a very nice soft roll up tonneau cover if you just want something to keep your belongings dry. I use this to keep luggage and such dry during road trips. The material is very nice and worth the money! Although I only had one small hiccup during installation, make sure when installing that the end of the rail doesn't get in the way of the tailgate from closing.

I abs love my bed cover, tht being said I had been doing my research and idk how I didn’t get the “leather” top but it works just as good for what I need it for!! It does leak a littl but I’m sure I could fix it if I actually had the time!!! Make sure you use a tape measure don’t eye ball the measurements because I’m off by maybe a cm but it def made a difference!! If I readjust and it still leaks I will let you know!!

I purchased the same cover for my 2017 GMC Sierra. IMHO there seems to be a drop in quality/fit and finish. I realize I am 9 years older but the installation was not as easy and seamless for 1 person as the 2017 version. I had a hard time locking the cover into the rails and adjusting the cover for a tight fit. I Love the look of the it but with what I paid, I'm questioning if corners were cut in construction.

Cover was beautiful. But I had a very difficult time installing. Main issue was squeezing in the front rail.finally squeezed it in place and then when I tried to latch at the tailgate couldn’t get that to work. Went back in and bought the model tonneau cover I used on my Dakota and this one got installed quickly and easily and works perfectly. All in all it was a beautiful cover. Loved the material

TruXedo Pro X15 for Silverado 1500
There may be other roll up covers that are cheaper, but this cover is simply great. Lifetime warranty, canvas look exterior, installs very easily, low profile and after several rain falls I have no water leaking issues. Installed on a 2022 Silverado 1500 short bed. EXCELLENT!

Phenomenal product!
The cover I purchased for my 2021 Ram Laramie 5' 7" bed was easy to install and only took me about an hour to complete. We just traveled 1200 miles through several rainy days and the cover kept everything in the bed dry! The ability to adjust the tension on the cover really helped keep a nice tight seal and prevented the cover from getting blown around when driving at 80+ MPH. I would highly recommend this product!

It's waterproof!
I filled up the truck with bags and instruments and drove 2 hours in torrential rainstorm and when I arrived at destination everything in the truck was completely dry.

Good looking cover
COver looks good on truck, pretty easy to install even with not great instructions. One issue is that the tension adjusters keep coming loose and velcro strips on rails are very short and slide back and fourth about an inch.

Not what I'd hoped for
I had a Bakflip on my previous 6'4" bed truck and it was great. However my new truck is a long bed (8') with a 5th wheel hitch, so the Bakflip was not an option due to it blocking the cargo camera on long bed versions of the top. I need a low profile cover due to the bed rail clearance of a 5th wheel camper, which limited my options some. I also didn't want to limit what I could put in the bed with the cover installed. Solid roll style covers take up too much room toward the cab for my liking. That led me to the Truxedo. The Truxedo canvas will not roll up or back out evenly without climbing into the bed of the truck and carefully roll it from the center to keep it aligned. That is very inconvenient. After rolling it out I have to pull up on both sides to re-seat all the velcro because it creases. It feels flimsy. Maybe it would be a better option for a short bed truck where there…

Truxedo X-15 rolls easy
Love this cover on my Frontier King Cab long bed. At 2 years it looks like new and has no leaks. It rolls up & back easily, and it doesn't block the rear-view window. It's pricey, but QUALITY counts.

decent solution
I have a RAM with a multifunction tailgate that makes finding a top difficult. It is challenging to keep water out at the front of the bed with this topper. The cover release is hard to access when you use the multi-function tailgate and swing the tailgate doors which is a bit annoying. It is hard to smooth out the top regardless of adjusting, stretching and pulling on the fabric The quality of the fabric is great. quality of the rails is average compared to other products. The cross bars do a poor job of keeping water from puddling on the top.

Not as advertised
The cover won’t shut with the tailgate up. It will shut with it down and then I can close the tailgate. Somewhat defeating the purpose because the rubber flap that keeps the water out is shut inside. Customer service said “yeah sometimes they don’t shut with the tailgate up”.

Truxedo Pro X15
Had to drop rating down to 3 from 5 for 2025 F150 Pro X15. My 2019 F150 was same cover and 5 star review. The new ones sit up a little higher but not enough to lower rating. Mainly it is the quality. . . not as well sewn together (not as nice of a fit) -1 star. The biggest thing is they took away the great firm rain flap that stuck straight out and used to sit on top of the tailgate and I hardly got any water in. Used to close tailgate first then smack tonneau closed so flap sat on top. Now the stupid flaps are flimsy, short and meant to butt up on inside of tailgate and all kinds of water gets in! 12" in all across bed by tailgate. Can not keep anything back there! And yes, it is installed properly and back as far as it can be. Very dissappointed in another company sacrificing quality for either stupid engineering changes for cost savings, or just greed. Quality Control is not there
ok product, Quality control is lacking, Paint it missing on the ends. Box looked like it had been sitting for awhile, it was covered with dust when it arrived and falling apart.

Not the greatest fit
I purchased the same model I had on my 2018 Silverado. This one doesn't fit as well for my 2022. The top cap of the tailgate interferes with the end rail of the cover. I had to move the entire assembly so far forward the gasket no longer seals out water. I have the standard tailgate, not the multi-pro/multi-flex tailgate.

It’s just ok
Tonneau looks ok , install is not as portrayed in videos, cover does not seal on top of the tailgate like shown and the tensioners are not factory set , overall it’s nothing to jump up and down or write home for.

Not totally impressed
Love the looks of it. Leaks to much. I was golfing and left my under Armor tennis shoes in the back and it totally soaked my shoes while just sitting in the parking lot. Expensive investment for not doing the purpose I purchased it for.

Pro x15 cover
The pro x15 cover does not fit a 2011 chevy. It is almost 1/4 of an inch to wide to fit between the rails once you install the rails on the bed sides!

Leaks like a sieve

Low quality, not impressed
Looks great, but when it comes to function it seems cheap. For example, when you drop the tailgate you have to release the tonneau latch, and one month after one month of use the latch doesn’t want to grasp without excess force and nothing feels solid so you don’t want to bend the latch system. Not sure this was worth the money. ***And once you install it you’re stuck with it, so good luck!

Cover looks great, just put it on this Saturday took about two hours, I am really pleased with the quality of material and look. My only issue is that I would have thought the rails would have overlapped the sides of the bed a little more. they barely did. I assume that the actual side weather strips are what keeps it rain tight. all and all great product

Free pool with purchase
Cover installs easily & looks great. . . on dry days. It holds gallons of water when it rains, causing the cover to sag - can't be good for it. I even wedged a rubber ball between the cover and my 5th wheel hitch plate, but the water just encircled the hump, creating an island in the middle of a lake. I would not purchase again.

Install issues
I don’t install tonneau covers for a living, so I found the instructions pretty poor and the install process a two hour giant pain. YMMV. It does look great, though.

Pretty good
Mounts feel a little flimsy but is fine once everything is tightened up. Make sure you adjust the front tensioners properly or it is easy to un-velcro the sides and reach in to the bed. After it was all said and done it looks great and functions great.

Beautiful
This low (and I mean low) profile cover looks awesome on my gladiator. Seals nicely and fits great. The reason I gave it a four star was the instructions. They are not bad but definitely not the best. Says continuously to push down and out towards the side panels of your truck to install the rails but the front section where the brackets are attached DO NOT need to be pushed outward. The back section does need to be. After doing what the instructions say I had to remove the top and fix the front to line up with the back so attach the front rails to the front brackets exactly where the brackets lay and the back push outwards flush with the rails or you will have a crooked cover. Over all it looks amazing! Another note. This top only comes with one clip on the back where you latch the cover on a gladiator. It does NOT have two. Manufacturer confirmed!

It took some time but in the end it was right.
I ordered my tonneau cover it came in. While installing it we noticed the clamps were wrong. Then I found out it was the wrong cover. Sent it back, ticktock. About a week later the right cover came to my house. I was told it was a computer glitch. The people I spoke to on the phone were very helpful and pleasant. In the end I like my cover very much. Thank you!

Good cover, brackets need some improvements
I put a truxedo on my last pick up and had great results with it, so I purchased the x15 expecting the same quality. Overall the cover fits well and secures and protects the bed, however the mounting hardware isn’t up to my expectations. The front brackets use pretty weak jack nuts and well nuts which don’t really keep the front rail down tight to seal the cover correctly. I will be replacing these nuts with rivet nuts to provide a more secure mount. Otherwise, the cover looks great and provides the security and look I was hoping for.

The directions are kind of universal. And there are some gaskets that really don’t fit in well. But overall it withstands the laser wash moths extremely minor leaks. Just 1. The Velcro is strong.

Looks good / Good customer service
I put one on my F350 in January. This one went on my Maverick. Easy installation, low profile looks good. I would buy again. The fabric had a blemish out of the box. Truxedo sent replacement fabric very quickly.
