Ford went to an aluminum body for this F-150, and owners who care about that tend to care about the bed as well. A patented arrangement of rails and clamps locates it on the bed, automatic slam latches lock down every panel as it closes, and the panels themselves are premium-grade matte black aluminum over a high-density polymer core rated to 400 lb evenly distributed. Fold it forward to the cab, secure it there, and the truck is rated to be driven with the bed wide open. This is part UX22019, the Ultra Flex built for the 2015-2020 Ford F-150 / F-150 Raptor with the 5'7" (67.1") bed.

Features
A Patented Rail And Clamp System The rails and clamps that locate the Ultra Flex on the bed are UnderCover's own patented design, and the clamps are the close-fitting type the brand credits for keeping water out. They pull the rails down onto the bed rail rather than bolting through it, and they are also what you go back to if anything ever needs re-tightening.
Slam Latches Lock Down Every Panel Automatic slam latches secure each panel as the cover closes and re-engage by themselves every time, so there is no manual clamp to work and no step to forget. Gear stays out of sight without a second operation, which is the thing that decides whether a cover gets closed properly on a wet Tuesday.
Drive With The Cover Folded Open Fold the panels forward to the cab, secure them there, and UnderCover rates the truck to be driven with the cover fully open. That is 100% bed access whenever you want it, so an awkward load does not force you to strip the cover off the truck and find somewhere to store it.
Tip-and-Click Goes On In 30 Minutes UnderCover quotes its redesigned Tip-and-Click mounting system as a one-person job, graded Level 1, at 30 minutes or less. No application in the range makes a hole in the truck to hold the cover on. Wherever drilling does appear on a sheet it belongs to the drain tubes, and whether it applies is decided by your platform.
Proven At 180°F And 40 Below UnderCover tested the Ultra Flex from -40°F to 180°F and up to 95% humidity, and tested it for 7,500 hours. It is the only cover in the folding range the brand publishes a test figure for, which matters most if the truck lives outside in a real winter.
A Polymer Core Under Matte Aluminum The panels are premium-grade matte black aluminum over a high-density polymer core, which is the structural difference between this cover and the cheaper folding models. The exclusive soft-impact underside adds a padded layer facing the bed, so shifting cargo meets something forgiving instead of bare metal.
400 lb Spread Across The Closed Cover Closed, the Ultra Flex is rated for 400 lb so long as the load sits evenly. That is a winter of snow, a couple of sheets lying flat, or luggage strapped down for a long haul. Stack it all onto one panel and the rating stops applying.
Five-Year Limited Warranty Five years from the date of purchase, against the three UnderCover gives its entry folding covers. Keeping it valid is not onerous: wash with mild automotive soap and water, and keep oils, solvents and lubricants well away from the rubber.

Installation
Type: Tip-and-Click clamp-on side rails, no hole drilled in the truck to mount the cover · Time: 30 minutes or less · Tools: Scissors or utility knife, Isopropyl alcohol, 1/2" Wrench or socket, Phillips screwdriver, 5/8" Drill bit & drill · Difficulty: Level 1: Simple Installation
Tight-fit clamps hold the two side rails against the inner faces of your bed rails, and the cover then tips and clicks down onto them. Square is the thing to get right: set both rails at a right angle to the bed rails before pulling the clamps tight, because the slam latches at the tailgate end have no adjustment and will not seat on rails that are out of true. If a rear latch stops catching months later, look at the rails first. UnderCover wants the clamps re-checked after roughly a week of driving, which is usually when a rail that has settled gives itself away.
The drain tubes can be routed behind a bedliner, through the factory bed plugs, or through a 5/8" hole if you prefer to drill one. None of those three routes is needed to hold the cover on.
Side-rail clamp bolts, with a 1/2" wrench or socket: 10 ft-lb
Warranty. The Ultra Flex carries a five (5) year limited hassle-free warranty running from the original date of purchase. It covers the first owner only, does not pass to whoever buys the truck next, and proof of purchase may be asked for. Four of the conditions are the ones that actually catch people out. Snow, ice and any other foreign material has to be cleared off before the cover is opened. The cover has to be secured at every point any time the vehicle is moving. If the truck is going to be towed from the rear, the cover comes off first and gets stored properly. And all clamps and retention mechanisms want checking for tightness roughly a week after fitting, then from time to time afterwards. On cleaning, mild automotive soap and water is the entire list: oils, solvents and lubricants can attack the rubber, and that damage is not covered. Free shipping. This cover ships free within the contiguous United States as an oversized package rather than a freight shipment. Inspect on delivery. This cover travels as an oversized parcel rather than on a pallet, in a long flat carton that meets any knocks before the cover does. Give the box a proper look while the driver is still outside. Crushing, tears or a punctured corner belong on the delivery paperwork there and then, and a message to us that same day gets it put right.
About UnderCover
UnderCover is part of the RealTruck group of truck accessory brands and builds hard folding and one-piece bed covers for full-size and mid-size pickups. Its hard folding covers are assembled in the USA, in Missouri. The Ultra Flex is covered by a five year limited warranty on the cover, dated from the original purchase, and warranty registration and replacement parts are handled by the manufacturer.
Ultra Flex is the current generation of UnderCover's hard folding cover and the one built around the newest mechanism. A patented rail and clamp system locates it on the bed, automatic slam latches lock every panel as it closes, and the cover folds forward to the cab for full bed access with a rating to drive it folded. Its seals are tested from -40°F to 180°F and to 95% humidity, and installation is quoted at 30 minutes or less. ArmorFlex matches the same five year term and adds the Multi-Shield coated panel face if finish matters more to you than mechanism. Flex is the gloss black cover below it, and Select is the entry point at the lowest load rating in the range. The one-piece alternative is a single rigid lid rather than folding panels: Elite and SE in matte black, Elite LX and LUX unpainted or factory painted to an OEM paint code.
The Ultra Flex is built differently from the rest of the folding range. A premium-grade matte black aluminum surface sits over a high-density polymer core, and an exclusive soft-impact underside puts a padded layer between the cover and whatever is sliding around in the bed. Reworked seals and close-fitting clamps close it down, and the Tip-and-Click mounting system is designed to be fitted by one person. Nothing is drilled into the truck to mount it, and closed it is rated to 400 lb evenly distributed.
Prestige Truck is an authorized UnderCover dealer. Every cover we ship is new, in the factory carton, and covered by UnderCover's warranty direct from the manufacturer.

Fold It To The Cab And Drive
Full bed access on the Ultra Flex is not a two-thirds position. Fold the panels forward to the cab, secure them there, and UnderCover rates the truck to be driven with the cover fully open, so a load that will not go under a lid no longer means leaving the cover at home. A patented arrangement of rails and clamps is what holds it in either state, and the slam latches re-engage on their own the moment you fold it back down. On a truck that works for a living that is the difference between a cover you use all year and one you take off in April and hunt for again in October.

Tested Through Heat, Cold And Humidity
UnderCover ran the Ultra Flex from -40°F to 180°F and up to 95% humidity, and tested it for 7,500 hours. Those are the brand's own figures, and the Ultra Flex is the only folding cover it publishes test numbers for at all. Underneath the matte black surface the panels are premium-grade aluminum over a high-density polymer core, with an exclusive soft-impact underside that puts a padded layer between the cover and whatever is sliding around in the bed. Closed, those panels take up to 400 lb, provided the load is spread rather than stacked in one place.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Will it keep my bed dry in heavy rain?
Highly water resistant, yes. Waterproof is a word UnderCover does not use about it, and neither will we. What the brand actually claims here is fit rather than drainage: reworked seals and close-fitting clamps that pull the cover hard down onto the bed rail, tested from -40°F to 180°F and up to 95% humidity. There is no published drainage specification for the Ultra Flex at all, so do not picture a sealed drain system quietly doing the work behind those seals. Every tri-fold has joints where its panels meet and a seam at the bulkhead, and heavy sustained rain, a pressure washer, or a bed slightly out of square will find them. Most applications do put drain tubes in the carton, routed out of the bed as part of the install, and the sheet for your own truck shows where yours go. Buy it to keep the weather off the bed. Anything that genuinely cannot get damp deserves a sealed box of its own.
How hard is the install, and do I have to drill?
No Ultra Flex application makes a hole in the truck to hold the cover on. UnderCover grades it Level 1 and quotes 30 minutes or less for one person on its Tip-and-Click system: rails on, clamps down onto the bed rail, cover clicked into place. Where a drill turns up on a tools list it belongs to the drain tubes rather than to the mounting, and which of those applies is a per-truck question. Every Tacoma and Tundra application has a sheet that does call for the hole. Most other beds let the tubes run behind a liner or drop through plugs that are already there. The Ram Multifunction Tailgate beds ship with no drain tubes in the kit at all. There is also one outlier worth knowing before you order rather than after: on the Jeep Gladiator, installation permanently cuts the plastic bed cap. Follow the sheet packed with your own part, since clamp positions, torque and drain routing are all set per platform.
How does it behave in snow and ice?
Get the snow and ice off the panels before you try to open them. UnderCover writes that into its warranty conditions rather than leaving it as advice: the cover has to be free of all foreign materials, snow and ice included, before opening, and levering frozen panels apart is how seals tear and latches bend. Left closed, a snow load is fine inside the 400 lb evenly distributed figure. Cold is also the one area where this family has published test data behind it, from -40°F up to 180°F and to 95% humidity across 7,500 hours, which tells you what the seals were built to survive without promising anything about your particular February. Every rubber seal goes stiff once it is cold enough, so expect a cover left out overnight to work harder than a summer one, and wipe the rail so the slam latches have something clean to seat on.
Will the latches work reliably, and what if my bed is not square?
There is nothing at the rear of this cover to adjust. The slam latches grab each panel automatically as it comes down and re-engage themselves every time, so the setting that decides everything is made earlier, at the rails. Both have to sit at a right angle to the bed rails before the clamps are pulled tight. Out-of-true rails are the usual reason a rear latch stops catching, and the remedy is at the rail, not at the latch. UnderCover asks in its warranty conditions for all clamps and retention mechanisms to be checked for tightness roughly a week after fitting and at intervals from then on, which is worth doing even when nothing feels loose, since a rail can migrate slightly as the clamps bed in. Be clear on one point before you buy: UnderCover publishes no lock type for the Ultra Flex. You get latches holding the panels shut and a release inside the bed, not a keyed cylinder.
Will it clear my bed rails, bedliner, rail caps or cargo lights?
Your part number settles most of it, so start with the qualifier printed in this listing's title. Several factory bed options get an Ultra Flex part of their own instead of a shared one: Nissan's Utili-Track, Toyota's Deck Rail System, the RamBox with its silver cargo rails, and the Ram Multifunction Tailgate. A part built for one of those will not sit correctly on a plain bed, and the plain-bed part will not sit correctly on one of those. The rest comes down to whatever already lives on the inner face of your bed rail, because that is exactly where the clamps grip. A drop-in liner whose lip folds over the rail, aftermarket rail caps, tie-down track or a light bar bolted along the inside can all leave a clamp nowhere to land, and where a liner is fitted the drain tubes have to be threaded behind or through it. Nothing in this family is built for a CarbonPro bed. No clearance figure is published for the cover, so if your bed rail carries accessories, get a tape on them first.
How much does it weigh, and can I remove it alone?
Across the range the carton leaves at somewhere between 70 lb and 100 lb, the long-bed parts being heaviest. Read that as packaging plus cover and not as the cover alone: no figure is published for the bare cover, and the manufacturer's own answer to the question is that it varies with the truck. For fitting, UnderCover rates this a one-person job at 30 minutes or less, and the difficulty is the height of the bed rail rather than what you are carrying, so a helper saves more time than muscle. Removal is worth thinking about before you buy. The Flex is the model UnderCover sells on coming off in seconds without tools, and it makes no such claim for the Ultra Flex, so budget for an installation in reverse. The compensation is that you rarely need to bother. Folded to the cab and secured, this cover is rated to stay on the truck while you drive with the bed wide open.
