The Weather Guard 627-0-02 is the compact 24" underbed box in lightweight aluminum, for adding locking storage to the frame rail without steel's weight. The welded diamond-plate body is 18" deep and holds 4.3ft³ behind a weathertight drop-down door, a right-sized spot for chains, straps or a service kit on a flatbed, platform or dump body. Aluminum resists rust and road salt and the bright clear ARMOR TUF finish cleans up fast, while the short 24" footprint leaves rail for a second box or tank. Mounting hardware is not included, so you can match it to your frame.

The drop door adjusts from 90 to 180 degrees and pops off with QuickClips, no tools required, so you can drop it flat, use it as a loading shelf, or remove it entirely for full access and clip it back on in seconds.

The standard 18" deep body mounts on the frame rail below a flatbed, platform, service or dump body, so heavy tools and equipment ride secure and out of the way while your deck or bed stays open. Gloved-Hand D-Handle and a Wide Door Opening
The drop door opens wide, so long tools and cases go in from the side of the deck instead of being lifted over a lip. Weather Guard fits a stainless steel D-handle that is easy to grip with gloves on and pulls the door tight against the seal, and the door itself drops level on its chains to work as a shelf.

Installation

Choose a clear spot on the frame rail below the deck with room for the door to drop open, then mount the box to the frame using brackets and hardware rated for the load (not included). Support the box while you fasten it, and seal any drilled holes with zinc-rich primer to prevent rust. Because the box hangs below the deck, use hardware and brackets sized for the weight of the box plus its contents.

Compliance. Mounting brackets and hardware are not included with this underbed box. Because the box mounts on the vehicle frame and carries load below the deck, use mounting hardware and brackets rated for the combined weight of the box and its contents, and confirm clearance so the drop-down door can open safely.
