Features
- Rides 1-1/2" Above the Bed: The LiteRider sits 1-1/2" over the bed rails, the same height as the Original, and Access says that rise leaves a little more room for cargo under the cover. Black aluminum bars and side rails carry silver bows: two on most beds, three on most long beds.
- Rolls to the Cab, Clipped: One person can roll the cover up toward the cab and open the whole bed. Quick Clip nylon straps with buckles hold the roll behind the cab, and Access says that is all it takes to hitch a fifth wheel.
- No-Drill Tight Bite Clamps: Six toothed clamps bite into grooves on the side rails and hold them inside the bed walls, with no drilling on most trucks. A few trucks bolt on or need a special sheet instead; the child page names it.
- AutoLatch Plus a Slide Lock: Pull the cord on the driver side to free the rear bar; press the bar down to close and the AutoLatch catches by itself. On the passenger side, a slide lock beneath the rear bar pushes in to lock and pulls out to open.
- EZ-Dial Tension, No Tools: Hand dials on the front bar take up slack as the vinyl settles in. Turn both the same amount, counterclockwise to tighten. Access says a cover kept drum tight runs quieter, lasts longer and is less likely to hold standing water.
- Sealed on All Four Sides: Front and rear vinyl seals, foam on both side rails and corner seals at the front wall close off the bed, and a 1-1/2" hook-and-loop strip seals each side for its full length. It is weather-resistant, not waterproof; Access notes some moisture and dust can still get in.

How is the LiteRider different from the Original?
Both ride 1-1/2" above the bed rails with a Slantback rear bar and a 1-1/2" hook-and-loop strip. Access calls the LiteRider its best-value cover: it has one AutoLatch released from the driver side plus a passenger-side slide lock, EZ-Dial adjusters, silver bows, Quick Clip straps, the bulkhead gasket as an option and a 3-year warranty. The Original adds AutoLatch II latches you release from either side, XT-Dial adjusters, an all-black frame, a standard Element Seal gasket and 5 years of cover.
Will it keep rain and snow out of the bed?
It is built to keep most of it out: seals at the front and rear, foam between the rails and the bed, corner seals at the front wall and hook-and-loop down both sides. Access's own sheet says no cover stops all moisture and dust, so wrap cargo that must stay dry and seal any factory holes or stake pockets. Brush snow off before you roll it up.
Does the cover lock?
The AutoLatch catches every time you close the cover, and the passenger-side slide lock beneath the rear bar adds a second hold; pull it out before you open the cover. Access says that with a locking tailgate the bed becomes a secure unit. It is a deterrent rather than a safe, so don't leave valuables in an unattended truck.
Will it work with my bed liner?
Usually, yes. Access lists spray-in liners, bed mats and most under-the-rail drop-in liners as compatible. Its sheet says an under-the-rail drop-in needs a little trimming at the front corners and near the tailgate, while an over-the-rail drop-in needs a lot more. On a spray-in liner, smoothing the front wall helps the corner seals stick.

Here's the short version. Follow Access's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact clamp positions, plus any special sheet your truck needs.
- Clamp the side rails. Set each rail with its weather strip against the inside lip of the bed, pushed forward to the front wall with the nylon strike at the tailgate end (long beds join the two rail sections first). Hold the front flush with the top of the bed, then clamp near the front, at the middle and by the tailgate with the teeth in the rail grooves and the rail level, and torque every clamp to 20 ft-lb or the value on your truck's special sheet.
- Stick on the front corner seals. With the air and surface above 60°F, wipe the top of the front wall with the alcohol pad and keep the pad for the next step. Peel and stick a seal in each front corner, just ahead of the rail, with the raised side against the inside edge of the bed.
- Add the rear seals. Wipe the underside of each rail end with the saved pad and hold a seal so its end meets the edge of the bed. Mark and notch the seal's leg, then stick a seal to the tailgate end of both rails.
- Attach the tension adjusters. Set the pre-rolled cover on the tailgate with the front bar facing up. Thread the left (L) and right (R) adjusters onto the front bar with their bolts and flat washers, and leave both loose.
- Mount the cover to the rails. Set the cover at the front of the bed and roll the front bar onto the rails, tucking the vinyl flap under it, with the alignment tabs against the front wall. Bolt each adjuster under its rail without turning the dial, center the front bar so the gap is equal on both sides, then tighten the adjuster bolts with each support tab under its rail.
- Close, check and fine-tune. Unroll the cover, set the rear bar in the strikes and press it down. Close the tailgate slowly and raise or lower the rails at the rear until it sits snug under the rear bar, then re-check each clamp's torque from the cab back. The bar should snap shut with no sag between the bows; if not, roll the cover open, turn both dials the same amount (counterclockwise tightens) and seal both sides with the hook-and-loop.

I love the way this looks. I was truly afraid that it wouldn't end up looking like it does in the photos, but it does. The bracket really pulls the cover tight so that there are no wrinkles or waves in it. It doesn't make any noise when I drive at any speed, and it protects cargo from the weather nicely. I'm extremely happy with it. The pictures in the instructions could have been a little better, but installation was still quick and easy. This is the second LiteRider that I have had and the only cover for me. Fits perfectly on my 2014 GMC Sierra and on my new 2019. I really like the looks and ease of rolling open and closed. I also like that it sits just above the bed rails and gives me about an extra inch of bed space. Because it mounts between the rails, I still have access to the rear stake pockets to use as a handle to step into the truck bed (as GM intended). Great product, good price and fast shipping.

Santa Cruz owners beware!
The designer of this cover failed to consider fitment on the Santa Cruz. The cover is designed to be rolled up behind the cab and secured with straps. The straps are for safely traveling when the cover is rolled up. If you look at the rear cab of the Santa Cruz you will notice the roof pillars move inward towards the top of the roof. So the distance between pillars is less as you go up. This means the cover WILL NOT ROLL UP behind the cab. When rolled to its max there is still about 15" to the back window. That is a lot with a bed length of 4'3”. And the safety straps WILL NOT snap. They are not long enough to reach. I notified the manufacturer and they are not concerned and will not offer a fix to the problem. This is not pointed out in the description of the listing. If I had known I would not have purchased this cover. Also, the installation instructions may be good for a full size…

Bought this for a 2020 Silverado, this isn’t my first tonneau cover from this particular company, I had one on my ‘07 Silverado and wanted to go with something I knew was a quality product. Installation was very easy, took maybe 90 minutes doing it by myself. The quality of the cover is very good and should last a good long time. Shipping was great, very quick. This fit a 2000 f150 with the step side bed. This bed curves a bit on the side rails and the Lite Rider easily conformed and looks great. I did secure the rails at the tailgate with a couple of sheet metal screws to stabilize it so it fit securely to the gate. Rolls up easily, works as stated. Installed it alone in about 35 minutes, but as usual an extra pair of hands would help. Good product!

The instructions where a little hard to follow due to the Ram Box in my truck. We didn't notice the separate cut sheet for how to install this until later. But once we found it, it was smooth sailing. Very great product thus far. Has kept the back of my truck clean and dry. My only gripe with it so far is, i have to really slam my tailgate shut in order to get it closed, because the cover blocks it slightly.

The cover looks good, but performance? I am not happy with the fit. As you drive down the road it takes in air and flaps. The fit around the tailgate is also not good a big gap. I am actually ready to take my loss and replace it.

dirt covers the truck bed
dirt covers the truck bed when this cover is on. Apparently dirt from the road comes up the bed and is trapped by cover. Anything you put in there is covered with dirt and dust.

Great cover. Installs quickly and is very tight. Only complaint, weather strip kept working out of place. I had to cut it out. (I know the covers are not water tight anyway.)

Location for drilling holes was
Location for drilling holes was not correct! I had read that in a review but forgot during install. At least I caught it before I had done both sides. You need to send different instructions for Stepside box!

Good cover, fits well. Instruction could be better and are not designed for the Honda Ridgeline. Luckily, I found a YouTube from another customer who did an install earlier video to help

Very good cover
Installation went fine until placing the corner weather seals. Picture was poor and no indication that the pieces are specific to location. The cover material is good but quality than the more expensive options. Strongly recommend and will buy again for next truck.

Great cover, awful installation instructions
If you're like me and found out after purchasing your new Ridgeline that you cover wouldn't fit, this top is for you. It fits great and is a very good value. The rollup can be a bit of a pain, but if you only open it once in awhile it's no big deal. Highly recommend!
