Here's the short version. Follow AMP Research's install guide (below) for your truck's exact mounting points, wiring and torque settings.

  1. Use it with the 75154-01A guide. This sheet stands in for part of the 75154-01A PowerStep install guide and tells you where to pick that guide back up when you finish.
  2. Mount the controller and connect power. Remove the power fuse. Mount the controller to the support arm next to the battery with the two 11" cable ties, plug in the harness so the locking tabs engage, then connect the red power lead to the battery's positive pole and the ground lead to the negative pole.
  3. Route the harness. Run the long end above the engine and down through the driver-side wheel well, tied to the cowling clips on the firewall, and the short end down the passenger side.
  4. Pass the wires into the cab. Pull up the carpet, drill a 9/32" hole and fit the supplied rubber grommet; seal the hole with silicone and tape it so the carpet doesn't stick. Route the harness along the frame toward the rear linkages and push both wires through the grommets.
  5. Connect the OBD-II module. Join the module to the harness with the supplied Posi-Twist connectors, matching wire colors, plug it into the truck's OBD-II port and secure the harness with the supplied tie wraps. If you also bought the 76404-01A pass-through harness, follow its own sheet.

Wire for motor steps

The connection pieces must have changed because they didn’t fit. I called them and let them know they gave two more companies that might have them. They sent my return label with simple instructions and I received full refund. Just sorry they didn’t match but over all service and products were delivered.

Great kit!!!

Great kit and super easy to install, especially with the OBD plug. It's also nice when you don't want the steps to deploy, just simply unplug it from the OBD plug.

perfect on my 2013 f-250 xl

I bought this wiring to install some original Ford step boards. It worked perfectly, very good finish on the connectors and all the wiring is protected.
