ARB's modular take on the BASE Rack splits the platform into two identical welded sections that bolt together on the roof. Each section is extruded aluminum with the same cross beam structure, internal bracing and zero flex under load as the one piece racks, and the same dovetail extrusion around the perimeter and along each internal beam. Splitting the deck cuts the shipping cost and makes it a rack one person can actually carry up a ladder, without giving up the strength or the low profile fit that keeps it tucked close to the roof line.

Read this before you order: this listing is one 30.5" x 51" section, and ARB states that two sections are required to complete one full rack. Buying a single section gets you half a rack. On top of that, the sections still need an ARB BASE Rack vehicle mount kit, sold separately, to attach to the roof at all.

Two Piece Rack, One Piece Strength
Each section is fully welded from extruded aluminum with the cross beam structure and internal bracing ARB uses on the one piece racks, so joining two sections gives the same zero flex deck.

Two Sections Make One Rack
ARB is explicit that two of these sections are required to complete a full rack. The modular split exists to cut freight cost and make the parts manageable, not to sell you a half size rack.

Installation

Join the two sections first, then set the assembled rack onto the vehicle mount kit and torque to ARB's figures. A single person can lift each section, which is the practical reason the modular version exists.

Warranty. ARB covers this product with a 3-year, unlimited mileage warranty through ARB North America (Air Locker Inc., Auburn, WA). ARB's own schedule puts wear items such as bushes, bearings, shackles, pins and U-bolts on a shorter 1-year term. We describe ARB's warranty exactly as ARB publishes it rather than restating or extending it, and it is honored through any ARB-authorized dealer in the US.

Free shipping. This item ships free to the lower 48 states. Because it is an oversized item, it ships by freight and typically arrives in 3 to 7 business days.

Inspect on delivery. Please inspect the packaging before signing. If you see any damage, note it on the delivery receipt and contact us right away, and we will make it right.
