ARB's brushless range is the first real redesign of its compressors in years, and the headline is 50 percent more output than the brushed unit it sits above. This single motor portable model delivers 4.59 CFM at free flow and 3.10 CFM at 29 psi, with a fan in each motor and compressor assembly actively cooling it rather than relying on airflow past the housing.

The brushless motor is only half the story. Electronic speed control holds performance across the whole pressure and ambient temperature range, the unit constantly monitors itself and adjusts for temperature and for variations in the vehicle charging system, and it reports faults through audio and visual alerts instead of just stopping. Voltage and overload protection guards against spikes, drops, overcurrent and motor stalls. Sealing is IP67 water resistant, a step above the IP55 of the brushed range. The portable kit adds a polarity correction harness, so either alligator clamp can go on either battery terminal, plus a 20 ft air hose, an inflation tire chuck and a blow gun.

Clamp to the battery terminals. The polarity correction harness means either clamp can go on either terminal, but the current draw of up to 45 A still means clamping to the battery rather than to any accessory socket.
