Description & Fitment
The Squadron-R Racer Edition is a single 3" Baja Designs Squadron-series pod with a round bezel and the Racer spot beam, the tightest beam in the Squadron line, made for high-speed night driving where you need to see far down the road (Lighting Zone 5). Baja Designs rates it at 2,800 lumens from 45.54 W and recommends adding it to a balanced lighting setup. A wiring harness is not included (Baja Designs harness 640117 fits). Will the Squadron-R Racer Edition pod fit my vehicle?
It is universal, not tied to one vehicle. The housing is 3.07" x 3.07" x 2.77" and Baja Designs includes stainless mounting hardware. Check the space where you plan to mount it, and ask us if you want a vehicle-specific bracket.
Does it come with a wiring harness?
No. Baja Designs sells this pod without a harness; its 640117 harness is the one it lists for this light.
Squadron or Squadron 2.0?
Squadron 2.0 is Baja Designs' redesign: new optics, a 4-pin Deutsch connector and a color-selectable backlight. Squadron 2.0 lights need Squadron 2.0 harnesses and lens kits.
Are Squadron pods street legal?
Only the Squadron SAE pairs, which Baja Designs builds to the SAE J583 fog standard. Its Sport, Pro and Racer pods are rated for off-road use only.
Can I change the lens later?
On the off-road pods, yes: Baja Designs' uService design takes a Squadron lens kit. Squadron 2.0 pods use their own lens kits.
What does the warranty cover?
Baja Designs' limited lifetime warranty for recreational use covers defects in design and manufacturing; details are in the warranty tile.

Warranty
Baja Designs backs its LED light bars and auxiliary lights with a limited lifetime warranty for recreational use.- Recreational automotive and off-road use: limited lifetime or 49,930 hours of operation, whichever comes first. Commercial use (agriculture, industrial, mining and public safety): 5 years or 49,930 hours. The term starts on the date the product ships.
- Coverage is for defects in design and manufacturing, for the original owner with proof of purchase or product registration. Baja Designs repairs or replaces the product or issues credit, at its option, and may substitute a similar product of comparable value if the original is no longer made.
- Not covered: installation errors, wear and tear, acts of God, misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, collisions, and any modification or combination Baja Designs did not perform. Labor to remove or reinstall a warranty part is not paid.
- Brackets, wiring harnesses and switches that Baja Designs resells carry their own maker's warranty, which Baja Designs passes through to you.
- A claim starts with Baja Designs technical support, who troubleshoot first; if a part has to come back, they issue an RMA number, and Baja Designs covers return freight when the defective part is sent back within 90 days of delivery.
- Baja Designs also gives a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on its LED lights, light bars and LED lighting accessories; a dealer purchase is returned through the dealer, in new, resalable condition.

Inspect on delivery
Open the carton when it arrives and check every light, bracket, harness and hardware bag against the kit contents before you start. Report shipping damage or a missing part right away, before anything is mounted. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
