ATAK Mid-Sections replace the factory mufflers and center piping on performance trucks while keeping the factory tail pipes, or Borla tail pipes sold separately, at the back. They deliver Borla's most aggressive sound level with no drone inside the cab, built from mandrel-bent T-304 stainless steel.
Tail pipes and tips are not part of this assembly; it pairs with the factory tail pipes or with Borla tail pipes or tips sold separately, and installation is not included.
Features
The heart of the exhaust
A Mid-Section replaces the mufflers and center piping, where most of the exhaust sound is shaped, and hands off to the tail pipes behind it.
Works with factory tail pipes
Each assembly connects to the truck's original tail pipes, or to Borla tail pipes sold separately if you want a new look at the back.
Most aggressive Borla sound
ATAK is the highest sound level Borla makes, a full and aggressive note shaped by tuned solid and perforated muffler cores.
No drone in the cab
Borla states that every ATAK Mid-Section in this group stays free of drone inside the vehicle.
Mandrel-bent T-304 stainless steel
Mandrel bends keep the tube round through each curve, and T-304 austenitic stainless steel stands up to heat and road salt better than 409 or aluminized steel.
Covered by the Million-Mile Warranty
Material and workmanship defects are covered for the original buyer on the original truck; valves, actuators and finishes carry a one-year term.
Fitment & Compatibility

Installation
Type: Mid-Section exhaust assembly · Install: vehicle-specific; method varies by application · Tools: listed on the Borla install sheet
An ATAK Mid-Section goes in between the catalytic converters and the tail pipes, then reconnects to the factory tail pipes or to Borla tail pipes. Some trucks need a factory pipe cut or additional steps for active exhaust valves, so the fit notes and install sheet are the guide.
Warranty, Shipping & Returns
Warranty. Borla covers its products under the Million-Mile Warranty, which protects the original purchaser of record, on the vehicle the part was first installed on, against defects in materials or workmanship for a million miles. Carbon fiber, black coatings, tip finishes and moving parts such as valves and actuators carry a one-year term, and appearance blemishes from weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance or temperature extremes are not covered. When Borla's inspection confirms a defect, Borla repairs or replaces the part at its option. The warranty does not pay for removal or reinstallation, does not apply to parts damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication or modification, and does not cover sound level, because sound is a matter of taste. Shipping. The carrier and ship method are set by the size and weight of the carton when the order is placed; long exhaust systems ship in oversize cartons. Inspect on delivery. When the carton arrives, open it and check every pipe, muffler, clamp and hanger against the parts list before you start the install, and report any shipping damage right away with photos.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About Borla
Borla began in 1978 building stainless exhaust systems for concours Rolls-Royce and Ferrari restorations, and the company has grown into a leading name in stainless performance exhaust for cars and trucks.
Each Borla system starts as a clean-sheet design for one vehicle. Engineers at the research and development center in Oxnard, California shape the muffler bodies, internal cores and flow paths around that platform's own mechanical and acoustic traits, then offer the result in a choice of Touring, S-Type or ATAK sound.
Production happens at a 100-acre plant in Johnson City, Tennessee, where raw stainless steel is cut, bent, welded and shipped. Borla also supplies factory-installed accessory exhaust to automakers such as GM, Ford and Toyota.
