Features
- Two Thirds of the Bed, Open: Unlatch the two rear clamps and fold the cover up toward the cab, and about two thirds of the bed opens up. Two built-in buckle straps hold it folded so you can drive that way; Extang asks that both straps are buckled and the tethers stay attached, and never a half-open cover on the road.
- Self-Locking Rear Clamps: EZ-Lock clamps at the tailgate end are spring-loaded. They stow in the cover rail, swing down to hook under the bed rail and lock themselves once they're clamped, then release by hand when you want to fold the cover.
- Off in Seconds, No Drilling: Jaw-Grip front clamps hold the cab end with no holes in the truck. When a load needs the whole bed, loosen them by hand and lift the cover out; putting it back on takes no tools either.
- Aluminum Frame, MaxHinges: The frame and support bars are aluminum with a textured black EnduraCoat finish. Every fold turns on a MaxHinge with two pivot points, which Extang uses to strengthen the joints and help them seal.
- Snap-On Triple-Fin Seals: Triple-fin seals snap on, with no adhesive, along the bed rails, bulkhead and tailgate. Extang says they exceed OEM standards, and a damaged seal can be replaced. Like any soft folding cover it resists weather but is not watertight.
- Leather-Grain Vinyl Top: The tarp is heavy-duty leather-grain vinyl with clean, rounded lines and a low profile. A patented corner-tuck system keeps it tight, so it doesn't sag as the temperature swings. Want canvas instead? That's the Trifecta Signature 2.0.

Sized for the 6'6" bed of the 1994-2001 Dodge Ram 1500 and 2500, part 92570 is Extang's vinyl soft tri-fold cover that sits low along the bed rails. It is aimed at drivers who want a covered bed without drilling, with two buckle straps to keep it folded at the cab when bigger cargo goes in. Two spring-loaded rear clamps lock it down and release by hand to open it. Replaceable snap-on triple-fin seals and a limited lifetime warranty from Extang round it out.

How do I measure my bed?
Measure inside the bed floor from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate. Extang lists this bed as 6'6". Truck makers often round their bed names, so compare the measurement, not the name.
What is the difference between the Trifecta 2.0 and the Trifecta Signature 2.0?
The tarp. Both share the aluminum frame, MaxHinges, Jaw-Grip and EZ-Lock clamps and the snap-on triple-fin seals. The Trifecta 2.0 uses leather-grain vinyl; the Signature 2.0 swaps it for heavy-duty canvas.
Will it keep rain and snow out of the bed?
It is built to. Snap-on triple-fin seals run along the bed rails, bulkhead and tailgate, and Extang calls the vinyl tarp moisture-resistant. Like every soft folding cover it is weather-resistant rather than watertight. Brush snow and ice off before you fold it; Extang's warranty requires that.
Can I drive with it folded open?
Yes. Stow the rear clamps in the cover rail, fold the cover all the way to the cab and fasten both buckle straps with the tethers attached; about two thirds of the bed is then open. Never drive with it partly folded.
How do I take it off for a big load?
Loosen the Jaw-Grip front clamps by hand and lift the cover out of the bed. No tools are needed to take it off or put it back. Trucks whose sheet adds clamp brackets keep the brackets on.

Here's the short version. Follow Extang's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact clamp positions and hardware.
- Check the bed caps. If a plastic bed-rail cap hangs below the sheet-metal flange, trim away enough of it with a utility knife that each clamp bites on bare metal. Extang names 2004-2014 and 2021 F-150s and 2009-2019 Rams as the usual cases. Don't cut or scrape the bed itself.
- Set the cover in place. Lay the folded cover over the cab end of the bed, unfold it and shift it until it lines up at the cab and the tailgate, then fold it back up without moving it. Note where the front clamps sit.
- Tighten the front clamps. Seat each Jaw-Grip cab clamp under the metal bed flange (not the bedliner lip or a plastic cap) and turn it by hand until it touches, then two more turns. No wrench, and don't overtighten.
- Close it and latch the rear clamps. With the tailgate down and the front clamps tight, unfold the cover fully. Swing each rear clamp down out of the cover rail, slide it at a slight angle as far out toward the bed rail as it goes, then pull it straight down and let go so it hooks under the metal flange. Latch both sides.
- Attach the tethers. Open the cover. On a bed with plain metal flanges, clamp each tether (it hangs from the cover bow) to the flange and tighten the knob. On a bed with factory cargo rails, slide the supplied block into each rail, pass the tether knob through its lock washer and bracket into the block, move it up to the front bow and tighten. Do both sides.
- Recheck after a week. Re-tighten the front clamps and tethers after your first week of driving, and check them now and then. To drive folded, stow the rear clamps in the rail before you fold the second section, fold it to the cab and buckle both straps.

Extang covers the Trifecta 2.0 with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials or workmanship, starting from the date of purchase.- What's covered: the rails, aluminum components, clamps, bows, hardware and the vinyl covering.
- A defective cover or part is repaired or replaced, at Extang's choice; for discontinued products Extang may substitute a newer model or offer a warranty discount on a full replacement.
- For the original purchaser only, not transferable. Register the cover with Extang, or keep a detailed, dated receipt; contact us for registration help.
- To keep it valid: clean with Extang Tonno Tonic or mild soap and water (no conditioners that contain silicone or petroleum, which dry out and crack vinyl); keep every clamp fastened when driving closed, or drive fully folded with both buckle straps fastened and both tethers attached; never drive with it partly open; don't let cargo press against the tarp; clear snow, ice and debris before folding; stow the rear clamps before folding the second section; re-tighten the front (cab) clamps and tethers after the first week of driving and check them from time to time after that; take the cover off before the truck is towed from the rear.

Disappointed compared to covers owned in the past.
The bulk head seal is not wide enough. The edge of the box behind the window is beveled. The seal falls into the beveled edge if not perfectly placed. The tail gate barely touches the first seal let alone the second. You’re fit compared to the two past covers I have owned is very disappointing.

This used to be a good product
This is still an okay product, but most of it is plastic. The components that are used to cramp the top to the bed of the bed of the truck are cheaply made. Pulling down the handles to slide under the rail, the mechanism does not adjust correctly. The older version worked perfectly every time. This product has stepped backwards in quality.

Ram Box Nightmare
This tonneau cover is exactly what I was looking for! Now that it is on, it is a nice, budget friendly tonneau cover. Now, if you have a 3/4 ton Ram Box, install is not as easy as the video shows. The cover comes with additional rails that have to be attached to your existing side rails. They are supposed to “slide” on with soapy water. Haha Each rail was at least a two beer job! The cover does sit low and looks excellent!

Doesn't lay flat
The rear left corner doesn't seem to sit flush like the right side. Hoping it will self correct over time..... have had the cover off and on several times already, easy to do. suggest you mark where the clamps go for consistency and efficiency when removing/reinstalling the cover.

I wanted a semi to hard cover for the new Tundra, asked the Toyota fam and everyone said 2.0. Install took longer to read than it did to install, super simple and easy. Thought bed rails would be an issue, they make it easier to use. Not 100% water tight, but 95-97% is a fair enough score. Put 6000+ miles on it in a month and this was the first purchase.

Leaky cover
I've had this same kind of cover for my old truck for 10 years and haven't had a single issue. This new cover is a bit disappointing. The locking springs are annoying to set in place. I have an issue with water intruding into my tailgate, and I have a minor defect in my cover, almost like a little bubble.

Extang trifold soft
This is the 4th Extang soft trifold cover I’ve owned. Overall pretty good except the upfront clamps are smaller than my last cover which allows it to shift from where I originally had it tightened. The rear clamps tend to be a little fidgety when clamping. The driverside clamp will not hold down tightly and allows water to come in under the rubber side rail seal. When winter comes I’m sure snow will blow in as well. I don’t think I’d buy another of this brand, especially for the premium price I paid.

It fits my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab new body style perfectly. I was slightly worried that the back wouldn’t snug down right along the tailgate since the clamps sit farther forward than I would like. It comes with 2 sets of brackets you can bolt to your truck so that it does latch down farther back, but I elected to use the existing rails on my truck rather than installing new brackets. I’ve taken it through the car wash 8 times since installing it and I only get minimal drops of water on the tailgate end. Happy with it and would buy it again.

Not what Extang used to be
The rear spring latches constantly stick and when you actually get them to draw tight they do not stay that way. I am always having to mess with them so the cover doesn't flutter. The other thing is that the corner foam seems to always fall off. Luckily I catch it and stick them back on. I do not remember having these problems with my old Extang branded cover. I guess that's what you get when private equity takes over.

I purchased an Extang Trifecta cover for an F 150 Lariat I bought new in 2010. Great cover, never leaked and after 9 years of hot- sunny North Carolina summers was still in good condition. Nice Soft Trifold
I like soft trifold covers for a number of reasons, including that they require no rails, no modifications to the truck, look great, and install remove quickly and easily. I had one on my last truck that was perfect after 10 years of use that was sold as a GM accessory but I suspect was made by this company. This trifold is a quality product and installed in about three minutes. The extra minute over the two it usually takes to put on was adjusting the clamps for the first time. I like the look of it and the updated clamps and straps work better than my old one. It allows you options for how you want to use the truck bed, folded up toward the front of simply removed completely. For less than half the price of a hard trifold and what I think is a better looking tonneau cover, this one is a great choice.

Light duty, slow delivery
Installation was a breeze, thats about all the good. This is an extremely light duty cover. Unlike most similar covers, this on attaches in the middle of the 1st panel to the sides of the bed, not the front/ bulkhead. The front panel can not be lifted, it has to be removed. I will be modifying mine with a piano hinge and some reinforcement to allow the first panel to raise - letting the cover fold flat against the back glass. Use the full bed when needed without having to find somewhere to stow the cover. Shipping took a full month longer than advertised, HD management was nice enough to partially discount it flr my trouble - great staff, great store - mediocre product from a less than stellar 3rd party vendor.

I was hoping that it would keep most of the water out when it rains, but it gets wet inside the bed to where I have to open the tailgate to let it dry out before mold grows. Don't let those weather strips fool you, they don't work. Just a little disappointed for the amount of money I spent on it.

Everything I’d hoped.
I was really drawn to the ease of taking this thing on and off. I wanted it to potentially help with fuel economy, and to keep things in my bed from blowing out or being pilfered, but I also often haul piles of logs and such, so I needed to be able to remove and reinstall it often and easily. In this regard it couldn’t be simpler, no sweat at all. Additionally it feels high quality and looks great.

Not quite right…
2023 Ford F-150 Lightning. I’ve had the cover for about 3 months now, and have leak experience. IMHO, the cover could/should be about 3/4”-1” longer than delivered. Trying to balance the coverage of the seals with the slight arc of the bed at the back of the cab, and getting enough sealing surface at the tailgate is challenging. Again, another inch longer would be ideal. I agree with other reviewers that the spring loaded latches are weaker/cheaper than past models…not as robust or dependable. The hardware at the cab to attach the cover looks great, but I have to check it every month or so because it loosens and does not function as intended. For someone on a budget looking for an entry-level cover, this may work. For everyone else who is looking for a quality cover, you may want to pass this one by. My old one NEVER leaked.

I purchased this as a replacement for my 2012 Trifecta because of hail damage. It fits and looks great,but the rear hold down hooks are very weak and allow for to much flutter driving down the road. I swapped the hold down hooks from my old cover with the new. Much better. They really need to fix that.

Beautiful Tonneau Cober
This cover is an upgrade over the soft folding cover I bought for my previous truck. It doesn’t show the hinge points or supports and the quality of vinyl is heavier than before. As satisfied as I was with the previous cover, I’m doubly pleased with this one.

Newly Purchased
I had one of these on my 2008 F150 and I was extremely happy with my purchase. I recently purchased one for my 2019 chevy and I am not so happy. It is not as well built as the old one and the new one holds water when it rains.

Looks nice however
The clamps do not hold the tonneau cover in place it is not possible to tighten it enough and it always moves. I wish there were better clamps to hold it in place. Very disappointed.

The hardware kit was missing
The hardware kit was missing two washers for the bulkhead accessory rail. I ordered another kit but it also only came with four washers, it kit directions showed six. But with the washers out of but kits I was able to get rail and cover installed. Looks good!

While the fit is good
While the fit is good and the cover material appears to be strong enough for snow load, in my opinion there should be more cross supports, and the hinges and latches more robust as these were the problem areas in my previous Extang Trifecta cover and they appear to be even more lightweight . will have to see how it handles below 0 temps and snow.

Folding Tonneau Cover
The box was damaged and partially open so I was skeptical whether it was damaged. All was good but I had to go online to get the installation instructions. Simple install with attached levers. No tools required. What I don't like is how tight the tailgate end is. It will deteriorate the paint on the tailgate over time. Wish there was an adjustment. Other than that it looks good and performs well. Easy removal if needed. Light weight is a positive.

item was missing a corner piece of foam upon arrival, but I expect customer service to take care of it for me. Spring Levers have just enough power to hold the cover down- I'd like to see it have a tad more spring power.

Great cover, but needs better rear latches
Everything is great on this cover. It’s easy to install and easy to open or remove. My only 2 complaints are that it could be an inch or two longer and in very windy conditions the rear latches become in fastened and the cover jumps around. I had this happen when on the highway when the cover was only 2 months old. Other than this it is built well!

Not what it used to be
I had this same cover on a 21 ram. Held up great and build seems like it was better. Put this new one on my gmc and after a week I had to fold it up and had aluminum shavings along the bed tops. Must have been in the tubes of the tonneau cover and the quick latch don’t seem as sturdy as the older model. Also a f you have the Chevy fold out step tailgate, the grab bar near the back of the bed is exactly where the rear clamp of the cover has to grab. It’s super tight fit. Kinda a pain

2,0 No Upgrade
This is my third trifecta bed cover. The first two were the original. Seems as though the vinyl is made thinner as well as the braces. Flaps more than the old ones ever did. Now has a raised center support looked much cleaner and gave better appearance when it was flat. 2.0 definitely not what I’d consider an upgrade 😟

Indecisive over the original but still a great cover.
Having owned the original and now the 2.0 I can say that I don’t think the 2.0 seals as well in the front and the rear latches are still a little weak in my opinion. It is a beautiful cover though and does its job fairly well. I’m still split on whether I like the latches camming over on the 2.0 now or not. Doesn’t seem to be a downside yet to this new feature. The rear latches can be adjusted with a ratchet though to achieve more tension on the tail of the cover but I couldn’t get the fronts to seat as tightly like the original.

Water puddling on top after rain
I have had this cover for 3 months and every time it rains water puddles on the top between braces. I replaced a 8 year old exrang with this one. I had no issues with water on the older one. I think the problem is when i close it it don't pull tight enough. Ertang is sending me a new one but can't guarantee i wont have the same problem.

Not worth the money spent.
The cover is does not hold up to the rainy weather. Cover started developing ripples length wise. For the price I paid I would of been better going with another brand. I was also misled by the 30 day return policy. It only applies if the cover was never installed. Very disappointed with their return policy.

STEER CLEAR!!!!
On in 5 minutes cheap vinyl and can be cut easily. Sits crooked because the lock tabs bend the truck bed thin metal because you need to keep it tight. Im worried it will fly off at 80 mph. I may get sued at some point. Cheap GARBAGE

2019 Ram Crew Cab
If you like a cover that flaps in the wind then this one is for you. I would not recommend this cover for this reason. I think if it had a support bar in the area that the air is deflected and pushes down on the cover, it may help this problem. I have had other Extang covers and this will probably be my last.

The front corner on the
The front corner on the passenger side doesn't sit down flush with the bed rail. Even though there is a gasket system underneath there is still space for water to enter because of the gap. Maybe the clamps need to be closer to the front of the cover to get a better seal. Not impressed with the clamps at the front and again, the seal they make.

Not what they used to be
After owning these covers for years I switched to another brand. In pure disappointment in the un named brand i went back to an Extang. The cover itself looks ok but the clamps to hold it down are junk and typically do not spring back correctly leaving the cover loose. Next time I will be trying anther brand
