Extang Trifecta ALX Soft Folding Tonneau Cover for 2020-2026 Jeep Gladiator (5' Bed)

Here's the short version. Follow Extang's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact bracket hardware and torque settings.

1. Mount the cab brackets at the bulkhead. Check the hole near the cab. If the hole has a weld nut (VIN BX210534 or older), fit the hex button-head screw and washer through the bracket's upper hole and the T-50 M8 bolt through the lower hole, with a washer and well nut behind. If it is an open hole (VIN BX210535 or newer), set the bulkhead brackets under the bed flange and run the T-45 M8 bolt (upper) and T-50 M8 bolt (lower) into them. Torque each to 12.9 ft-lb (17.5 Nm), both sides.
2. Set the cover. Take both front clamp knobs off (the clamp rods stay). Lower the folded cover onto the bulkhead and bed rails so the clamp rods slide through the cab brackets, line up both sides and thread the knobs back on, hand-tight. No wrench.
3. Open up the rail caps. If the bed-rail caps aren't already trimmed at the tailgate end, cut along the scribed lines to expose the mounting area.
4. Fit the strikers and square up. At the tailgate, fix the driver and passenger striker brackets (loop toward the tailgate) to the bed with a slide block between, using the T-30 screws with washers. Close the tailgate and the cover and check it sits parallel and square; shift it side to side if not.
5. Adjust the latches and rotary knob. Both latches and the knob leave the factory only partly tightened. Lower the rear of the cover, slide each latch until it catches its striker and lock it from underneath with the T-20 wrench. Leave 3/4"-1" of the driver-side cable through the barrel clamp, tighten the knob screws and the barrel-clamp set screws (2.5mm hex), then turn the knob to check both latches let go. Hand tools only, no power tools.
6. Final adjustment and tethers. Loosen the striker screws, pull the cover down to the rail and tailgate, match both sides and retighten to 8 ft-lb (10.8 Nm). Hook each tether onto a bed tie-down.
