The Extang Trifecta Signature 2.0 is a soft folding tonneau cover: a heavy-duty canvas tarp stretched over an aircraft-grade aluminum frame. It is the Trifecta 2.0 with canvas in place of that model's leather-grained vinyl, and the rest of the hardware carries over. Jaw-Grip clamps hold the front, spring-loaded EZ-Lock clamps hold the rear, dual-pivot MaxHinges join the panels and triple-fin seals run the perimeter. Unclip the rear pair and the panels fold toward the bulkhead for about two thirds of the bed. Lift the whole cover off without tools when you need all of it. It sits low on the rails and clamps on with no drilling.

Features

Canvas Instead of Vinyl
The single change from the Trifecta 2.0 is the tarp: canvas rather than leather-grained vinyl. A patented corner tuck plus reworked tension keeps it flat in heat or cold, and Extang rates canvas above conventional marine-grade vinyl for durability.

Four Clamps, Fitted by Hand
Jaw-Grip clamps take the front of the frame and spring-loaded EZ-Lock clamps take the rear, four in all. Each tightens by hand onto the inner bedside, with no tools and nothing drilled. Opening the cover means freeing the rear pair, nothing more.

Triple-Fin Seals Without Adhesive
The seals clip straight onto the frame with no glue and carry on around the whole edge of the cover: across the bulkhead, down both rails and along the tailgate. Extang's stated job for them is holding water out at the frame line.

Fold It Forward, Drive Open
Free the rear clamps and the panels stack toward the bulkhead, uncovering roughly two thirds of the bed. Integrated buckle straps hold the stack so you can drive like that. Both buckles have to be done up before the truck moves.

Aluminum Frame, MaxHinge Pivots
Under the canvas sits an aircraft-grade aluminum frame in textured-black EnduraCoat, stiff without being heavy. Dual-pivot MaxHinges sit at each fold and reinforce the pivot points that fail most often on folding covers, which is where Extang says the durability gain comes from.

Low Profile, No Drilling
The frame rides low on the bed rails for a flat look. Fitting is done by the clamps alone, so the truck itself is never cut or drilled. The same clamps release for tool-free removal when a load needs the full bed.

The Trifecta Signature 2.0 grips the inside of the bed rails with tool-free hardware: Jaw-Grip clamps at the front, spring-loaded EZ-Lock clamps at the rear. Nothing on the truck is drilled or modified, and Extang packs the hardware and the instruction sheet with the cover. Warranty, Shipping & Returns

Warranty. Extang's own paperwork is not consistent on length: the specification block calls it a limited lifetime warranty, while the printed terms state five years against defects in materials or workmanship. Those terms list the bows, clamps, hardware, aluminum components and rails, plus what Extang calls the vinyl covering, a phrase the document never reconciles with this model's canvas tarp. Coverage runs to the original purchaser with a registration on file or a dated receipt, and Extang repairs or replaces at its own discretion once it has issued a return authorization. Accidents, misuse, faulty fitting, wind whip on a loose tarp, silicone conditioners, cargo pushing into the tarp and folding the panels with snow or ice on top all void it.

About Extang

Extang builds soft folding tonneau covers. The Trifecta name covers the whole line: the Trifecta 2.0, this Signature 2.0, the e-Series, the ALX and the Toolbox 2.0. All of them are fabric panels on a folding frame rather than a hard panel, a roll-up or a retractable.

Much of the hardware on the cover is Extang's own design. The front Jaw-Grip clamp and the rear EZ-Lock both mount without tools, MaxHinge is its dual-pivot panel hinge and the triple-fin seal snaps on instead of being glued down. EnduraCoat is the textured black finish on its aluminum frames.

Extang publishes one standard instruction sheet plus separate sheets for the trucks that need a different procedure: the Ridgeline and international models, the Gladiator and the 2024 Ranger onward. It sells Tonno Tonic for cleaning. Its warranty is strict on care: soap and water or Tonno Tonic, no silicone, no cargo touching the tarp, no towing from the rear.
