- Premium Canvas Top: Extang tops the Signature 2.0 with heavy-duty canvas in place of the leather-grain vinyl on the Trifecta 2.0. Extang says the canvas is very durable and less affected by weather, and a patented corner-tuck system keeps the tarp tight in heat or cold.
- Dual-Pivot MaxHinges: Every fold turns on a MaxHinge with two pivot points, which Extang uses to strengthen the joints between sections and help them seal.
- Straps Hold It Open: Fold the cover toward the cab and two built-in buckle straps hold it there, so you can drive with about two thirds of the bed open. Extang's rule: buckle both straps, keep the tethers attached, and never drive with it half open.
- Off in Seconds: When a load needs the whole bed, loosen the Jaw-Grip front clamps by hand and lift the cover out. Putting it on or taking it off needs no tools and no drilling.
- Spring-Loaded Rear Clamps: EZ-Lock clamps at the tailgate end stow in the cover rail, swing down to hook under the bed rail and lock themselves once they're clamped. Release them by hand to fold the cover.
- Snap-On Triple-Fin Seals: Triple-fin seals snap on, with no adhesive, along the bed rails, bulkhead and tailgate. Extang says they exceed OEM standards, and a damaged seal can be replaced. Like any soft folding cover it resists weather but is not watertight.

The Extang Trifecta Signature 2.0 is a soft folding tonneau cover for the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 with the 5'7" bed, without RamBox. It suits owners who want a premium canvas top that folds toward the cab, with straps that hold it open while driving. Spring-loaded rear clamps hold it under the bed rails, and it comes off in seconds when the whole bed is needed. Dual-pivot MaxHinges and snap-on triple-fin seals set it apart, and Extang backs it with a five-year limited warranty.

My Ram has RamBox. Which version do I need?
Not this one; it is for beds without RamBox. RamBox beds take the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 5'7" bed with RamBox and the silver cargo rails (94424).
What is the difference between the Trifecta Signature 2.0 and the Trifecta 2.0?
The tarp. Both share the aluminum frame, MaxHinges, Jaw-Grip and EZ-Lock clamps and the snap-on triple-fin seals. The Signature swaps the Trifecta 2.0's leather-grain vinyl for heavy-duty canvas, which Extang says is more durable and less affected by weather.
Will it keep rain and snow out of the bed?
It is built to. Snap-on triple-fin seals run along the bed rails, bulkhead and tailgate. Like every soft folding cover it is weather-resistant rather than watertight. Brush snow and ice off before you fold it; Extang's warranty requires that.
Can I drive with it folded open?
Yes. Stow the rear clamps in the cover rail, fold the cover all the way to the cab and fasten both buckle straps with the tethers attached; about two thirds of the bed is then open. Never drive with it partly folded.
How do I take it off for a big load?
Loosen the Jaw-Grip front clamps by hand and lift the cover out of the bed. No tools are needed to take it off or put it back.

Here's the short version. Follow Extang's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact clamp positions and hardware.
- Check the bed caps. If a plastic bed-rail cap hangs below the sheet-metal flange, trim away enough of it with a utility knife that each clamp bites on bare metal. Extang names 2004-2014 and 2021 F-150s and 2009-2019 Rams as the usual cases. Don't cut or scrape the bed itself.
- Set the cover in place. Lay the folded cover over the cab end of the bed, unfold it and shift it until it lines up at the cab and the tailgate, then fold it back up without moving it. Note where the front clamps sit.
- Tighten the front clamps. Seat each Jaw-Grip cab clamp under the metal bed flange (not the bedliner lip or a plastic cap) and turn it by hand until it touches, then two more turns. No wrench, and don't overtighten.
- Close it and latch the rear clamps. With the tailgate down and the front clamps tight, unfold the cover fully. Swing each rear clamp down out of the cover rail, slide it at a slight angle as far out toward the bed rail as it goes, then pull it straight down and let go so it hooks under the metal flange. Latch both sides.
- Attach the tethers. Open the cover. The tethers hang from the cover bow; clamp each one to the metal flange of the bed rail and tighten its knob, driver and passenger side.
- Recheck after a week. Re-tighten the front clamps and tethers after your first week of driving, and check them now and then. To drive folded, stow the rear clamps in the rail before you fold the second section, fold it to the cab and buckle both straps.

Extang covers the Trifecta Signature 2.0 against defects in materials or workmanship for five years from the date of purchase.- What's covered: the rails, aluminum components, clamps, bows, hardware and the tarp.
- A defective cover or part is repaired or replaced, at Extang's choice; Extang may substitute a newer model of similar form and function, or offer a warranty discount on a full replacement.
- For the original purchaser only, not transferable. Register the cover with Extang, or keep a detailed, dated receipt; contact us for registration help.
- To keep it valid: clean with Extang Tonno Tonic or mild soap and water (no conditioners that contain silicone or petroleum); keep every clamp fastened when driving closed, or drive fully folded with both buckle straps fastened and both tethers attached; never drive with it partly open; don't let cargo press against the tarp; clear snow, ice and debris before folding; stow the rear clamps before folding the second section; re-tighten the front (cab) clamps and tethers after the first week of driving and check them from time to time after that; take the cover off before the truck is towed from the rear.

Ok, but could be better for the price.
I bought this for a 2023 Ford F150 Lightning. The main complaint is that it's about 1" to 2" too short. The best you can do is position it so the seals at the front and back barely make contact. As a result it leaks in the rain / car wash, etc. The attachment fittings are pretty cheap and flimsy. Not sure how long the spring loaded latches at the rear will last as they feel like they are going to break every time I use them, but so far they seem to be hanging in there. For the price it seems like you should be getting a bit higher quality product. One other complaint is that it was not packaged well for shipping. The box arrived busted open with the contents spilling out. Luckily it was not damaged. On the positive side the cover looks very nice, and the canvas material seems to be pretty durable. Installation was pretty easy, except for it being too short. I've driven on the highwayβ¦

Great Fit
I ordered this tonneau cover since my truck didn't come with the OEM Ram tri-fold cover. Installation wasn't too hard, but it was difficult finding a tri-fold soft cover that was compatible with the Ram Box. The fit is tight and actually seems to be more water tight than the OEM cover I had on my prior truck. The safety straps are entirely unnecessary since the front hold-downs screw down tight against the rails. Currently the safety straps are hanging down and I'll cut them off so they're out of the way. All in all, it's a nice looking/fitting cover and a good alternative to a heavy, hard cover if you don't need that.

2019 GMC Next Gen Install
Installed the 2.0 Signature Canvas on my nexgen 2019 GMC Sierra. This cover has a classy look and I always get compliments on it and asked about. I love the cover and wouldβve give it 5 stars however it offers a lot of resistance when you close the tailgate-so much so I actually use my fingers and raise it a tad to help eliminate the resistance between tailgate and cover. I think Iβd Extang included a slight bow to the center it would eliminate this problem. I had the Signature 2.0 Tonneau on my last truck -a 2017 Tundra and it could not have been a better fit. Ran it 2+ years 55k miles with no issues and never a leak. The canvas material is easy to clean-I never touched it with anything except my electric pressure washer. Remained new looking entire time. I would recommend this cover in the next gen just be aware it is a very tight fit when closing the tailgate and truly, this is mostβ¦

I was initially worried that this cover wouldn't work well with the new "barn door" tail gates on my new 2020 RAM truck, but it doesn't seem to be an issue. This cover couldn't be any more simple to install or use out of the box. Open the box, place on the truck bed and adjust and latch the securing levels and you're done. In my opinion, if you struggle with installing this cover out of the box on a pickup truck, you probably shouldn't be driving anything other than a Radio Flyer wagon....

Nissan Owners Read This
Good looking and overall high enough quality. But if you own a Nissan with cargo rails, there is a critics extra page of instructions that they inexplicably donβt include in the boxβ¦ you have to call them for it. I fought this thing for an hour and a half before giving up and calling (a day later since the call center has limited hours), only to have the agent say, βIβll email you the extra Nissan instructions. That should help you.β And it didβ¦ but this couldβve been a 45-minute, easy installation vs. a 2.5-hour struggle that played out over two days.

This second generation cover is not as well made, nor does it fit well. I have a 2017 F-150 and this cover just does not fit like it should. Water puddles on it. I do not recommend it nor would I purchase it again.

2020 Ram Ltd w/Rambox and MF Tailgate
Install took a good hour to remove bed rails and seal them, then re-install them. Then install the rails for the cover. But once installed i can see no daylight from inside the bed which should eliminate the water penetration. I also used the larger D seals to double up (with the excess) in the tailgate area where there could have been some water leaks. Top looks and fits great and is tight with very little flapping from speed. Note with the Rambox it is a install project vs a normal bed.

Nice look, terrible strap design
Biggest issue is the two straps they are used to secure the top when folded up. At speeds of over 50 mph, the tonneau starts to "flap" uncontrollably, very unnerving. If the plastic buckle fail, this will end in a disaster. The straps are pulled tight, with no additional room to make it tighter. I've had to rig a secondary hold down to ensure the tonneau remains on the truck at highway speeds.

Iβm very happy with this tonneau cover. I love how easily it installs and removes. I have a pickup camper I use in the summer so I need a tonneau cover that removes easily, and this one is perfect for that

Everything seems to be above average but have a issue with the length. I feel like it needs to be an inch or two longer, only part of the rear and front seal on the cover sits on the truck bed.

I purchased the cover for
I purchased the cover for a 2017 Nissan Titan. It made with quality materials and looks great. However, it does not fit my bed perfectly. The actual rubber seal is a little short lengthwise. It will only contact either the tailgate or the front of the bed but not both. Also the rubber seal is not cut to make a water right seal at the front wall of the bed. You also cannot drive over 40 mph with the cover folded as the lashing on the clips starts the slide and the cover starts to unfold

Great looks and quality. The only thing I didn't care for is having to lay down in the truck bed to attach the front clamps. It takes a little longer to remove then my last cover because of this. Clamps are strong though. No water leaks with a good gasket around the base of the cover. Overall, I recommend purchasing the cover.

A good cover except for one thing: the canvas fabric material has a defect line that runs the entire length of the cover front to back, about a foot from the left side. I first noticed it after installation, now it's the first thing I see every time I look at it.

Looks good but...
The cover flaps like crazy at freeway speeds and it's worse when the cover is folded up and strapped down because air gets under it and balloons up and is so unnerving as you travel down the freeway. Maybe the cover should have 4 straps instead of two to secure it down when its folded up and driving at high speeds. The cover could also be an inch longer as it barely goes over the tailgate when closed.

I thought this one that
I thought this one that I purchased had the clamps in the front they're just locked on and did not have need any Screwing down in the front Towards the cab it would make for an easier and quicker removal

Nice cover, poor cold weather design
The material for the cover is great, however, it freezes to the rails of my truck and when I tried to break it free it destroyed my hinge pads rendering the back no longer weather proof

Overall a good cover
Installation was easy. Cover could be about an inch longer and wider to cover entire top of the bed. The handles that secure the top to the bed and detach could be stronger. I have seen an older model (for a Chevy Silverado) with a bigger and much tighter handle mechanism, so I was surprised by the lower quality of these handles for the Tacoma version.

Very good cover
This is my second extang cover. The first was excellent quality and so far it looks like this one will be as well. It doesnβt fit quite as well in that the spring clips near the tailgate fall in an awkward location on my Chevy Colorado.

I was let down for years the company sent me parts. Then when I was told that the model has changed and no recoup of funds towards the new cover it cost quite a bit to replace it. But since I really like that model, I purchased a new one.

Works with some modification
Had to cut the rear clips a little to get them onto the bed rail. Works so far but wasnβt completely convenient. The material is awesome and it folds up nicely.

Don't waste your money.
Initially the cover looked nice but after only one summer in the Florida the fabric has already began to stretch. It now holds water on top whenever it rains and will flop up and down when driving on the the highway. I would not recommend this cover and wish I would have saved for a more solid cover.

2023 Tundra Trifecta Signature 2.0
I had the signature series tonneau cover on my 2016 Tacoma. This review Iβm comparing what Iβve had to what I received. The material is more nylon feeling than canvas. As far as fit, the fit is expected. itβs cool to see the upgraded safety features extra straps to tie into the truck bed. The plastic handles, donβt feel as durable as the previous tonneau cover. Other than that itβll keep whatever you put in the back dry. Some water may make it into the bed but thatβll be gaps in the bed

Returned for wrong bed size
Returned and reorder, went through filter for 6.5 bed size and filter let in a 5.5 bed size which was too short and returned.

Waterproof
The cover looks great, was slightly difficult to install but I had Christmas presents in the bed of my truck and they got soaked. They need to work on a better seal for their covers
