Features
- 4-Digit Digital Display: The LCD shows each batch on a 4-digit counter that reads from 0.01 up to 9999, and keeps two 7-digit totals underneath: one you can clear and a master count that never resets. Readings can be set to ounces, pints, quarts, liters, gallons or one custom unit you define.
- 6-40 GPM Flow Range: Fill-Rite rates the 900 digital meters for 6 to 40 GPM (23 to 151 LPM) at line pressures up to 50 PSI. The electronics are specified for -40 to 140°F, so the meter keeps counting through cold mornings and hot yards alike.
- Plus or Minus 1.25% Accuracy: Fill-Rite quotes ±1.25% accuracy, with repeatability of ±0.25% at the flow rate you calibrate it to. Calibration is done on site with a container of known volume, so you can tune the meter to your own fuel and pump.
- Aluminum Nutating-Disc Body: Inside a powder-coated aluminum housing, a nutating disc chamber measures the fuel by displacement. The whole meter comes apart for service while the piping stays in place, and two AA alkaline cells run the display for 2 to 4 years by Fill-Rite's estimate.
- Pulse Output Option: CDP and CDPX models add a pulser for fuel management systems: 10 pulses per gallon, liter or quart, using a current sink signal of 20 mA at most. Fill-Rite's manual requires its intrinsically safe barrier wherever explosive vapors can collect.
- Four Port Positions: The meter can be turned to four port positions for horizontal or vertical runs, with fuel moving either way. Ports come in 1" or 1-1/2" NPT, and the BSPT versions carry tapered British pipe threads for metric installations.
Description & Fitment
The 900CDP1.5BSPT is the pulse-output digital meter threaded 1-1/2" BSPT for metric systems. Listed at 23 to 151 LPM and ±1.25%, it feeds a fuel management system with 10 counts per liter, gallon or quart, and Fill-Rite's manual groups CDP models with the intrinsically safe barrier.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check your setup: a 1-1/2" BSPT line wired to a fuel management system. NPT version: 900CDP1.5. 1" BSPT: 900CDPBSPT. Without the barrier: 900CDPX1.5BSPT. Display only: 900CD1.5BSPT.
Not for: fueling any aircraft, drinking water or fluids that contain water, and bleach, hydrochloric acid, ink, sulfuric acid or salt water, all of which Fill-Rite's 900CD manual rules out. Keep line pressure at 50 PSI or less. In an area where explosive vapors can build up, such as within 20' of gasoline pumping equipment, the pulser must be wired through the intrinsically safe barrier.
About Fill-Rite
Fill-Rite is a Gorman-Rupp company that designs and builds transfer equipment for fuel, oil and chemicals: electric and hand-operated transfer pumps, plus the meters, nozzles, hose and filters that go with them. Its sites are in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Lenexa, Kansas.
Its transfer pumps are built around cast-iron rotary vane bodies, and Fill-Rite stands behind them with a tiered warranty that runs for the life of the pump castings, 5 years on the motor and 2 years on wear parts.
Buying Fill-Rite from Prestige Truck. Fill-Rite asks for proof of purchase with any warranty claim, so keep your Prestige Truck order receipt with your records.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the 900CDP1.5BSPT fit NPT pipe?
No. It is threaded BSPT; the 900CDP1.5 is the NPT version.
Is the barrier included?
Fill-Rite's manual places CDP models with the barrier, but Fill-Rite publishes no item list for this BSPT model. Ask us to confirm; the barrier kit is KIT900CDPBA.
Which units can the display show?
Ounces, pints, quarts, liters and gallons, plus one custom unit you set yourself. The batch counter, the resettable total and the master total all follow the unit you pick.
When does the meter need calibrating?
Fill-Rite's manual asks for it at installation, after the meter has been taken apart, after heavy wear and whenever you switch to a fluid of different viscosity. Run between 6 and 40 GPM into a container whose volume you know.
How long do the batteries last?
Fill-Rite estimates 2 to 4 years from the two AA alkaline batteries. Pulse-output models can also take an external DC supply when wired to a fuel management system.
What is the difference between CD, CDP and CDPX?
CD meters display only. CDP and CDPX add a pulser for fuel management systems. Fill-Rite's manual treats CDP as the setup with the intrinsically safe barrier and CDPX as the version without it; ask us to confirm the barrier for your order.
Installation
Here's the short version. Follow Fill-Rite's manual (below) for the full procedure, wiring and safety steps.
- Choose the flow direction first: the meter ships set up for horizontal piping with fuel moving left to right.
- Install it so fuel travels the way the arrow cast on the back of the meter points; flow against the arrow will not register correctly.
- To change port orientation, take out the four corner screws on the meter face with a T25 Torx bit, turn the face to the position you need (four positions, horizontal or vertical, either flow direction) and refit the screws.
- Seal every threaded joint with a suitable pipe sealant or sealant tape so it cannot leak, and set the meter where the display is easy to read.
- Wiring is for a licensed electrician, following the control drawing DC000675-000 packed with the meter; in an explosive atmosphere power and signal must run through the earth-grounded intrinsically safe barrier, with no more than 850' of wire between barrier and meter.
- Calibrate before first use, flowing between 6 and 40 GPM into a container of known volume (5 gal or 20 L or larger): hold CAL and TOTAL together for 5 seconds to enter calibration mode.

Warranty
Fill-Rite's limited warranty policy places the 900 Series meters in its 2-year group: all meter components are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for 2 years.- Coverage runs from the date of sale, or the delivery date if that is later, and only the original purchaser is covered; it does not transfer to a later owner.
- It applies to products bought from Fill-Rite or a seller Fill-Rite authorizes in the United States or Canada, and Fill-Rite needs proof of purchase with a claim. Without proof of purchase or delivery, Fill-Rite starts the clock at the date code on the product.
- Small items such as fasteners, washers, labels, nameplates, rivets, emblems, packaging, thread tape, wire nuts and paperwork are not covered.
- It does not cover misuse, neglect, accident, negligence, improper installation or maintenance, or repairs done by anyone other than Fill-Rite or its authorized representative.
- Fill-Rite's remedy is a replacement, or a refund of the price paid when a replacement or repair is not practical. Its liability is capped at the purchase price and it excludes incidental and consequential damages where the law allows. Implied warranties are limited to the length of this warranty.
- Please do not send the product back on your own: if Fill-Rite asks for a return, it issues a return number and pays the freight.
