Features

  • Nutating Disc Metering: TN meters measure with a nutating disc that drives a mechanical register, built for high-pressure, high-volume transfer lines.
  • Mechanical Register, No Power: The register is mechanical, so the meter needs no batteries or wiring to count.
  • Calibrated At The Factory: Fill-Rite calibrates each TN model for a set viscosity range. A fluid with a different viscosity usually needs a different ratio gear set plus recalibration.
  • Field Calibration Screw: If readings drift, a calibration screw trims the count up or down after a test against a known volume.
  • Mounts In Line: The meter installs in the pipe run on its own support, filled with liquid, with flow left to right, right to left or upward.
  • Not For Resale Use: Fill-Rite marks the TN series not for resale use, so it suits internal transfer and record keeping, not selling fluid by the gallon or liter.

Description & Fitment

Built for thicker oils, the TN760AN1CBB1LAF is a TN760 meter with a liter register and 1-1/2" BSP ports. Its part description lists 0.75 to 15 GPM at up to 400 PSI for high-viscosity lube, a step up in flow from the TN740 for busier oil lines.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check your setup: a lube oil line with 1-1/2" BSP threads and 0.75 to 15 GPM of flow. Lower flow at higher pressure: TN740AN1CBA1LAI.

Not for: selling fluid (not for resale use) and fluids Fill-Rite does not list for this configuration; tell us your fluid first. Pump, hose and fittings are not included.

About Fill-Rite

FILL-RITE.

Fill-Rite is a Gorman-Rupp company that designs and builds transfer equipment for fuel, oil and chemicals: electric and hand-operated transfer pumps, plus the meters, nozzles, hose and filters that go with them. Its sites are in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Lenexa, Kansas.

Around its pumps Fill-Rite builds the pieces that complete a fueling setup: hose reels and swivels, tank vents and pump supports, mounting kits for its cabinet dispensers, TN nutating disc meters, and a compact battery-powered pump for cans and small tanks.

Buying Fill-Rite from Prestige Truck. Fill-Rite asks for proof of purchase with any warranty claim, so keep your Prestige Truck order receipt with your records.

Frequently Asked Questions

What pressure is the TN760AN1CBB1LAF rated for?

400 PSI, per its part description.

Which port size does the TN760AN1CBB1LAF use?

1-1/2" BSP.

Can I use a TN meter to sell fuel?

No. Fill-Rite marks the TN series not for resale use.

Can I switch to a different fluid?

Each meter is calibrated for a viscosity range. Fill-Rite says a fluid with different viscosity usually needs a new ratio gear set and recalibration, so tell us your fluid before ordering.

Can I reset the register while pumping?

No. Fill-Rite warns that resetting with fluid flowing strips critical gears.

Does heat affect the pressure rating?

Yes. Above 120°F (50°C) the pressure rating drops; Fill-Rite asks you to contact it for the hot-service rating.

Installation

Install time Not printed in Fill-Rite's manual
DifficultyNot printed in Fill-Rite's manual
TypeIn-line meter on a mounting support, full of liquid, flow left to right, right to left or upward (Fill-Rite TN700/TN800 manual)
ToolsNot printed in Fill-Rite's manualit calls for pipe compound on male threads and no PTFE tape

Here's the short version. Follow Fill-Rite's manual (below) for the full procedure, wiring and safety steps.

  1. Flush the piping first, keep the port caps on until you are ready, and check that no packing material is inside the meter.
  2. Fit a strainer on the inlet side, plus a thermal relief valve on any section where closed valves on both sides could lock the meter in; Fill-Rite also suggests inlet, outlet and bypass/calibration valves.
  3. Orient the meter so it stays full: flow left to right, right to left or upward, never against the arrow on the case; the register can face up or out.
  4. Put pipe compound on the male threads (no PTFE tape), and secure the meter to a mounting support so the piping carries no stress.
  5. Fill slowly: throttle the inlet valve, open the outlet, start the pump and open the inlet gradually; do not run at full rate until the air is purged.
  6. Recheck calibration after installing: three tests against a prover, master meter or scale holding at least 60 seconds of flow, then trim with the calibration screw (about ±3%).

Warranty, shipping & returns

  • 2-year limited warranty

Fill-Rite lists the TN Series meters in its TN Series tier with a 2-year limited warranty: every pump, cabinet and meter component is covered against defects in material and workmanship for 2 years.
    • Coverage runs from the date of sale, or the delivery date if that is later, and only the original purchaser is covered; it does not transfer to a later owner.
    • It applies to products bought from Fill-Rite or a seller Fill-Rite authorizes in the United States or Canada, and Fill-Rite needs proof of purchase with a claim. Without proof of purchase or delivery, Fill-Rite starts the clock at the date code on the product.
    • Small items such as fasteners, washers, labels, nameplates, rivets, emblems, packaging, thread tape, wire nuts and paperwork are not covered.
    • It does not cover misuse, neglect, accident, negligence, improper installation or maintenance, or repairs done by anyone other than Fill-Rite or its authorized representative.
    • Fill-Rite's remedy is a replacement, or a refund of the price paid when a replacement or repair is not practical. Its liability is capped at the purchase price and it excludes incidental and consequential damages where the law allows. Implied warranties are limited to the length of this warranty.
    • Please do not send the product back on your own: if Fill-Rite asks for a return, it issues a return number and pays the freight.
To start a claim, contact us with your order number and a short description of the problem and we will take it to Fill-Rite with you.
