The side rails clamp to the bed rails, the cover is unfolded onto them and centered, and the buckle ends are fitted to the front panel. Use the install sheet written for your truck, since clamp count, seals and drain tube routing differ between platforms.

Tundra FX sheet covers trucks with AND without the deck rail (cargo management) system: with it, T-nut kits slide into the accessory rail; without it, three standard clamps per side (10 ft-lb).
2022+ Tundra: an extra cab bumper sticks on the cover.
Drain tubes: drill a 5/8" hole through the rubber bulkhead plug (older trucks) or enlarge the existing floor hole (newer trucks).

Coverage is for the first owner only, and proof of purchase or warranty registration may be required. The warranty stays valid only when the cover is cared for as directed: wash with mild automotive soap and water, keep it secured at every point while driving, recheck the clamps after the first week of use, clear snow and ice before opening, and remove the cover before the truck is towed from the rear. Shipping. Tonneau covers ship boxed by ground carrier; the carrier and ship method are set by the carton size and weight when the order is placed. Inspect on delivery. Please inspect the carton and the cover when it arrives, and note any shipping damage with the carrier before you sign or install.

Can I drive with the FX open?
Yes. Use the built-in buckle straps to hold it at two-thirds open, or stand it up against the cab and lock the prop rods to drive with the full bed exposed.
Is the FX waterproof?
It is water resistant, not waterproof. EPDM seals, rounded hinges and drain tubes keep most water out, but anything that must stay completely dry should ride in a sealed container.
How much weight can it hold?
Gator rates the FX for up to 300 lbs on the closed cover when the weight is spread evenly.
Do I need to remove it for towing?
If your truck has to be towed from the rear, Gator requires the cover to be taken off and stored first, or the warranty is void.
What care keeps the warranty valid?
Wash it only with mild automotive soap and water, clear snow and ice before opening, and recheck the clamps a week after installing and from time to time after that.
