- Installs in Minutes: The cover arrives assembled and clamps to the bed flange with no drilling, and on most trucks the clamps tighten by hand. If a plastic bed rail cap hangs below the metal flange (Gator names 2004-14 and 2021 F-150 and 2009-19 Ram as common cases), trim the cap so the clamps reach metal. The 2024+ Ranger and Tacoma use brackets and a Torx driver.
- Opens in One Smooth Motion: Spring-loaded clamps release and grab in a single smooth movement, so opening the cover and latching it shut takes seconds and it closes firmly every time.
- Upgraded Frame: A heavy-duty aluminum frame carries support bows that Gator says are now 70% larger, so the vinyl holds its shape instead of sagging under rain, hail or snow.
- Clamps Tuck Into the Bows: When the cover folds, the clamps sit recessed inside the bows instead of rubbing on the fabric, which protects the vinyl from punctures. Stow the rear clamps before folding the second panel.
- Long-Lasting Vinyl: The top is a tough vinyl that resists tears and weather, and foam rubber seals on all four sides help keep rain, dirt and dust out of the bed. Gator says it tests the SFX from -40 to 180°F and from 0 to 95% humidity.

Description & Fitment
The Gator SFX is a soft tri-fold tonneau cover: tough vinyl stretched over an aluminum frame, sealed with foam rubber on all four sides and held down by spring-loaded clamps. Fold it toward the cab for two-thirds of the bed, or lift it off by hand when you need all of it. Gator builds it for Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Ram, Toyota, Nissan and Jeep pickups; choose your truck and bed length to find the part that fits.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I avoid damaging the vinyl?
Stow the rear clamps in the rail before folding the second panel, since a loose clamp can puncture the fabric. Clear snow and ice before folding, and keep cargo from pressing on the vinyl.
Do the clamps need re-tightening?
Yes. After roughly a week of driving, snug the cab clamps and tethers again, and recheck them every so often. Fitment is specific to the year, bed length, and in some cases rail system or storage box noted in the title, so match those before ordering.
Is the SFX waterproof?
No soft cover is watertight. Foam rubber seals on all four sides keep most rain, dirt and dust out, but some moisture can get in during heavy weather, so keep anything that must stay dry in a sealed bin.
Can I drive with the cover folded?
Yes, with every panel folded up and secured at the cab by the buckle straps and both tethers. When closed, all four clamps must be engaged. Driving with it partly open voids Gator's warranty.
Can I take the cover off completely?

Gator backs the SFX with a 2-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.- The hard parts (rails, clamps and bows) and the vinyl fabric are each covered for 2 years from the original purchase date.
- If a cover, tarp or hardware part is defective, Gator repairs or replaces it at its choice, and may substitute a newer model of similar form and function.
- Coverage is for the first buyer and can't be transferred. Gator asks for a registration on file or proof of original purchase (a dated, itemized receipt), so keep your order receipt.
- To keep it valid: wash with mild car soap and water only; use only water-based vinyl conditioners, never ones with silicone or petroleum; drive only with all four clamps engaged, or with every panel folded and held at the cab by the buckle straps and both tethers; stow the rear clamps before folding; clear snow and ice before opening; check the cab clamps after the first week and now and then after that; and take the cover off before the truck is towed backward.
- Claims need a return authorization number before anything is sent back. Gator may ask for the part, postage prepaid, to inspect it, and shipping for a repair or replacement is at the owner's cost; Gator charges nothing else for a covered repair or replacement.
- Not covered: accident damage, neglect, unforeseeable use, improper installation or servicing, or anything not caused by a defect in material or workmanship. Your state may give you other rights as well.
