Fits the same truck
Dominator DSS sliders tuck high and tight against the body, giving a place to step into the cab while costing very little ground clearance. The higher the slider sits, the less likely it is to catch on rocks and ledges.
A full-length slider and outer rub rail stand between the rocker panels and kicked-up rocks and road debris. Frame-mount versions on select vehicles add strength where the trail gets rough.
A full-length 2" dimpled steel step pad bolts on top for footing. The textured black powder coat resists rust, chips, scratches, oil and chemicals.
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Each listing is made for specific vehicles and cabs, and the fit table lists them with any exclusions, such as diesel-engine versions of certain vehicles. Match your vehicle, cab and any noted equipment before ordering. A few vehicles are excluded by factory equipment such as KDSS; the fit notes name it.
No. Go Rhino says the DSS is not as durable as a dedicated rock slider. It does guard the rockers well against kicked-up rocks and road debris, and frame-mount versions add strength on select vehicles.
Very little. The DSS is designed to tuck high and tight against the body, which also lowers the chance of catching on obstacles.
Frame-mount versions require drilling. Most rocker-mount applications bolt to factory holes, though some need small holes drilled where factory holes are missing. Check the guide for your part number.
Yes. The 2" dimpled steel step pad bolts onto the slider and can be removed.
A limited lifetime structural warranty and a 5-year finish warranty for the original owner. Warranty returns need an RGA number.

Wanted a slider with a little more substance. These are perfect so far
These sliders look really cool! Very pleased.
Cool steps. They sit close to the truck and don't have brackets that hang low. Just enough room to step. They don't stick out far from vehicle. They look clean.
DSS steps with optional frame mount brackets
Looks great but needs to be an inch to an inch and a half wider.
This is not a step. This is a slider and has minimal foot contact but they give great ground clearance. Full frame height and easy to install.
They need to be rustproofed inside the tubes!
These look so much better than the factory 6” chrome steps that were on the truck. They fit perfectly. Only issue I ran into was small pieces of sheet metal inside the steps on one side that was rattling. Had to uninstall, remove the end cap and shake out the material. Other than that everything was great.
Lets start with what they don't tell you before you buy them. There is a slot all along the back. You slide in a cleat and bolt the mounting bracket to it. The mounting bracket then mounts to the body of the truck, not the frame. okay, I knew they were not frame mount when I bought them. So the driver's side step tapered down at the end and the cleat didn't fit there. I had to grind it down a bit and still had to pound it with a 4 pound hammer to get things lined up. Installation should be easy but it wasn't. Overall, I like these, but I can see some flaws. the slot long the back could fill up with mud or muddy water that could make washing the truck really suck. You know how after mudding, you have to go over the same area 19 times because of new pockets of mud getting splattered out as you try to wash the vehicle? I'm concerned about that. Also for the same reason, I don't see them…
These Go Rhino DSS Slider/Running boards are the perfect mix of what I was wanting. They are wide enough to step up onto, Yet they don’t stick way out or hang down too far. The construction is solid and the mounting is well thought out.
Ordered these for my 2020 Silverado. Came out great, love the look and unit is solid. Very happy with the results.
The Step is nice but the brackets are not wide enough for the step to be able to use there is only a 1/2 inch of the step sticking out. It was disappointing not having the 2 inches of surface that was promised to step on and use to get into the truck.
I put these on to make it easier for my wife and kids to get in and out. They love these sliders. Plus, it makes the truck look way better. Installation isn't too bad if you have a dead blow.
Very clean look. Sturdy and solid feeling when you stand in them to clean or access roof top. They call them sliders so I would hope that they would protect rocker panels but not something I want to test. They stick out just enough so car doors cant ding you. Satisfied customer.
Nice steps. Low profile. If you need a big, wide step, go with something else, but if you want something that hugs the truck like I did, these are great.
Replaced the factory steps on my ‘21 Bronco with these. They look great and provide higher clearance.
Nice fit, looks great, I like how they are not wide so it doesn't get in the way with me getting in and out of my truck. My one grip and suggestion, is to put it all together (bracket to boards, etc.) keep the bolts loose then install on the rocker panels. This was a much easier installation then per the instructions.
Well it would be nice if the product was delivered. I spoke to an agent which I didn’t get any more clarity and talked with an online agent and no information either on when my running boards will be delivered. I have been told I should have a email with the details of my order but still nothing.
Love the simple low profile of these.
I wanted running boards that didn’t look like helicopter landing gear. These boards/bars mount close to the cab and don’t stick out too far. These are big enough for my wife and kids to get a toe on when getting into the truck. Well made and a simple install.
Mounts nice and tucked up to the cab, and has just enough sticking out to step on. Installation was very finicky getting bolts to start in the nut plates that slide into the board, but is very secure after a lot of swearing and pinched fingers. I really like how these look on the truck!
I’m so happy and pleased I made this purchase. Great quality with easy instructions.
This product was as expected. Great quality, Great looks. Fit my 2024 Chevy Colorado perfectly
Great steps that do not stick out far and they sit tight to the rocker panel. There is enough step to get the side or front of your foot to step up on. The sliders are built well and they are solid.
They function effectively and are simple to install, fitting perfectly on the 2023 GMC Canyon. Nonetheless, it would be beneficial for the brackets to incorporate an added upward vertical angle to adequately cover the pinch weld area of the truck, as their current configuration does not provide substantial coverage in that area.
Only comment is I wish they fit closer to the bottom of the rocker panel, they hang lower than i thought they would. I do really like how slim they are and don’t protrude too far out from the side of the truck.
These look and feel perfect. These are exactly what I wanted.
The Go Rhino Dominator DSS Sliders are well built and look good on the truck. I wanted a low profile step and these are perfect. I really like the product with one exception associated with design and installation. For installation on my 2024 Ram 1500 Quadcab, there are three brackets per side. The brackets that connect to the truck's rocker panel were easy, leveraging factory studs. But those brackets connect to angle brackets that slide into a square tube on the back of the slider. Unfortunately, the opening for inserting the angle brackets is exactly aligned with my middle rocker panel bracket and I feel like it compromised the strength of that middle bracket. This could be solved by moving the opening away from the center of the step, or the center bracket could be wider so that it spans the opening - it is almost the exact width as the opening in the tube. Overall, I am happy with…
Installed wasily and seem super solid. Could be just a bit wider but they are not steps.
The paint was scratched and bubbled in multiple areas on both sides. An additional mounting bracket for each side should be included since there is an extra factory mounting area. The ends where the tube meets the square base is just an open hole area that just looks unfinished and could have been welded or bent to shape instead of leaving an open area. The mounting brackets could be a little wider where the slider meets to prevent the bracket from digging in to the slider if you mount it too high. Overall not bad easy install but a few things could be revised to make them great
The Rhino DSS Dominators give reasonable protection for the rocker panels of a Colorado or Canyon. There reduced width allow for a sleek factory look. Consider the D6's if you want additional width for those who actually need them for steps into the truck.
Looks really good on the truck
Installation was straight forward. Read the instructions first. An extra set of hands would make the job easier. Fit and finish very good.
Great protection for the cab and works great as a step to get in !!!
The install of as super easy and they look great. If you’re looking for a low profile running board this is the one. It gives you enough step to get it but not too much to where it’s looks bulky. The step being remove able it does make a little noise when you step on the step. Was able to add rubber washer underneath to keep them from making any noise.
I have been looking for a set of Step Bars , for my 2020 Ram 1500 Midnight Edition, that are a Snug Fit to the body ( Drip Pans ) are still functional & blend with the body lines of my truck , for a very long time . These Step Bars do “ All of the Above “ , are finished in Black Powder Coating, are a Heavy Tubular Design & a Quality Product. Installation is a bit tricky , due to the mounting bracket design & these are Heavy Duty Bars. Rhino recommends having another person there to help with installation. I did the installation myself & it’s a balancing act of lifting these Step Bars into position under the truck , inserting the bolts through the Slide Bar & into the Mounting Brackets themselves ! This process would’ve been a lot easier with another set of hands to help lift & hold these bars into position , during the mounting phase . In the end , the tedious work was well worth it…
I am super happy with these. They look great and feel great getting in and out. The 24 Taco is kind of bare without them, IMO...
I love the item. But the best instructions. The box was destroyed, the instruction sheets were torn and very hard to read. I'm pretty sure I received a return box cause it was missing hardware which held up my install. It should be noted that it takes 2 people to install no matter what.
Product arrived in overall good condition other than one small deep scratch. Install is easy but would be easier with another person to hold in place when mounting. They do add a nice look and some protection to the rocker panel, although they don't mount to the frame which makes for an easier install. Just wish they were an inch wider to prevent those door dings by others that don't really care if they slam their car door into the side of your truck when getting out of their vehicle.
These fit high and tight, and provide a first line of defense for your rocker panels. No loss of breakover clearance. Perfect for shoring up a ranch, mild off-road, or hunting truck. Fit and finish is great, and they look extremely good. The DSS do what is intended very well. But- running a 3 1/2 inch lift and need a step to not destroy the seat while exiting. Men's size 13 feet and womans size 8 feet need a lot of concentration to not slip off these even when clean and dry. These will be useless as steps in the mud or snow. The miss was mine, the DSS nailed the look I was after but I need a usable step. I just ordered Dominator D6 bars in hopes of getting the best of both worlds.
Love the way these look on my 2024 Chevy 2500. They don’t hang low and keep your ground clearance. Only slight downside is they are very shallow. I don’t mind this but some might as you can’t stand on these with enough foot without holding onto the handle.
Install instructions were in Spanish only. Inserts that connect to frame mounts wouldn't fit inside rails. Had to grind away an 1/8th " off the ends so they would slide in. A friend and I couldn't get them installed (we both are good working on cars). Had to pay a garage with a lift to put them on. My mechanic said it took him two hours and a lot of greif. They do look good and are sturdy but the install was a nightmare.
