Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme DT Side Steps: Pair of black tube-frame side steps with two perforated step plates each on white

Step and slider together

Dominator Xtreme DT side steps give a lifted vehicle or SUV a real step into the cab and real protection along the rockers. The design sits between a running board and a rock slider, taking the strengths of each.

Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D2 Side Steps: Set of black steel mounting brackets, flat plates and hardware bags laid out on white

Rails that take the hits

Lower rub rails run along the rockers to absorb impacts and scrapes, and a tri-tube supported rub bar adds strength along the full length. The outer rail doubles as a step with hex-patterned, punch-through pads.

Tough textured black finish

The mild tubular steel is coated in a textured black powder coat that resists rust and stands up to trail use. The 2" wide step surfaces come off for painting if you want a custom look.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

How do I find the right part number?

Each listing is made for specific vehicles and cabs, and the fit table lists them with any exclusions, such as diesel-engine versions of certain vehicles. Match your vehicle, cab and any noted equipment before ordering.

Are these steps or rock sliders?

Both. Go Rhino designed the DT to work as a side step and a rock slider, with rub rails that guard the rockers and outer rails that double as steps.

Rocker mount or frame mount: which do I get?

Most DT applications mount to the rocker panel. A few, such as select Tacoma and Wrangler JL versions, mount to the frame. The fit table and the guide for your part number show which one you are ordering.

Will I need to drill?

Frame-mount versions require drilling into the frame. Most rocker-mount applications bolt to factory holes, though a few need small holes drilled where factory holes are missing. The guide for your part number says which.

Can the step surfaces be painted?

Yes. The 2" wide stepping surfaces are removable and paintable, so they can be colored to suit the vehicle.

What warranty do they carry?

A limited lifetime structural warranty plus 5 years on the finish for the original owner. Warranty returns need an RGA number.

Great product - poor instructions.

Very pleased - solid product. Instructions suck. They said nothing about there being a left vs right side. Luckily…they line up with the doors better when they are reversed. You need three people for install. Fortunately, one of us was an airplane mechanic (for real).

Solid but a bit slim

It’s easy to install, easy to assemble. And it’s very solid too. Instructions are very clear and concise Only downside, it’s a bit hard to use as it’s too thin and only a little bit peeks out from under the vehicle

Bad Install

Fit and finish are great, but the install was over complicated due to the “slide in mounts”. It was smooth until you have to position the slider and step to the mount on the Bronco. Once they are on the look and work great though!
