Is any drilling or trimming needed?
Yes, ICON's install sheet for 198520A includes drilling, cutting or trimming. Read the sheet in the Installation section below before you start, or have a shop do the work.
Full pack, expansion pack or Add-A-Leaf: what is the difference?
A full pack replaces the whole spring. An expansion pack keeps the factory main leaf and replaces the secondary leaves. An Add-A-Leaf kit goes in place of the factory overload leaves. Each part's title tells you which one it is.
Will the ride get stiffer?
Not by design. ICON builds several of these parts with a softer rate than the factory leaves they replace, and its multi-rate packs let you set the rate for your load. The description of each part says how it is rated.
Which lift height should I choose?
Match the rear part to the rest of your ICON system. ICON lists the lift for each part in its title and in the fitment rows, and the front of the truck should be set up for the same lift.
What warranty applies?

Here's the short version. Follow ICON's install sheet (below) for your vehicle's exact steps and torque values.
- Using a properly rated jack, raise the rear of the vehicle and support the frame rails with jack stands. Ensure the jack stands are secure and set properly before lowering the jack. NEVER WORK UNDER AN UNSUPPORTED VEHICLE.
- Using a 19mm, remove the upper and lower shackle nuts. Remove the outer shackle side plate.
- Install the ICON spring; Again, it is heavy so a helper is highly recommended. Install the front spring bolt first.
- Tighten the center pins to 25 ft-lbs. Reinstall the cross bolts and sleeves in the retainer clips. Make sure the bolt go from the inside out with the head toward the frame for clearance.
- Connect the cross bolts and sleeves to the spring retainers using a 9/16". Do not over tighten!. ONCE SPRING IS SET TO DESIRED CONFIGURATION:
- Reinstall the tires and lower the vehicle to the ground. [Torque U-bolts to 90 ft-lbs]

- ICON parts must go on as the complete kit shown in ICON's application guide. Swapping out or leaving off a required part voids the warranty.
- ICON repairs or replaces a defective part, at its discretion. Removal, reinstallation, freight and incidental or consequential costs are not covered, and parts that wear in normal use are not treated as defective.
- Not covered: finish (including finish marks from shipping), alterations or modifications, installation that departs from ICON's instructions, racing use, police, taxi, government or commercial vehicles, and sales outside the United States and Canada.
