Description & Fitment
This ICON front sway bar link kit fits the Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT as part of ICON's 2-3" lift setup. It suits owners of lifted Jeeps who need to bring the front sway bar back to a proper angle. The billet aluminum links use FK rod end bearings to remove stock bushing flex. About ICON Vehicle Dynamics
ICON Vehicle Dynamics designs and builds performance suspension for trucks and SUVs at its shop in Riverside, California. Engineering is led by Dylan Evans, its head engineer and a SCORE champion driver, and ICON tests its parts on the street, on the trail and under race conditions.
ICON's engineers begin with the result they want from a vehicle, then study the forces acting on it in motion, which is where the name Vehicle Dynamics comes from. Fabrication stays in ICON's own shop, from laser cutting and metal forming to CNC machining, welding and final assembly. ICON calls its suspension systems and shock absorbers the top choice for popular trucks and SUVs.
Authorized ICON Vehicle Dynamics dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized ICON Vehicle Dynamics dealer, so every ICON part we sell is new and genuine. ICON's warranty is for the original retail buyer, on the vehicle the part was first installed on. Keep your Prestige Truck order receipt: we use it when we take a claim to ICON for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my 2020-2023 Jeep Gladiator?
It fits when your vehicle matches one of these rows: 2020-2023 Jeep Gladiator (2-3" lift); 2018-2023 Jeep Wrangler (2-3" lift). If you are unsure about your trim or drivetrain, send us your VIN and we will check it against ICON's application list before you order.
Will I have to cut or drill anything?
Yes, ICON's install sheet for 22061 includes drilling, cutting or trimming. Read the sheet in the Installation section below before you start, or have a shop do the work.
Billet or tubular: which should I pick?
Both replace the factory links. Billet links are machined aluminum with an anodized finish; tubular links are DOM steel with a powder coat and a high-clearance shape. ICON offers both on several platforms, so choose the build you prefer.
Do adjustable links need setting up?
Yes. Adjustable links are set to length during the install, using ICON's measurements for your vehicle. A shop can do this when it aligns the vehicle.
Do the rod ends need greasing?
ICON uses PTFE-lined FK rod ends and greaseless multi durometer bushings on most kits. The Ram 2500/3500 tubular links are the exception: ICON says their dual stage bushings can be greased.
What warranty applies?
ICON's published limited warranty applies to its link kits, for the original buyer and the vehicle they were first installed on. Contact us first for a claim and we will open it with ICON.
Installation
- Drill
- 1/2" Drill Bit
- Torque Wrench
- 5/8" Socket / Wrench
- 3/4" Socket / Wrench
- 18mm Socket / Wrench
Here's the short version. Follow ICON's install sheet (below) for your vehicle's exact steps and torque values.
- Using a properly rated jack, raise the front of the vehicle and support the frame rails with jack stands. Ensure the jack stands are secure and set properly before lowering the jack. NEVER WORK UNDER AN UNSUPPORTED VEHICLE.
- Remove the factory sway bar links using an 18mm.
- Using a 1/2" drill bit, carefully drill out the sway bar hole.
- The sway bar links come preassembled by ICON, verify that the studs are in the proper orientation before mounting.
- Mount the sway bar link with the open eyelet on the passenger side using the supplied spacers with the factory bolt and an 18mm socket/wrench. [Torque to factory spec] Mount the stud of the rod end to the sway bar using 1/2" washers on both sides with a 5/8" and 3/4" socket/wrench. [Torque nut to 50 ft-lbs]
- Keep rod ends parallel and tighten jam nuts using a 3/4" wrench.
