Fits the same truck
A short piece from the manufacturer on looking after the cover. It goes through routine cleaning of the panels and the seals, which is the maintenance that keeps a folding hard cover working and looking right.
An install video showing the cover going onto a truck from the box. Rails are set on the bed, the panel assembly goes on top and the clamps come down, which gives you a realistic idea of the work involved.
A quick comparison of the finishes offered for the tri-fold. Seeing urethane aluminum, diamond plate, carbon fiber and FRP side by side is far more useful than reading the names when you are picking one.
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
The panels fold forward toward the cab in thirds, which opens the back two thirds of the bed for loading. For a full open bed the cover is designed to come off, and the manufacturer builds that removal as a one person job.
The hinges are built watertight and flexible rubber seals run where the cover meets the bed, which is the combination the manufacturer relies on. No tonneau is a sealed container, so treat the bed as protected from weather rather than as dry storage in a standing downpour.
The cover locks automatically at ten points as it closes, so the panels are held down along their length rather than at one latch. Security still depends on the tailgate, since a closed and locked tailgate is what keeps the back of the bed shut.
That is what the design is aimed at. Rubber seals, limited metal on metal contact and the ten point locking hold the panels steady. The extruded channels under each panel stop the flex that usually creates the noise in the first place.
It comes down to looks. Urethane aluminum is the plain finish, diamond plate suits a work truck, carbon fiber suits a newer truck with dark trim and the FRP version is the fourth option. All four are the same cover underneath.
Yes, on the applications where that is listed. Separate part numbers exist for RamBox beds, for deck rail and trail rail systems and for CarbonPro boxes, so select the option that matches how your bed is equipped before ordering.
