Pace Edwards builds the Full Metal JackRabbit with an all-aluminum, double-walled slat deck that sits nearly flush with the bed rails. Features
Double-Walled Aluminum Slats The all-aluminum deck is built from double-walled aluminum slats for strength.
Textured Black Powder Coat A semi-gloss textured black powder coat covers the aluminum and guards it against corrosion and oxidation.
Lock Positions Every 12" Release the deck anywhere along the rails and it engages a lock position every 12", covering part of the bed while leaving room at the rear for tall cargo.
Key-Lockable Twist Lock A turn of the twist lock releases the deck. With the cover closed and a locking tailgate shut, the bed is closed off from the outside.
Tailgate Works in Any Position The tailgate opens and closes on its own whether the deck is fully closed, fully open or parked at one of the lock positions.
Spring Open, Strap Closed Pace Edwards' heavy-duty Continuous Tension Spring carries the deck into a contoured, low-profile canister, and an integrated strap pulls it back out to the tailgate.
Sits Nearly Flush The low-profile deck sits nearly flush with the bed rails, so the truck keeps a clean side view.
Drain Tube and Clamp-On Rails Water that reaches the canister empties through a drainage tube at its base. The cover is weather resistant, not waterproof, and most applications clamp on with the speed clamp system and no drilling.

Installation
Type: clamp-on rails with a vehicle-specific mounting kit · Drilling: none on most applications, drain-tube holes where the bed has no factory drain holes · Bedliner: over-the-rail liners usually need trimming
This application ships with a mounting kit made for its truck, a speed clamp system and instructions, and it clamps on without cutting or drilling on most applications; the drain tubes need drilled holes on trucks without factory drain holes. The rails lay flat on the bed sill and the clamps grip the sill, so an over-the-rail bedliner usually needs the part covering the sill trimmed or removed, and a notch for the canister at the front of the bed may need to come out as well.
This installation film shows the same cover going onto a 2019-2026 Ram 1500. The steps match your truck's generation; the bed length in the film may differ from yours.
Warranty. Pace Edwards backs the Full Metal JackRabbit with a limited lifetime warranty against failure of materials and workmanship, covering separation of the deck panels, all lock assemblies, and all hardware and components. Replacement parts are free for as long as the cover lasts, for the original owner on the original vehicle only, and the coverage does not transfer. Not covered: normal wear and tear such as fading or discoloration, water that gets in at any point and the damage it causes, added parts and accessories, and acts of nature. Coverage is void after lubrication other than what the owner or installation manual prescribes, misuse, negligence or accident, improper installation, cargo that is not secured, or an accessory installed without Pace Edwards' written permission that interferes with the cover. Pace Edwards repairs or replaces a defective part at its discretion and does not cover consequential damage to the vehicle or other property. Shipping. The carrier and ship method are set by the size and weight of the carton when the order is placed. Inspect on delivery. Open the carton when it arrives and check the cover, rails and hardware before you start the install. Note any visible carton damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it, because damage reported later is much harder to claim.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About Pace Edwards
Pace Edwards has built retractable truck bed covers since 1988, designed around security, straightforward operation and a streamlined look that keeps a pickup looking like a pickup. The Full Metal JackRabbit carries a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner on the original vehicle.
The Full Metal JackRabbit is the all-aluminum sibling of the JackRabbit: it keeps the key-lockable twist lock and the lock positions every 12", and replaces the JackRabbit's ArmorTek vinyl overlay with a double-walled, powder-coated aluminum deck. The SwitchBlade and SwitchBlade Metal, by contrast, travel fully open or closed and have a canister that lifts out. Pace Edwards' manual covers are the JackRabbit, Full Metal JackRabbit, SwitchBlade, SwitchBlade Metal, UltraGroove and UltraGroove Metal, and the BedLocker and UltraGroove Electric add powered operation.
Pace Edwards builds its decks on aluminum, laminated with its padded ArmorTek overlay or finished in powder coat, and its manual covers retract on the company's own Continuous Tension Spring. Drain tubes carry water that reaches the canister out of the bed.

All aluminum, nearly flush
The Full Metal JackRabbit builds its deck from double-walled aluminum slats under a textured semi-gloss black powder coat, then sets it nearly flush with the bed rails. A key-lockable twist lock holds it closed, and paired with a locking tailgate it shuts the bed off from the outside.
Twist, push and it retracts
Turn the twist lock and Pace Edwards' heavy-duty Continuous Tension Spring carries the deck forward into a contoured, low-profile canister. The integrated strap draws it back toward the tailgate, and letting go engages the nearest lock position.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Do I have to drill into my truck to install it?
Most applications install without drilling. Each cover ships with a mounting kit made for its truck and a speed clamp system that holds the rails to the bed. The drain tubes use the factory drain holes; a truck without them needs 3/4" holes drilled.
Will it keep rain and snow out of the bed?
It keeps most moisture out, but it is weather resistant rather than waterproof. Water that gets past the deck is funneled to the canister and drains out through a tube at its base. Pace Edwards' warranty excludes water intrusion, so keep anything that must stay dry in a sealed container.
Can I open the tailgate with the cover closed?
Yes. The tailgate works independently of the cover, whether the deck is fully closed, fully open or stopped at one of its lock positions.
Can I leave it partly open for tall cargo?
Yes. Release the deck along the rails and it engages a lock position every 12", so the front of the bed stays covered while a tall load stands in the open rear section.
Will it work with my bedliner?
A drop-in liner that wraps over the bed rails usually has to be trimmed. The rails lay flat on the bed sill and the clamps grip the sill, so the part of the liner covering the sill is trimmed or removed, and a notch may be needed for the canister at the front of the bed. Where Pace Edwards lists a fit note for a truck, such as factory bed storage boxes or a factory rail system, it appears under Fit guidance and in the Notes column of the fitment table on that part's page.
Does the lifetime warranty transfer to a new owner?
No. Pace Edwards' limited lifetime warranty covers the original owner on the original vehicle and is nontransferable. It covers failure of materials and workmanship, including deck panel separation, lock assemblies, and hardware and components.
